Juno notices us while browsing the local market... I know exactly what I'm getting myself into when I start on these crowded public scenes, but the process itself is enjoyable enough that I forget how long I'm lost in it. There's going to be way more background figures in the finished scene... And I'm really leaning into the analogous color palette with this one -- the marten piece didn't go far enough I think, but this is feeling way more like the city I imagine.

Looks really good so far! I still dig that blend of tribal style with modern fashion, with the toplessness and loincloth over jeans (the highrise in the back is nice, too ;) ).

You have such a way of crafting worlds I want to live in, and characters i want to meet. Juno is looking lovely~

Can’t wait to see the final render! This looks so nice!

Kiko

Very nice!

Citrakayah

The best time to shop for fabrics: When you're wearing very few of them.

Viridia

What do you mean by analogous color palette?

Admiral Storm

These are looking great! I can't wait to see it when it is completed

Analogous colors are colors that sit next to each other on the color wheel. So Blue, Violet, Red or Red, Orange, Yellow and etc. There is also Tertiary, Monochromatic, and Complimentary color schemes.

I love the outdoor atmosphere and just how easily you are able to put characters into an actual setting.

Bex

The background characters are my favorite, I enjoy spotting and seeing the variety of species you include 🙂

Xiscapia

I love how expressive all of your characters are!

Skyler

As cute as always, it's so nice seeing different aspects of her daily life.

LabFox

Absolutely! I think the last and probably only time we've seen this outfit on Juno was about a decade ago.

Kalahari

For as much as I think about her daily life, it's a huge shame I haven't drawn more of it. Time to fix that...

Kalahari

This is absolutely the most fun part of drawing public scenes... getting to design all kinds of new characters. And give cameos to old ones!

Kalahari

Adleisio nailed it. This is pretty much using a limited color palette with all hues sitting closely next to each other. Which can mean using some less intuitive colors. I really love this video as an instructional example of how these color choices work: https://youtu.be/0FjjJha7HMI?si=sphoBPMPZhYePlit

Kinda renders the changing room unnecessary as well, haha

Kalahari

I'm excited to share the finished pic. I think the next few projects I have planned are going to make Juno's little home feel much more real.

Kalahari

This kind of style blend (tribal and modern) gives me more joy to design than just about anything else. The loincloth/jeans pairing has to be a staple of that :)

Citrakayah

Yeah! So convenient.

Tygepc

Good to see her out and about. Very nice and promising work.
