Used to be funny! Now it's a sad reality.... 💔 What makes this movie so great in my opinion is not only Mike Judge's droll sense of humor but lets give a huge shout out to Luke Wilson's fantastically funny DEADPAN performance! Was perfect for this film!

You may want to go back and watch the post-credits scene . . .

I see people on the street unable to correctly answer questions like "Who did we fight in WWII?" or "What is half of 90?" and it gives me anxiety about the direction society is headed. This film really does have one of the most appalling dystopian futures I've seen portrayed.

Never has a movie this funny depressed me more.

Hilarious and sickening. Does seem more relevant now 20 years later after release? I am glad Joe and Rita got together.

My uncle is in this film. He plays a military officer in the beginning when they're talking to Collins. He said Mike Judge was hilarious and great to work with. This has been a regular watch since I first saw it in 2006. Looking forward to your commentary!

As an American, I can confidently say this is a documentary, shot in real time .. they just screwed up the date by 493 years. 🥺. Quasi-joking aside, it gets more and more like prognostication than fiction all the time. (Also, Ames, you missed the end credit … just a fun button to the story should you wish to go check it out)
