■ STARLINK:
- David Dickinson, Head of Business Products and Propositions at Telecom 2degrees (@2degreesmobile), celebrated 150 years of licenced Sport Fishing in New Zealand last weekend. To celebrate he ventured into the depths Mt Aspiring National Park.
Per David, "On top of the breathtaking scenery and catching a few, the standout was Starlink. In a spot with zero cellular coverage, I managed to stay connected and handle a couple of important meetings I couldn’t avoid. It’s incredibly easy to take connectivity anywhere and mix work and play. This setup wasn’t just practical – it was a game changer. Who knew that between casting and mountain views, I’d also be proving the power of 2degrees Wi-Fi calling? Absolutely stoked."
- Oceania Cruises has completed the installation of Starlink across its 8 ship fleet. It will be included as part of the cruise fare. "The installation of Starlink WiFi across our entire fleet means it's never been easier to stay connected with loved ones."
- Girls With Books, formerly known as Project Education South Sudan, has installed a Starlink terminal for educating young girls from South Sudan. Per the project leader Donna Lester of Salida, "That coincided with Girls With Books’ offices being set up in South Sudan, and with boots on the ground, they were able to install the dish on Thanksgiving morning. Since theft is an issue in South Sudan, the dish was secured onto the roof of their new offices. Because we have this office space, we’re going to start bringing girls into the office. Hopefully they’ll be able to use the internet to broaden their education."
