If you guys want timelines in Star Wars, I’ll try to explain. Way before Anakin Skywalker was born the years are referred to as BBY. For the example of Anakin, he was born in the year 41 BBY and the years will reduce to make Anakin older; so when Anakin becomes Darth Vader the year is now 19 BBY; 41 - 19 you get 22, Anakin was 22 years old when he put on the Darth Vader suit. So you guys ask why BBY? This is a significant time frame because it is referred to 0 or BEFORE the BATTLE of YAVIN, that’s when the big battle happened with The Rebels vs The Empire and when Luke Skywalker destroyed the 1st Death Star. When BBY goes to zero we referred time to After the Battle of YAVIN which is ABY. This movie takes place around 1 BBY, so Darth Vader is 40 years old. You guys understand!!
