When the other two shows came out I didn't have HBO, so I never watched them until long after and was able to binge through. Gotta admit. I'm hating this week to week wait slow rolling like a peasant 🤣. At least it will make it last a little longer I suppose.

Good to see Bucky back up in the air with his men where he belongs. Ballsy move to slow the group down to stick with Curt's damaged B-17. I didn't think that was going to work out well for anyone but I was glad to be wrong on that one. Nice to focus a bit on navigation with Crosby in this episode. When my dad was in the Air Force he taught celestial navigation to pilots, so they could navigate by the stars if their instrumentation went out. It was always fun for me as a kid, going outside with him at night. He could point out all the constellations, major stars, and any visible planets.

How can you have Elvis in your midst and not let him sing?!? 😁

Enjoying doing my first watch with you. Bucky does seem kinda young for a major, but not sure. Buck is young but comes across with maturity and self-control. Looking forward to this series. "You know, if this whole thing ended, and there were only two pilots left up in the air, it would be me, and it would be you." Austin Butler was excellent in Elvis (2022). He was nominated for Oscar for Best Actor.

Butler is a definite up-n-comer! I despise Baz Luhrman films but was impressed with his performance and I just realized it’s Austin Butler playing Feyd Rautha in the Dune 2 Trailers we’ve been seeing. Supposedly it was Tom Hanks who asked Austin what he was doing after the ELVIS shoot and said I think you’d be perfect for this character….

In regard to the British attitude to the Americans there was a popular saying in Britain that what was wrong with Americans is that they are oversexed, overpaid, and over here. Most Brits were happy America was in the war but a lot of our service men displayed an entitled attitude that rubbed Brits the wrong way. Also remember that Britain had fought Germany and Italy alone for a year before Germany attacked Russia and a year and a half before Japan attacked America. They didn't like our superior attitude and being told what they were doing wrong.
