"This is what it takes to make life multiplanetary..." - Elon Musk (@elonmusk)
■ TESLA $TSLA ($346.46, -3.34%):
- "Cybertruck at night" by Billy Kyle (@billykyle).
- Tesla leased a 293,000-square-foot industrial building at 1101 Industrial Blvd in Kyle, Texas, from the Sansone Group. The deal was facilitated by Aquila Commercial and CBRE.
- Tesla China is now offering new buyers of the S3XY lineup transfer of FSD and Enhanced Autopilot for free if they take delivery by no later than the 30th of June.
- John (@teslaownersSV) swung by the Tesla Diner and took the above videos. This place looks like a retro-UFO. Can't wait to charge, eat, and watch a movie here. John also announced today that the new location for the X Takeover (@theXtakeover) is at the San Mateo County Event Center on the 26th of July. Tickets are still available. Link in the sources section.
- Tesla Canada is offering the "Everyday Hero" program that gives $1,000 discounts to first responders, students, and teachers.
- Energy Solutions Group’s 75 MW / 300 MWh battery storage project in Harmignies, Belgium, near Ville de Mons, is using 82 Megapacks 2XL for 4 hours of full-power storage. This project, the largest by ESG, integrates renewable energy into Belgium’s grid via Elia Group’s high-voltage substation. Wallonie Entreprendre, with KBC Bank & Verzekering, invested €15 million, with commissioning planned for autumn this year. Progress pics provided by WE Energy & Circular Transition
- The Tesla Shop is now selling Model 3 Performance Projection Lights for $75. It includes two easy-to-install projection lights suitable for the front driver and passenger’s side doors.
- Today. Tesla Ireland Event Coordinator, Jessica Kimy, and her Team partnered with Cork Racecourse Mallow to offer Model Y test drives. Racecourse Mallow is a horse racing venue which stages both National Hunt racing and Flat racing. Per Jessica, "Tesla is delighted to partner with Cork Racecourse Mallow on this gorgeous sunny day in Ireland - celebrating a sport that’s such a key part of Irish culture."
- Tesla's Model Y in Canada now costs $84,990 due to a 25% tariff on U.S. vehicle imports imposed by the Canadian government. Pre-tariff inventory is now depleted and new orders face July-August delivery dates. The lack of EV incentives now that the iZEV program is paused further strains affordability. H/T Drive Tesla Canada (@DriveTeslaca).
- The New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTA) chose a sole third-party charging provider for the New Jersey Turnpike, denying Tesla co-locations and requesting the decommissioning of 64 existing Supercharger stalls. They did this despite Tesla offering above-market terms, including building Superchargers at all service plazas with upgrades like screens and NACS with CCS1 "magic docks". Tesla prepared for this over three years by building 116 replacement stalls off the Turnpike ensuring no service interruption. Tesla warns this decision hinders New Jersey's 100% zero-emission vehicle sales goal by 2035, as Tesla’s network offers 99.9% uptime, less than 1% wait times, and ~30% lower $/kWh rates.

Fremont Factory: MetGod, 29th of May, '25.
■ SPACEX:

