I have stated the work over the male version of Arkveld, right now I have just done a part of the chest because I wanted to do something different.

Aarkveld has a full, hard body, like stone, and I like the idea of bringing this approach to the armor. So I decided to do a hard surface technique for the animations.

As you can see in the video, the armor no longer distorts with the animations, it moves in a hard plate effect. As a result, when doing some big moves, the armor opens gaps between the plates.

This is achieved via making the weight painting solid instead of soft, and what is the weight painting?

This is how the weight painting looks for the spine: black means that the spine will not affect that part, red means it will fully affect that part. For a hard surface, we remove the gradient like this:

For the same bone, the spine. So as a result, the armor moves as solid blocks like in the video. And so, disturbing to accommodate the animations will not happen, and the pieces of the armor will always be solid. Why does capcom not use it? They do, but in a limited fashion because doing this took a LOT of time, so they do it in big parts, like haggling swords, the shields from the Arkveld armor, etc.
