Taking some rendering lessons from the earlier color sketch and trying a brighter color palette. Any relation to each other? It's not impossible. And maybe they'd make good hiking buddies.

I borrowed the visor look from my recent giant otter sketches, and I think a little hair balances it out nicely. This could come full circle and alter my giant otter design. Maybe she needs to be the subject of my next color sketch...

I'd like to strip naked and go hiking with this lovely lady.

Kiko

We love naked hiking!

Topless (at least!) hiking - totally up my alley. :D Great on a warm, sunny day - maybe not so much a slightly chilly one. Love the rendering you've been doing - really great color, and I'm forever a fan of how you handle volume and weight. Her hair being lightly blown in the wind is such a good touch, too.

I love the way you drew her hair. That can sometimes be tricky with otters but she looks quite nice with it ^_^

I think a more painterly rendering style has helped me with that volume stuff a lot. Oh yeah, and I bet she prefers a warm day for a nude hike. Even with the thick fur, a little sunlight improves the situation immensely :)

I've gone back and forth with hair on otters. Leaving it out makes sense since they want to be streamlined in the water. But when I add it in I always think they look way cuter >.>
