- Tesla and Elon brought Cybertrucks to the Palisade Fire areas to establish mobile base stations to provide power to Starlink Internet terminals in areas without connectivity. Per Elon, "We are going to position Cybertrucks with Starlinks and free WiFi in a grid pattern in the areas that most need it in the greater LA/Malibu area... if this helps save even one house or maybe even someone’s life, we should still do it."

"Worked with Tesla to deploy Mobile Powerwall Units and Starlink Minis for Los Angeles County Fire Department and LAPD’s operations centers at Zuma Beach. We collaborated with Footprint Project and on upcoming power deployments to affected fire stations in Altadena and Pacific Palisades. Special thanks to Tesla's Tessa Sanchez for arranging a Cybertruck to assist with our operations. It hauled thousands of pounds, navigated roads with landslides, burning hot spots, and downed power lines, and tackled steep, twisty mountain communities, this is a seriously capable, maneuverable work truck. It made today easier for all of us."

■ STARLINK:
- The Los Angeles Fire Department asked Grey Bull Rescue if they could help donate @Starlink Minis since comms towers and terrain were destroyed by the fires.
Per Bryan Stern, Founder of Grey Bull, "Starlink was the ask and the answer. We got a whole bunch of them for the LACFD, but Elon decided to one-up us! Elon, who is a total rockstar, came to our site with almost a dozen cyber trucks filled with Starlink minis. We got to hang out a bit and showcase Grey Bull Rescue, and Bryan almost made him choke on a rice crispy treat. Elon thanked us for our hard work all over the world, and we couldn't thank him enough for all the Starlinks donated for the fires efforts." We rely heavily on sophisticated technology like Starlink every single day on every single mission. Thanks, Elon, for your support over the years, and looking forward to supporting rescue ops on Mars."
- Today, I got notified that I'm in the T-Mobile / SpaceX Starlink Direct-to-Cell beta! They have made this as simple as possible. You just continue as usual. If your device is out of cell range, it will automatically connect to Starlink. When connected, your device will display T-Mobile SpaceX in the top left corner. Send a text just like you normally would. Not that pics and video messages are not part of the beta. My favorite part, if you text 911, your location is automatically attached. Great for emergencies.
- The Starlink Community Gateway on Nauru. That's an array of four were inaugurated on the 17th December, 2024.

It is a Starlink connectivity solution to ensure customers continue seamless work in fields with little to no cellular coverage. John Deere and the Starlink network will provide farmers who face rural connectivity challenges the opportunity to fully leverage precision agriculture technologies. The product is available now.
