Hello friends! Today I worked on more creatures from Tome of Beasts and made:

  • Ravenala - this is a palm tree treant that I really enjoyed working on! Given its nearly impossible to print as is, I made the body and palm fronds separate models so you can just insert them and glue them on later. I oriented the pieces for best printing for FDM and presupported for resin.

  • Ravenfolk Warrior & Scout - The ravenfolk are basically kenkus in appearance so the Warrior and Scout are just remixed older Kenku models. I did some modeling work on the weapons and such but it was very basic stuff in the end. For best results in FDM printing print them on their backs.

  • Ravenfolk Doom Croaker - this was a fun model to make! Also making a female Ravenfolk in a dancing pose was kind of neat. This is a tough one for FDM but you'd still get good results by printing her on her back with organic/tree supports. Resin users get the usual presupported file.

That's all for now! Tomorrow and for the rest of the month I'll just work on requests! Enjoy!

Very interesting treant. I really like the whole idea behind the sculpt.

Maybe we could get a version of the treant that was a bit more stylized and "chunky" so it's actually printable? It's ok to fill in the gaps with solid resin, keep the contour up, and let the paint do it's work to create depth and the illusion of separate wisps.

I split it up into pieces so it is printable. You print the body on its back and the leaves you print separately then insert them later. But I supply the Blender files for this reason. You're more than welcome to alter this file as you wish.
