This movie really influenced the latest Bond and Christopher Nolan as well

This movie is a complete anomaly within the franchise..Connery had did 5 007 movies but got fed up being Bond so quit..then Aussie Geo stepped up..he did this 1 movie then his manager refused a 7 movie deal because he felt the James bond thing was done with...outdated.😱don't tell that to Daniel, Roger, Timothy or Pierce.😂😂

As a HUGE Hammer Horror fan I’ll mention the three HH actresses in the ski resort…..Julie Ege, Jenny Hanley, Anouska Hempel, and Joanna Lumley (from absolutely fabulous). There are other crossovers in other bond films, but this has FOUR so definitely worth mentioning. It’s a great film. The final act is *chefs kiss* and really chisels some needed depth into the Bond persona.

SUCH a great reaction, Ames! It’s always been one of my favorite bond films. They brought the character down to earth. No jet packs, mini helicopters, gadgets……just a spy tearing out his pants pockets to escape. Lazenby was great. He was a brute. There was SO much homage to this film in the Daniel Craig films, and rightfully so. Thanks for what you do.

Gardner von Holt

Diana Rigg is a delight, she played Emma Peel. (read that as a take on "Man Appeal") on certain seasons of "The Avengers", She took over the female lead in the Avengers - a British spy series from the early 60s -- after Honor Blackmon left to play a role in Goldfinger as P. Galore.

Alan Jones

Gabriele Ferzeti, who played Tracy's father (the one who led the helicopter task force to attack Blofeld's mountaintop compound) was in my favorite Sergio Leone spaghetti western, Once Upon a Time in the West (1968). Only in that one, he performed his dialog in Italian, and his voice was dubbed by some run-of-the-mill pickup voice for the English language version. So it's good to hear his own voice. Sounds much more natural here than the dubber sounded there.

I suspect that the main theme is an instrumental only as "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" is kind of a mouthful. "Goldfinger", "Thunderball", "Skyfall" and even "Casino Royale" roll off the tongue in comparison and not surprisingly have great themes with fantastic vocal performances.
