In this video I will talk about the importance of experimenting in my artwork and how it is important to experiment and doodle while learning the fundamentals. I'm also going to be doing more lessons about experimentation in between the fundamentals lessons. I walkthrough my charcoals that I use. Then I start drawing. I also talk about the difference between doodling and drawing, a line from taxi driver, how I use fundamentals as a checklist with my art, and other topics.

A Very Obstinate Beaver

Yo. I'm super glad you created a Patreon account. I'm the one who bought your original Devil Gaze a while back. The YouTube algorithm sent me one of your videos when I was looking up a ton of watercolor work. I took up watercolor during Covid lockdowns and it really reignited a dormant art passion in me.

Oh that’s really cool! Thanks man! I’m Really glad you’re here. And I never thought I’d thank the YouTube algorithm for something. Im glad I have one too. It feels so much better than just shooting my stuff into the void of social media. Im still figuring it out but thank you for being here for it and for interacting. I really appreciate it.

I’ll tell you what, man. Just keep doing what you’re doing. I appreciate you. On the longer form posts it’s a weird sensation listening to you talk about art and life, the universe, and everything. Because I’m hearing my inner monologue…but, like, out in the real world. Ultimately it’s comforting to know that I’m not the only one on earth that thinks like that.
