When I first did the strip I had a simple white background for this bit, which my friend/editor Cooper said was too dull/boring. After struggling to think of something I created this neat explosion, because they're exploding onto the scene. Get it?

Cooper liked it, but felt it was too much, so I toned it down to what you saw in the final version. I still thought it looked pretty cool, so I kept it around. The text/arrows would've been altered to make them stand out more.
