Monster Manual 2025 - The Bone Naga! (Patreon)

Today I proudly present to you all the Bone Naga from the new MM! The basic shape of this creature was pretty similar to the original 2014 version so I was able to save some time having the old model as a base to work off of. It still required a lot of sculpting and modeling work but I'm happy with the end result!

Anything involving bones and skeletons is very VERY hard to print, both in FDM and Resin. For FDM I oriented the model for the easiest angle for printing with either organic or regular line supports. You won't catch some details sadly in FDM but it should look ok so long as you have a careful hand when you snip off the supports. For resin users, while the presupported file may look like a forest at first, if you carefully snip under the head bones and carefully snip from top to bottom you'll find its not as dense as you think. And given the "legs" are thicker than expected the support removal shouldn't be too difficult.

And in case this is a lot, and trust me it is, you can try printing the body and neck separately. I made two pieces for this model that should be a little easier to manage. You still need to be careful removing supports on the neck piece I made. For FDM folks you can use the orientation I supplied. Be sure to use a good super glue after inserting the neck into the body because the little square peg is too small to handle the weight on its own unlike larger models I've made.

Also included in this post is the Boar. This file didn't really need any updates from the original. The Giant Boar might need more fur details when I get to it but for a small creature like this it looks just fine.
