- The collective impact of Powerwall owners in 2024.
- Tesla announced a Tesla App feature called 'Tesla Recharged'. It is for Powerwall and Solar owners and provides a recap of their years total savings, total amount of energy stored, highest energy generation month, highest energy value, as well as archetype. It will be released with app 4.40.0 in the next few days.
- Tesla's Q4 delivery report will be released two weeks from today on the 2nd of January.
- Tesla has introduced three new digital gift card designs.
- According to Not-a-Tesla-App, Tesla will add 'Weather Radar' to vehicles with Intel Chips. It was previously only available for vehicles with the AMD Ryzen processor (MCU 3).
- Per Tesla Semi Director Dan Priestley (@danWpriestley) on the Saia (@Saia_Inc) announcement, "Very excited to have Saia take delivery of Tesla Semis! They're a great customer with a high mileage duty cycle that matches the capability of the truck. Looking forward to further collaboration and opportunities with them. Also, their wrap is awesome! Side note, they've been running these trucks for over a month, and no one seemed to notice!"
- As I has reported yesterday, Tesla opened their first Blatics store in Vilnius, Lithuania. Here are some additional pics via The Tesla Space (@TheTeslaSpace).
- Emails via public records, show that Tesla has been in talks with the city of Austin’s Autonomous Vehicle Task Force to establish safety expectations for Cybercab and other vehicles since May. Tesla wants to roll out the autonomous vehicles on Texas roads some time in 2025.

- Tesla China VP Grace Tao Lin posted this video stating, "At present, all Tesla models on sale use AMD chips, with a computing power of up to 10 TFLOPS, and the silkiness can surpass many laptops and be comparable to desktop computer terminals. This brings users not only the entertainment of many high-quality large-scale games on the car, but more importantly, the powerful chip greatly enhances the visualization of the smart cockpit screen, the visual response speed of the car map, etc., thereby improving driving safety."
- Cybercab is now on display at the Tesla Store Park Meadows Center in Denver, Colorado. Pics by Saad B
- The Model 3 referral discount is now $1,500, up from $1,000. Make sure to place your order on or before the 31st of December.
FLYOVERS (flight links in sources section):
Fremont Factory and Lathrop Megafactory: MetGod, 18th of December, '24. Foggy day at Fremont, so not much to report. The Megafactory at Lathrop shows a fairly empty Outbound Lot than what we are used to. Good bit at the End of Line. I count 131 total on site. Of interest, is the foundation work taking place near the Outbound Lot. Not sure what it is for.
■ SPACEX:
- Chiquita's (@Chiquita) Starship bananas have arrived at Starbase. SpaceX's Kathy Lueders (@KathyLueders) graciously accepted a few and the rest were donated to the Rio Grande Valley Food Bank (@foodbankRGV). "A great way to celebrate our recent Starship flight test!" Banana pics by SpaceX's Sergio Lara.
- Vast (@vast) announced a deal with SpaceX to launch two Crew Dragon missions to the International Space Station. This is in support of Vast’s future bid for NASA’s private astronaut missions (PAM). If selected by NASA, Vast will be the fifth and sixth PAMs ever awarded by the agency. This would be an important step as Vast prepares to compete with its Haven-2 Space Station design in NASA’s upcoming Commercial Low Earth Orbit Destination (CLD) Phase II program to select a successor to the ISS.
Per SpaceX, "Dragon missions create opportunities for humanity to build a future in space. Falcon 9 launching two Vast private astronaut missions will continue to help make life multiplanetary."
- Yesterday, Japanese space company iSpace confirmed that its second lunar lander mission, Resilience, will launch on the same Falcon 9 as Firefly Aerospace’s first lunar lander, Blue Ghost. Oddly enough, Jason Kim, CEO of Firefly, declined to discuss if this was true, stating, "I would defer the answer to that to our launch provider, SpaceX." SpaceX has not confirmed. The launch of Blue Ghost is expected in mid-January 2025.
- On Monday, at the 126th District Court of Travis County, in Austin, the Carrizo/Comecrudo Nation of Texas, Inc., Save RGV, and the South Texas Environmental Justice Network yet again filed a suit against SpaceX. It is based on the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality's (TCEQ) decision that authorized SpaceX to discharge deluge water without a permit for 300 days or until it obtains the permit. The groups say TCEQ’s decision "was in excess of the agency’s statutory authority; it was made through unlawful procedure; it was affected by error of law; it was arbitrary and capricious and characterized by an abuse of discretion."

■ THE BORING COMPANY:
Vegas LOOP Update:
Michel (@Mic_VegasSphere) hit up the Paradise Road location across from the Virgin Hotel. He says there is a ongoing labor dispute at the Hotel that has held him up form visiting. He did manage to take the pic where you can see tunnel wall sections. Per Michel, "This is the smallest location of any construction so far so it’s pretty cramped."
TomNTex (@TomNTex1) brought to our attention that The Boring Company is at the Las Vegas Convention Center Bronze Lot off 652 Sierra Vista digging a new tunnel. The image above shows a Prufrock and conveyor rack on site.
■ NEURALINK:
- Per NP1 Noland Arbaugh (@ModdedQuad), "You know what's wild? I had a firmware update the other day. You know what I had to do? Click a button on my computer. Nothing up my sleeve. There are no wires here. Neuralink is amazing!"

"The area has no cellular connectivity, but with this Space based communication we can send alerts if motion is detected in real time."
- Qatar Airways is exceeding its own planned timeline of 14 jets by the end of the year. They now have 16 aircraft with Starlink Aviation installed. More are expected in the coming weeks. CEO Badr Mohammed al-Meer last week explained the rollout would have been even faster if the carrier could receive more Starlink kits at a faster rate.

It's has 5x faster real time training parameter updates, and 3x the training compute. Per Elon, "The new recommendation algorithm should be noticeably better." I hope this true.
