"Will be called Grok 4. Release just after July 4th..." - Elon Musk (@elonmusk)
■ TESLA $TSLA ($323.79, -1.43%):
- Tesla Toronto Automation by Josh West (@JoshWest247). One of the places we hear little about.
- They did it! Per Elon, "The first fully autonomous delivery of a Tesla Model Y from factory to a customer home across town, including highways, was just completed a day ahead of schedule!! Congratulations to the Tesla AI teams, both software & AI chip design! There were no people in the car at all and no remote operators in control at any point. FULLY autonomous! To the best of our knowledge, this is the first fully autonomous drive with no people in the car or remotely operating the car on a public highway."
Per Tesla Autopilot and AI Lead, Ashok Elluswamy (@aelluswamy), "Yup! Max speed was 72 mph!"
- Tesla announced they now have 70,000 Supercharger posts across 53 countries, and counting. Per Tesla Director of Charging, Max de Zegher (@MdeZegher), "Congrats to all teams globally! Every opening is gritty problem-solving of bureaucratic approvals, design puzzles, permitting, and pushing utilities to move much faster. Importantly, Tesla Charging is surgical and capex-efficient, disciplined about rightsizing its pipeline and adjusting priorities. Our models are trained on incredible data from this largest global charging network and customer voting input. We don't just build for as many posts as possible, we aim to build the right sites, at the right size, at the right time."
- A groundbreaking ceremony was held at Marriott Hotels Aguadilla
, Puerto Rico, for the construction of a 1.2MW solar array with that will use Megapacks. It will be installed by Pura Energía. PJ Wilson, President of SESA Puerto Rico, highlighted the event as a key step in the island's clean energy transition. David Portalatin, speaking in the video, co-owner of Pura Energía, shared project insights. The initiative supports Puerto Rico’s push for resilient, sustainable energy, backed by SESA Puerto Rico’s advocacy for solar and storage solutions.
- Construction images of Contact Energy's 100 MW/200 MWh grid-scale battery at Glenbrook, near Auckland, New Zealand, using Tesla Megapack 2 XL units. This is a NZD 163 million that will power 44,000 homes for over two hours during peak winter demand. Located next to NZ Steel, it is aiming for operation by March 2026. The project supports renewable energy, reduces reliance on gas peakers, and includes an option to expand to 130 MW. Pics are by Hick Bros Civil Construction.
- The Queensland Energy Club is welcoming keynote speaker, Josef Tadich (@JosefTadich), Tesla Energy's Regional Director for APAC, on Thursday, the 28th of August at The Star, Brisbane, entertainment and hospitality complex. Josef will outline the growing role of battery storage, both Megapacks and Powerwalls, in supporting a balanced energy system. He will also highlight the policy and market signals needed to unlock the next wave of private investment in storage, with a focus on reliability, affordability, and investor confidence. If you would like to attend, the link is in the sources section.
- According to Dong Kun, Tesla Energy Country Manger for China, the Shanghai Megafactory has achieved an localization rate of over 95%.
- The news that Tesla has hired Henry Kuang, former Head of Autonomy at GM's Cruise, to be the new Director of AI and Deep Learning for Autonomous Driving, is false. Tesla's Ashok Elluswamy (@aelluswamy) posted that is was "fake news."
FLYOVERS (flight links in sources section):
Giga Texas: Joe Tegtmeyer (@JoeTegtmeyer), 27th of June, '25.
■ SPACEX:
- SpaceX is retiring Dragon Recovery Vessel Megan. She was chartered by SpaceX in 2016 for fairing recovery, then later modified to recover Dragon Capsules. She aided U.S. human spaceflight's return with Demo-2, and has recovered a total of 24 astronauts. The Crew-9 recovery in March was her last mission. She was named after astronaut Megan McArthur.
- Today, Uncommon.org hosted SpaceX at Mbare Innovation Hub in Zimbabwe. Ryan D. Goodnight (@ryangoodnight) , Sr. Director of Global Licensing & Market Activation, shared Starlink’s origins, engineering, and technology with students. Sarah Gillis (@Gillis_SarahE), Sr. Space Operations Engineer and Polaris Dawn Astronaut, enthralled the community with firsthand stories of zero gravity and life aboard a SpaceX Dragon. The event highlighted how coding education can lead to many things including space exploration. They both showed young Zimbabweans that their potential is limitless.
- Last night, Pad 2 had 2 more hold down clamp arms installed. 4 were pre-installed at Sanchez. Pic from @LabPadre's live feed.
- Raptor 3 SN31 was spotted leaving the McGregor Test Facility this morning. Pic via @NASASpaceflight's live feed.
- Greg Scott (@GregScott_photo) took to the air and gave us some great update pics of the SpaceX facilities around Kennedy Space Center. Check out the progress on the Giga Bay on Roberts Road! For size reference, look at the pickup truck next to the foundation. You can also see more materials have arrived to begin construction for sections of a new Starship Tower most likely for LC-37, which still has the demolished ULA Bay on the ground. Pleas support Greg by going over to his Patreon and subscribing to his amazing content.
- Volunteers removed "approximately one ton of waste" from the Mexican side of the Rio Grande.

It will enhance weather forecasting and air quality monitoring by using an Infrared Sounder (IRS) that measures atmospheric temperature and humidity profiles. Plus, an Ultraviolet Visible Near-infrared Sounder (UVN) that monitors air quality and trace gases.
