The Timelapse video of the "Soprano" Tier Sweetie. One lucky choir member will own this as part of the giveaway.

I'm in the mood to experiment with different ways of making these shorter process videos. This one is a straight up timelapse. But I want to figure out different ways to do them.

One problem I constantly have, and this is getting in the weeds a little, is that I end up with too much footage. It just stacks up.

Some videos I make with intention of turning into some kind of tutorial, that's fine. But a lot of the time I'm just turning on the camera and filming everything.

When I'm painting I don't want to be thinking about camera angles and stuff.

So the easiest thing to do is to just speed up the video and put it to some music. But when I'm in editing mode I want to make the video interesting to watch. And Timelapse's are great but I think there's gotta be a different way to do it.

I can't add narration for every video because If I'm talking about painting, I'll just be repeating myself a lot. For my other videos with narration like the art life and lives videos, I take a long time to write them. The time commitment to footage ratio doesn't make sense.

I'm not good at talking off the cuff so even if I want to do something more improvised I'd have to write something out. And again, the time commitment to footage ratio would be off.

Okay. That's boring to talk about. I'm just brainstorming out loud.

A separate idea I've been playing around with is tutorials about making videos.

I think that could be useful for artists because pretty much every social media platform is dominated by video now. It can be a super powerful marketing tool for artists. If you can make good videos of your work you can stand out and reach a lot more people.

But most artists aren't really video people. So I don't know. I think it could be helpful.

Anyways. Thanks for listening to my brainstorm. Let me know your thoughts I guess.

Have Fun