- SpaceX posted Elon's presentation of The Road to Making Life Multiplanetary. There is a lot of enough here and great visuals. Here are the highlights:
Gigabay Starbase, TX, and Roberts Road/KSC, FL: Elon highlights the Giga Bay build locations as critical for SpaceX's operations and 1,000 ship deployment.
Ship Catch: Elon stated he hopes to catch Ship in two to three months.
Raptor 3: New images and video of Raptor 3 on the test stand at McGregor. These engines require no heat shield. Sleek and beautiful engine.
Propellant Transfer: Demonstrations of in-space propellant transfer was shown. This is Mars critical to extend mission capabilities.
Thermal Protection System (TPS) and Reusability: Elon discussed the importance of the TPS for Starship and how it will be adapted for both Earth and Mars atmosphere entry. Emphasizing the higher oxygen levels on Mars is a key obstacle.
Block 3 Starship & Super Heavy: A taller design with integrated Hot Stage and struts, powered by Raptor 3 engines, and not requiring a heat shield for the aft section. An improved version of Starship with a smoother thermal protection system was shown. Future plans include equipping Starship with nine engines, increasing its thrust and payload capacity. 33 + 9 = 42
Orbital Transfer to Mars: Elon reviews the process of transferring Starship from Earth orbit to Mars.
Arcadia Planitia: The location of the Mars Colony will most likely be in the northern Arcadia region. I wrote a post a while back on this. Check it out here.
Optimus First to Mars: Tesla's Optimus robots are intended to be part of the first Mars missions, aiding in setup and operations before human arrival.
Humans Second or Third Mars Missions: Human crews are planned for subsequent missions after initial robotic setups, focusing on safety and infrastructure development.
Marslink: The version of Starlink tailored for Mars was discussed. Elon also mentioned that the new V3 Starlink Satellites are as big as a Boeing 747!
The Timeline: My favorite slide of the presentation. "Let's get it done!"
SpaceX's has added a new webpage that corresponds to the presentation. Link is in the sources section.
- Today, launch 68 of Falcon 9 GPS III SV08 took place from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida. This was the fourth flight for first stage booster . It previously launched CRS-32, NROL-69, and a Starlink mission. The booster landed on drone ship A Shortfall of Gravitas in the Atlantic Ocean. This is the eighth of ten GPS III missions. It will provide three times better GPS accuracy and up to eight times improved anti-jamming capabilities compared to previous models. It was originally planned to launch on a ULA's Vulcan. It was reassigned to a SpaceX Falcon 9 due to delays in Vulcan's certification for national security missions. Deployment was successful.
- Today at Massey's, Starship 37 underwent cryo-testing.
- Booster B18.1 (Test Tank 17) underwent cryo-testing in the can crusher at Massey's on Wednesday. Pic via NSF (@NASASpaceflight).

■ THE BORING COMPANY: N/A... boring.
■ NEURALINK:

- Steve Maxson, host of MedTech Unboxed, shared a new podcast episode featuring Jim Cooney, Neuralink's Head of Machine Shop, discussing precision manufacturing for brain-computer interfaces (BCIs). They covered bridging the machinist skills gap through apprenticeship programs, challenges in miniaturized BCI manufacturing like regulatory demands and biocompatible metal sourcing, and design for manufacturability using 3D printing for prototyping. Cooney also shared his unconventional career path and efforts to inspire diversity, encouraging hands-on exploration in trades.
■ STARLINK:
- Today, South Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT approved three cross-border supply agreements, enabling Starlink and Eutelsat OneWeb to offer their services in the country. Starlink Korea, registered as a fixed-term telecommunications operator in 2023, signed an agreement with SpaceX, while Hanwha Systems and KT SAT partnered with OneWeb. These approvals were required due to restrictions on foreign operators providing direct telecom services and user protection. A suitability assessment of user antennas will be conducted under the Radio Act.
- The National Tuberculosis Reference Laboratory (NTRL) in Eswatini has significantly improved its TB diagnostics and surveillance by reducing genome sequencing turnaround times from weeks to under seven days through the deployment of Starlink. Per SpaceX's Lauren Dreyer (@laurendreyer06), "Starlink has been a game changer for this laboratory in Eswatini."
■ X:
- As XChat rolls out to more users soon, P4mui (@P4mui) has done it again. He posted that it has end-to-end encryption, the ability to send files, to unread a message, to Delete For All a message, a vanishing mode feature, an option to autodelete messages, plus much more. Follow P4mui for great X updates and future features.
- According to Nima Owji (@nima_owji), X Money bank accounts will be held at Cross River Bank. I have not seen this posted anywhere else, Nima did not provide a source, and X has not confirmed or denied his post.
- Today, X's Italy's Cris Nulli (@crisnulli), Emily Ross (@emilyjaneross), and Jawad Khan (@jawadweb) were part of a collaboration at The Song Club, an industry event hosted by Accenture Song and Accenture Italia, where they played a pivotal role in demonstrating the fusion of creativity and innovation for business impact. Emily, a strategist at X with a deep-tech background from her firm Inkvine, and Jawad Web, showcased how X's platform can drive marketing to enhance the economic potential of creative industries.
- X Japan CEO Ayumu Matsuyama (@ayumu_matsuyama) at the Web担当者Forum 2025 Spring event, focusing on leveraging Grok3 for insight analysis and strategic planning in digital marketing. Second is pic by the Editor-in-Chief of Web担当者Forum, Shiho Yotsuya (@Shiho_Yotsuya). Per Shiho, "Matsuyama’s direct boss is Elon, which is wild!"
