A Kat's (GOD AWFUL!!!) Question #2 High Res (Patreon)

It might be the second question strip, but it's the first in an actual legit format! I'm not sure if I'll be able to pull off something as lengthy as this once a month, so I might ultimately save these for between chapters.

Went to Kinukuniya yesterday and picked up a couple artbooks. One of poses that I plan to use for warmups, and two others that are geared towards idol singer outfits and poses and another that's more gothic lolita stuff. I thought those latter two might be fun to take inspiration from for outfits and costumes. They cost an arm and a leg, but thankfully I can write them off on my taxes next year! Just gotta keep the receipt safe.

I also went to a used video store and found a copy of Ys Book 1 on DVD. That OVA was my introduction to the Ys franchise back in 2005/6, when I watched it on Anime OnDemand through Comcast. Surprisingly the English dub held up better than I thought it would. What was really fun was the effort put into the DVD menu. They took the time to have it look like the original Ys game, with a shot of Minea for the main screen. There was some outtakes that Media Blasters added as they did back in the day. They're pretty amusing.

Now I just need to get Book 2 on DVD, which checking online looks reasonably affordable. Ys II, on the other hand, is ridiculously expensive so I'll live without that.
