Road to update v0.7 revisited (Patreon)

So with all new stages now having received their well deserved weather and particle updates (see v0.6.10) we are creeping closer to a big v0.7 release. The planned surface audio feature is already in place. It just needs some audio files to work with.

In this regard, an opportunity arose, which leads me to Croatia this week to record the coveted gravel and tarmac surface sounds. Since I decided to add a whole road trip along the coast I will be off for a week but will return with the necessary audio files.

I have a reasonably professional microphone, I have the car for it, I have closed off roads but, RBR being good old RBR, is going to limit the efforts due to its old sound fx architecture. But I squeezed some believable sounds out of the system in the past already. So I'm confident.

And yes, we are dabbling in some dark magic for update v0.7:

Regarding a time table for v0.7, I'd say end of October. As you can see in the video above we opened a whole new can of worms that needs sorting out. I'll keep you updated.
