There's couple color thumbnails on this sketch page: "Liminal Spaces" (FA | e621) and "Endless Summer" (FA | e621). I seriously can't recommend these little color studies enough. I used to plunge into coloring and expected I'd sort of figure it out along the way. But some planning can really elevate a color scheme and give the finished picture some beautiful cohesion. Traditional or digital media -- doesn't matter.

Fuck, I never draw hoofers but udders are so fun...

At the very bottom I was imagining a scene where Juno and a seal friend go shopping in the clothing-optional part of town. Size difference between species is a HUGE love of mine, and I suppose I'm working on kind of a (inverse?) log-scale where small differences in the actual species get amplified in anthro form, with larger differences growing progressively subtler. These are not Zootopia rules, and ultimately it's just vibes-based.There's a few sketches of a porcupine girl (Brandy) just to figure her out a little better. And while the drawing of the kneeling porcupine is Brandy as well -- looking like she's about to gently offer to share a smoke with her -- I had someone else in mind. Someone who, at the time, I hadn't spoken with in years but have since reconnected. And I think there's a good chance that person will see it now and understand the spirit in which I offer that background. Thanks for being there when I needed it ^^ Oh yeah, and the belly nipples are showing if you look hard enough.

That goat gal is really cute! And so is the Juno in the upper right corner!

Kalahari

Oh yeah! That Juno was my Patreon welcome image for the longest time. It's in dire need of an update.

Your gist lady is really charming, I love just how much personality you give all of your characters 🙂

Kiko

Love seeing these as always

I think the favorite part is the little Juno in the upper right corner. I also love size difference, need more aquatic mammals.

Iron Tiger Design

I just love that you even have a porcupine that you draw with any frequency, such an underrated animal

draegwolf

Very much like the seal sketches on the bottom of the page here, don't see all that many of them even in this fandom

Kalahari

Not nearly enough, but I've seen a couple of beautifully designed seal characters. It's cool to see what works and what doesn't with odd anthro designs.

Kalahari

This is one that I want to come back to, maybe with some more experiments in hair and quill styling. I like the incorporation of actual hair a lot, even if the quill-only look can look pretty slick (like in Sing).

Kalahari

I plan to do some kind of shopping scene with that level of size difference. And even if it's not with the seal girl, she's going to show up again eventually!

Adleisio Cefnfor

I cannot wait to see the next scene or the seal again! I truly do love how you handle environments and settings with your works.

draegwolf

Same. I have one that I've artist draw with just legs and no tail and another that drew her with a more mermaid-esque physiology. Part of the appeal of seal characters is seeing how people try to reconcile how they should look from the waist down.

And the bear shaman giving us the smolder.... 🥵. The variety is really neat here, lots of experimentation and different species! Thank you for sharing about Brandy. Always down to share a bowl 💚. It's much more fun to smoke with others! 🍃😉

Kalahari

100% 💚 Even now, I still feel a strong pull to draw some of these species (bears and seals especially), but I gotta prioritize with every piece :P

It would be so awesome to see a follow up to "First day of Summer" and "Beach Market." Lots of promise.
