29 June 2026: BIG UPDATE. I changed the file structure and created new thumbnails so please DELETE ALL THE OLD COPIES OF ITALIA, BUYFOOD, AND YOUR LOCALTHUMBCACHE. To avoid loading issues, it's better to start your game by "load game" and load in build mode first before live mode.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

This HUGE update brings bug fixes, optimizations, added swatches, and brand new objects! Thanks so much for your patience. I can't list every little thing, so here are the main highlights:

New Objects

Citrus Tree — Functional house plant that you can harvest lemons from (custom tuning). BGC but may require Enchanted by Nature for full plant care interactions.

Wisteria Wedding Arch — Functional wedding arch. Also makes a perfect frame for the solo swing.

Rabbit Stump — Cottage Living rabbit home

Vaporetto Boat — Opens Travel map

Overgrown Fountain, Beach Sling Chair, Barrel, Bollard, Citrus Crate, Dock Post, Generic Car, Grape Vine, Lavender Pot, Palm Tree & more...

New Swatches

Added a few new swatches to beach bag, beach umbrellas, interactable mural, and more!

Fixes & Improvements

Food & Drink — EA made some fundamental changes to how food & drink work that have made it impossible for some of my mods to function the way they used to. There are different ways that sims can 'buy food' and in certain circumstances, the game will now create last exception error flags if a recipe is referenced that you don't own. So I've made significant changes to my BuyFood mod, which is a core requirement of several of my functional objects, and I had to make my food & drink purchase lists mostly base game only. I've also added shift-click cheat interactions to bypass the NPCs if needed. For a good experience, I've included the custom café drinks made for my Vieuxcrest world mod.

Restaurant — See above. Improved waiter NPCs so they should now spawn instantly when called.

Reusable water bottle — Can now be refilled at any sink. (I also resized the ITALIA outdoor sink to match the animation better.) The water bottle must be in sims' inventory, and the "Refill Water Bottle" interaction will be available when you click on a sink. Water helps fill sims' hidden thirst need and helps them cool down in hot weather.

Souvenir Stand — Changed the purchase list. Includes a randomized assortment of collectibles ( crystals, sugar skulls, etc) which will change periodically.

Cooler Bag — Fixed & updated available food & drinks. Also if placed on a picnic blanket, sims will kneel down to use it.

Picnic Blanket — Fixed & Improved the interactions and made more base-game compatible. Those who have Lovestruck will see two different "sit" interactions (because one is bgc)

Solo Swing — Seperated tuning to isolate solo swing interactions.

Beach Bag — Fixed and improved functions

Butterflies — I added a spawner for a somewhat rare catchable (Adventure Awaits) butterfly.

CORE PACK DETAILS

ITALIA is a custom cc 'game pack' that transforms Tartosa into a beautiful Italian-inspired destination! Tartosa is my favourite world in the game, but I feel like it never gets any love because everyone hates My Wedding Stories. I want to help you fall in love with the beauty of Tartosa! Don't worry if you don't have My Wedding Stories, there's plenty of base-game friendly items for you as well. There is A LOT of stuff in this pack (around 125 items), so I'll only highlight some of the noteworthy things included.

CORE FEATURES

Tartosa world override with new world tuning, lighting, buildings, trees, streetlights, functional objects, marketstalls, and decor.

New food & drinks (gelato, pasta, pizza, wine, and coffee!)

NEW FUNCTIONAL OBJECTS (custom tuning)

Souvenir Stand | Purchase from a curated selection of art & objects. Includes items that are difficult to obtain in-game, as well as cc from two of my favourite creators bbygyal 123 and Pierisim. CC items will only show up in the shop if you already have the files in your Mods folder, so please check out their work if you haven't already! Sims can also purchase wearable souvenir t-shirts and baseball caps.

Gelato Stand | Purchase gelato, ice cream, and drinks.

Beach Stand | Purchase beach stuff, drinks, snacks, and souvenirs.

Coffee Stand | Purchase coffee and snacks

Picnic Blanket | Sit, eat, gaze at the sky, and even bathe in the moonlight. *DLC interactions require their respective packs (Lovestruck, Life & Death)

Beach Bathroom | Using this outdoor bathroom costs 1§ and restores hygiene & bladder without the uncomfy public bathroom buffs.

Beach Bag | Works like a dresser to change outfit on-the-go.

Cooler Bag | Stock with drinks & snacks. Functions like a picnic basket on blankets and picnic tables. Helps keep food fresh and fixes the picnic basket inventory to store up to 99 food and drink items.

Stovetop Moka Pot | Brew a quick pot of espresso from the countertop or stovetop.

Park Fountain | Toss a coin in the fountain and have a seat. The XL version also spawns butterflies.

