Big Things Coming!👀 (Patreon)

Yooooo my people! How have you been? I bring you some exciting news about the future of Samiho Studios, so this post will be a little longer than usual. There will be a conclusion at the end, so if you're in a rush, just skip to that part!

Some of the changes will be Patreon updates, and others will be new features we'll offer in the studio. We want to implement some of those features this year.

• New Team Member

I often use "we" and "us" to describe our studio, and that’s because it’s always been a collaborative effort between me and all of you—the passionate supporters who make Samiho Studios what it is. This has always been our studio—a place for anime enthusiasts who want the most insane figures in our collection. But as our studio continues to grow, it's become clear that I need some help behind the scenes.

So, I’m excited to introduce Scarlet, the newest member of our team! She’ll be helping me manage the day-to-day operations, and you’ll see her around in the chat, posts, and community. Scarlet will also handle some of the video content, presupports, 3MF files, and other important tasks. Let’s give her a warm welcome to Samiho Studios!

• Video Tutorials

Based on your feedback, we’re launching video tutorials to help with common questions and challenges:

• Printer Setup: Understanding settings and resin parameters.

• Model Preprocessing: Generating supports, solving print issues, hollowing models, and adding drain holes or magnet holes.

• Post-Processing: Cleaning, adding magnets, curing, removing support marks, and prepping for painting.

• Painting Techniques: Tips for achieving great results based on based on the renders that come with the models.

We know our community is global, so these videos will be available in different languages to assist as many of you as possible. We also get that it's easier to listen to content while you’re on the go, so we’ll include multilingual audio rather than just subtitles! This is one of the updates we’re planning to roll out later this year.

• Guide Posts

These will be especially helpful for new members, but even veterans might find them useful! We’ll create posts that guide you through our zip files, explain the differences between the "simplified" and "pieces" folders, how to use our supports and 3MF files, and more. We’ll also include tips on accessing models and other resources.

• Special Releases

I know many of you have been eagerly waiting for this! We’re rolling out special rewards based on how long you’ve been subscribed. Think of it like the "loyalty system" you’re familiar with, but with a bit more freedom in the name. These rewards will be brand new models that you can only get through this system—super exclusive and uniquely marked for each member!

If everything goes as planned, this is another update we’re aiming to launch later this year.

• Direct Discounts

All patrons already get discounts on past releases, but until now, we could only offer coupons through Cults3D. Soon, you’ll be able to apply discounts directly in the Patreon Shop. This way, you won’t need to leave the site or create another account to buy the model you want! While we can’t give an exact date, Patreon has promised this update will be available this year.

• Live WIP Sessions

For those that like to follow the progress on the models, Patreon is going to implement a live function (yet this year, they said) and will be using that as a form of work in progress updates. Once a week I'll be sculpting live so you can follow the progress and also learn a bit of how the models are created.

• Community Highlights

Our community is constantly producing insane content, and I’ve already set up a special section on our official website ( https://www.samihostudios.com/community ) to showcase your work. But I want to go further! We’ll start posting regular community highlights on Patreon, featuring your latest creations and tagging your Instagram so others can follow your work. And that's not all, check out the stuff below 👇

• More Exposure for Your Shop

I get tons of messages from people asking where they can buy physical versions of our figures. It would be great if there were some shops that could sell our figures around the world... Oh wait! We have that!

Since we only produce the STLs, I thought it’d be great to connect those buyers with shops that sell our models. If you run a shop that sells our physical figures, I’ll be adding a section on our site to showcase your work and link to your website or Instagram. We’ll also list the countries you ship to, helping more people find your business and get the best figures ever!

"Ok, Devian, so how much is all this going to cost? Will there be a new tier?"

Your support means the world to us, and we want to make sure it continues to be worth it. All this new content will be included at no additional cost or tier changes.

In the future, I’m planning a new Diorama system that will likely require a different tier, but that’s a project for next year. I’ll keep you posted when everything is ready to go!