■ THE BORING COMPANY:
- Michel (@Mic_VegasSphere) Vegas LOOP Update:
First stop by the Paradise Rd. site near the Virgin hotel. This high view is Paradise Road from the Virgin parking lot. Tons of tunnel wall sections here. Per Michel, "Clearly we are in the next phase of this sites." TBC is in overdrive!
Second stop was the Virgin ride share area on Paradise Road and Harmon. Wall sections are moving in and more are arriving. Per Michel, "When completed this will be an easy walk to the Formula 1 paddock on Harmon and Koval road. Build the tunnel baby."
Third was the Firefly Station on Paradise Rd. Cool name! Per Michel, "Not sure if the ramp is temporary for construction, but my guess is the final layout will have ground access. This is supposed to be the closet location to The Sphere. There are 2 already dug tunnel holes you can’t see in the pit. It’s on private property so difficult to see up close. But you can see the progress of the pit itself."
- Lisa Surnow (@lisasurn) has been promoted to the Director of Corporate Operations at The Boring Company.
■ NEURALINK:

- Neuralink dropped their 2025 update and WOW! Neuralink has already implanted 7 patients! Three total in 2024, and four so far 2025 and we are only half way through the year.
The Barrow Neurological Institute (@BarrowNeuro) in Phoenix, Arizona, has implanted six of the seven N1 Implant recipients in the PRIME Study. The awesome Noland Arbaugh (@ModdedQuad), who suffers from a spinal cord injury, was the first recipient. 2nd was Alex, also with a spinal cord injury, who controls a robotic arm in the CONVOY study. 3rd was the great and powerful Brad Smith (@ALScyborg), the first ALS patient. 4th is Mike, an ALS patient who uses the implant to perform CAD-based survey work from home.
In April, the Buoniconti Fund/Miami Project (@BuonicontiFund) implanted the 5th patient, RJ, a U.S. military veteran paralyzed from a spinal cord injury. RJ can now control his computer and smartphone with his thoughts, significantly enhancing his daily life. Second ic is of the Buoniconti Fund/Miami Project (@BuonicontiFund) Team with Elon and Shivon Zillis (@shivon).
The Barrow Neurological Institute then implanted the 6th patient, Rob Greiner (@greiner_ro52817) who suffers from a spinal injury. The 7th patient I do not have any info on.
Neuralink introduced their next-gen surgical robot that implants the BCI threads in 1.5 seconds (vs. 17 seconds), works with 99% of people, reaches >50mm depth, and uses a 95% cheaper needle cartridge. Here is their product evolution game plan:
Q3 2025: implant in speech cortex to decode thoughts to speech.
2026: increase electrodes to 3,000, first Blindsight participant for navigation.
2027: 10,000 electrodes, multiple implants in motor, speech, visual cortices.
2028: 25,000 electrodes per implant, multiple implants, access any brain part for psychiatric conditions, pain, and AI innovation.
- Per Neuralink surgeon Dr. Jordan Amadio (@AmadioMD), "As a neurosurgeon, one of the great frustrations is not being able to do more to treat patients with permanent neurologic injuries, like spinal cord paralysis or ALS. We can only do so much with our best techniques. We can decompress, fuse, or remove things, but typically not restore lost functions. That changes with Neuralink."
■ STARLINK:
- Zhang Xuanqi, Business Tech with Kunshan Fuji Machinery Manufacturing, visited the Starlink Factory in Bastrop, Texas. Kunshan Fuji specializes in precision machinery and components, potentially producing parts like metal casings, brackets, or custom mechanical assemblies for Starlink terminals or production equipment.
■ X:
- X's Regional Head of Government Affairs for MENA, Reem Sadek (@ReemSadek) with X's Head of Global Content Partnerships, Amy Elkins (@Elkins). Per Reem, "Global Content Partnerships Queen X! True pleasure connecting with you!"
Per Amy, "MENA Global Affairs Connect! Representing the globe proudly!"
- Per Elon, "𝕏 is moving to charging for ads based on vertical size, so an ad that takes up the whole screen would cost more than an ad that takes up 1/4 of the screen, otherwise the incentive is to create giant ads that impair the user experience."
- X Ads containing hashtags will no longer be served starting today. Ads and campaigns without hashtags will continue to run as usual.
- The NFL Top 100 series is transitioning to an X Original, premiering this Monday, the 30th of June 30. It relies on a 15-year peer-voted ranking system and targets X’s 50 million NFL-affiliated followers. It will be bolstered by the 2025 NFL Draft’s 1 million authors and 6 million posts. This is a digital-first, short-form approach, that blends NFL Films’ archival footage with live commentary. X hopes it will tap into a study shows 68% of 18-34-year-olds prefer social media over cable for sports content. It will air weekdays at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. ET through the 29th of August, with the top 10 revealed live on the 1st of September at 8 p.m. ET on NFL Network.
■ xAI:
- Per Elon, "Grinding on Grok all night with the xAI team. Good progress. Will be called Grok 4. Release just after July 4th. Needs one more big run for a specialized coding model."
■ DOGE:
Estimated Savings: $180 Billion
Amount Saved Per Taxpayer: $1,118.01
- MSM has been reporting that Edward Coristine (@as400495) 'Big Balls' had resigned from DOGE. Per Edward, "I'm not fuckin leaving..."
