As Nodt is my favorite sternritter with the best character design. People underestimate how powerful his fear is. You see back in episode 4 normal shinigami hearts burst admittedly after being struck with his fear because they can't handle how intense it is. Rukia was seconds from dying until byakuya showed up.

As Nödt design is heavily based on Marilyn Manson

It’s weird because they’ve moved stuff around from the manga and changed stuff. At this point in the manga we already got yhwach’s backstory and the thing that jugram said to uryu was not hidden from us he straight up says it and we hear it. Well we read it but point is I’m not sure why they blueballed us in the anime. Idk if it counts as a spoiler since technically we should’ve gotten it by now but I won’t say yhwach’s backstory anyway and nobody else should either. Also they completely changed the tone and feeling of some scenes from the manga. The only downside is that they cut out jugram kabedon.

sakinah

i can definitely see it

Interesting that they'd change it up like that. Maybe just for the anticipation lolol! But can't wait to find out nonetheless. AND WHAT?? THEY CUT OUT A JUGRAM KABEDON WTF ??? 😭 i need to see that so bad omfg

https://mangasee123.com/read-online/Bleach-Color-chapter-565-page-13.html Idk whether to count it as a spoiler or not. That’s the scene that was at the end of episode 5 and the beginning of episode 6. But the scene is so different in the manga it’s a completely different scene and might ruin stuff for later on if you read the text bubbles at least. If you can manage to look at it without reading them that would be ok. Otherwise I would wait until after the anime ends to look at it. Or at least like sometime in cour 4. Anyway whenever you’re ready to see it there’s jugram kabedon

I love this episode so much. It's the full circle moment for Byakuya and Rukia. He went from accepting her execution, to saving her, to now having enough faith in her that he let's her win with her own ability. And her Bankai looks so good, truly the most beautiful Zanpakuto. As Nodts voice actor is Yoshitsugu Matsuoka btw. best known for Kirito in Sword Art Online and Inosuke in Demon Slayer. His range is ridiculous.

omg i had to look up what other characters he’s done and he’s also in blue lock and his voice sounds rly different there too!! he’s crazy talented

sakinah

thanks for this!! maybe i’ll look at it once i’m finished w this whole thing!! 😋

Worst possible episode to watch before going to sleep. 😅

As much as I love Byakuya, I really do wish he'd have stayed dead precisely for this moment. Having Byakuya show up to save Rukia AGAIN kinda takes away from this moment really being her own. First at the Sokyoku, then again in Las Noches, and now here. For her to step out from his shadow and become her own person, I would have liked to see her come up with a way to counter Tartar Foras on her own and end the fight herself with no assistance. Regardless, they had/have some nice moments together where Byakuya acknowledges her strength.

Regarding the changes in the anime adaptation of manga in these episodes, I think part of the reason is to make the pacing tighter and some scenes more convincing. For example, in the manga, the execution of the loser came earlier, but the anime shifted that part to just before Lucia versus As Nodt, which actually makes the viewers to better understand As Nodt's fear of defeat and of Yhwach. Additionally, there are many more detailed changes, which I believe also serve to refine and correct the content of the manga. For instance, in the anime, Uryuu always stood by Yhwach’s side at the start of the war and also took on the task of bringing back the defeated, which were not present in the manga. I think the anime adaptation makes Uryuu's actions clearer than manga.

About Yhwach's backstory, which should have been presented in more detail, the anime director also explained the adaptation intention in a BD interview as follows: We thought we would open the second cour with Yhwach and link it to the first season. In the manga, Yhwach's birth is depicted in the form of a folklore passed down. In the anime we were worried how to portray such a scene, thus; we used an art-film-style theme without narration or dialogue. The genesis of Yhwach went through many changes inthe story-board and each visualisation were very interesting, even the initial drafts. We wanted to use a holy chant 'Yu-ha-ba-ha' during his birth scene. We also wanted to link the first words of Yhwach in the opening scene of the1st season with him singing the Kaiser Gesang with his birth. As for the things Jugram didn't finish saying in the anime, perhaps it was indeed the director's intention to retain some suspense for key plot developments later on.🤣🤣🤣

Finally, regarding the missing "Jugram kabedon," I still feel it's a pity, although I am satisfied with the anime's adaptation of this part. In fact, at some point after Uryuu was designated as the successor, and in this episode where the "kabedon" was supposed to occur, Jugram accurately expressed his thoughts and attitude towards Uryuu. I also think these scenes were removed from the anime to retain more suspense. However, if you just want to see the "kabedon" itself, maybe we could pick that specific frame, removing the text, and then displaying it. I'd be happy to do that if you need it🤣

Akimitzu

the way you said "Byakuya" at 24:41 was so adorable LOL

As Nodt VA is the guy that does Kirito in SAO and also Inosuke in Demon slayer