Drinking Fountain | Wash hands or grab a drink of water with the infinitely refillable water bottle.

Nectar Bottle | Pour a glass of nectar. Includes 7 new nectar drinks and new custom buffs.

Classic Pool Float | Please download my mod Better Pool Floats for the best experience.

Restaurant | Call a waiter to serve a curated menu of food & drinks. Sims in a rush can also order to-go (without a waiter).

Nectar: Vigna Bianco, Sparkling Luminoso Bianco, Sparkling Luminoso Rosé, Rosa D'Amorosa, Amanti del Rosso, The Devil's Nectar, Bianco Spritz

Gelato: Pistachio, Pesca, Fragola, Bacio, Fior di Latte, Vanille, Caffè, Limoncello

Pasta: Carbonara, Spicy Carbonara, Spaghetti Alle Vongole, Cacio e Pepe, Spaghetti Marinara, Shrimp Spaghetti Marinara, Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

Snacks: Marghertita Pizza, White Funghi Pizza, Fruit & Cheese Charcuterie Board

Cooler Drinks: Bottled Water, Aranciata Soda, Limonata Soda, Mojito Soda, Barbet Light Wave, Barbet Wild Card, Barbet Love Bite, Barbet Deep Dive

Espresso: Caffe Latte, Cappuccino, Italian Hot Chocolate, Mocha, Macchiato, AmericanoEXTRA INFO

Objects can be found around Tartosa and in build mode by searching "ITALIA".

Custom text for custom interactions is only in English. You are welcome to translate to other languages.

Though technically it's not required, I recommend you keep all my custom recipes if you use any of my food related objects (cooler bag, food stands, moka pot etc). Otherwise you'll see pointless Last Exception errors and blank spaces in recipe lists.

There's over ~110 custom build/buy/food items items in this pack, many of which have custom tuned interactions and buffs. A LOT of hard work and love went into making this pack.

Hi, this is preventing any lots from loading for me. I got the last exception you said I would get, which is fine. But just wanted to make you aware that since installing this none of my households will load. Even empty lots won't. As I entered load mode, and then a lot to load up into build like you suggested. But it didn't load up. Of course it could be another mod I have, so I will need to investigate, but as far as I'm aware I have everything else up to date. It is also saying 2 of the tuning files are bad on the last exception.

hey, I'm not sure if this is a conflict with another mod or something like that but I'm getting exceptions because of the Lijoue_BuyFood_BG file saying "[cjiang] Error occurred within the tag named 'final_product' (value: U) (UnavailablePackSafeResourceError)". BE says that both that file and the water fountain have invalid tuning for some reason

Hi, just wanted to let you know that the foods have issues when appearing in the restaurant menu. The wines are priced at 0, the coffees are duplicated and the olives have no image, just a red X.

Hey Lijoue, first of all, thank you so much for your work! ♥ Do I need to completely delete the old files and then just copy the new ones in? I tried doing it that way, but nothing shows up—it doesn't seem to be active in the game.

Hey! :) As I also edit my own worldfiles I was intrigued what you did to yours and I saw some things you may want to correct in the Coastal world files: There are CC items placed in the ObjectList (World Data/World Object Data), which are not in the ITALIA Mods folder. Namely things with the TGIs of D75CEA876DFA6A1C (Coastal/World Object Data), 0000000001481C01 (Coastal/World Data) and 0000000001481C02 (Coastal/World Data). I assume those are items by Persim or bbygyal 123. But as you wrote that those are items one can get from the souvenier store through gameplay, I am not really sure if something is just missing or not. Maybe link to the actual items you use from those creators, so people can easily get them. Also there are items in some Object Lists of this world with TGIs 0000000000000000 (Coastal/Word Object Data); so unidentified. The game will not generate anything on those coordinates. As you put coordinates at those items and unique ObjectIDs I guess S4S didn't save the TGIs when you worked on those. You may want to correct those. And sorry if this sounds offending. I don't mean to. I just want to help out one of those very few world builders out there :) Thank you for your beautiful world!

Absolutely adore this mod, you can really tell you put your all into it. Just a quick question as I'm unsure whether it's an issue with the mod that you might be aware of, and if not I will remove my mods and check that way, but whenever I try to buy something from the beach stand, the display box is just a small circle in the center of my screen that never goes away, but I then can't load anything else up that makes the same type of menu (ordering from a stall, etc). I have to exit without saving and reload for it to disappear. Also, the menu to buy from the souvenir stand loads the menu, but it says the funds are 999,999,999, and I can't click the bottom tick to actually buy anything, as the menu is off-center and I can only exit out of it. Any help would be wonderful, and to check if this is related my side (most likely), but i've had it every time i've downloaded the mod. Thank you for all of your hard work x
