Initially planned as a quick hotfix regarding some of the persisting ReShade issues that still haunt a Richard Burns Rally installation, this now expanded to a full fletched EVO update.

This one will solve a lot of ReShade related issues and provide feedback how to fix them, if anything goes wrong or is missing.

The installation process now supports DirectX9 and Vulkan installation and automates the entire installation process, along some additional useful ReShade tools, like an on/off switch, preset switcher, etc. It even kinda works now alongside the RBR VR plugin, allthough there are still some lingering issues left that are still being worked on, with possible solutions rolled out with future updates.

A Full Changelog v0.5 can also be found in the Service Park Launcher, when hovering over the version number at the top.

DOWNLOAD Update v0.5

To update: Download and extract to merge its Maps folder with your existing one in your RBR root folder.
I recommend (re)installing the Reshade component through the ONE-CLICK INSTALLER

New to EVO: download and install the full mod from here.

I urge VR users to try to install ReShade as a Vulkan+OpenXR SetUp. It will probably not work as intended, at least not initially but there is proof now with the current Service Park installation process that reshade works alongside the VR plugin! We just need to find out where the issues are that are preventing a streamlined and dependable installation, without additional tweaking and error fixing. The same might be true for a 2D Vulkan installation: it works as intended on my end but not on all ends: The new POV Headlights turn the image black, they use a shader that is not compatible with a Vulkan installation (The POV HighBeams work though) Please try it, please report back: Either direct message me here on Patreon or over on discord (@donpedro1921)

This patch maxes out my GPU at 99% without the lights or DOF, the last few while buggy didn’t. I can’t even have reshade on now.

You can switch to the old preset: - go to the Service Park settings. Find the "switch preset" button and select "TV_0.3". Thats the old preset. Let meknow if this fixes the problem or if there are deeper rooted issues with the current "ReShade with add-on support" at work. You can also try reinstalling reshade with this archived version 6.5 version https://www.patreon.com/posts/151172743?collection=1533016 and see if this helps. Please report back if it does.

Yes, but you would have to go manually to your Audio.ini inside your RBR root. Find the lines "Horn" and "Bird" and change their values to something significantly lower. Try a value of 0.8 for both of them and then work your way down until you find values that work for you. (A value of 0.0 will mute them completely)

"Hi, I recently installed RBR EVO v0.5 (Patreon version) on top of my RallySimFans installation. After installing, I get a "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library - Runtime Error - abnormal program termination" error when trying to load any stage. The game launches fine but crashes during stage loading. I used the EVO Service Park Launcher ONE-CLICK installer. My RBR is installed at C:\Richard Burns Rally. Any help would be appreciated!"

I forgot to reply to this before, even a full reinstall didn’t change anything, so I will report back tonight in the newer thread about the current update!
