currently rewatching all the harry potter movies and normal people! i’ve been at universal (mostly harry potter world) in orlando this week and all i can think about is the hales! i’m actually currently at the marvel character dinner at islands of adventure and i know they would be loving this!!

Currently reading this romance book I found at the library called ‘by the book’ by Jasmine Guillory about a black woman’s experience working in the publishing industry and she has to help one of their clients whose known for his rudeness and fighting to write his memoir, so far it’s okay but wish it was in first person!

I’m trying to read a lot, but I recently watched the live action Little Mermaid (thought of Sulli while watching) and I absolutely loved it. I thought it was a really well done remake. Otherwise I watched one episode of Buffy (comfort show) recently and mainly YouTube.

Doing a reread of the series for the book club (we’re on SLU if anyone wants to join!!) but I just finished rereading Necessary Evils by Onley James and I’m going to start To Catch a Firelfy by Emmy Sanders later cause I’ve hear fantastic things about it and I wanna join the club! Also, randomly jumping back into the Black Dagger Brotherhood world by JR Ward which is a fantastic vampires-in-the-real-world series!! Currently bingeing FBI, just finished Quantum Leap (the new one) and just watched Taylor Swift’s concert!

I was actually hoping that you would ask this question because I’ve been looking for some recommendations! Here’s what I’ve been watching/reading: Books I’m currently reading: - You Should Be So Lucky by Cat Sebastian: this book is an m/m romance between a baseball player and reporter in 1960s NYC. I received it as an ARC and I am so excited to read it! I’ve almost read Cat Sebastian’s entire catalogue so I was thrilled to be selected to get this one early. She is one of the best writers of queer historical romance. -An Island Princess Starts a Scandal by Adriana Herrera: this is an f/f historical romance set in Paris. So beautifully written and great character development. -A Prince in Disguise by Tavia Lark: this is an m/m fantasy romance that’s part of a series that follows a royal family. This is my current Kindle Unlimited read -A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J. Maas: I’ve been reading this one forever! I will finish it. It’s pretty good, but I think a bit slow in part 1, so I had a hard time getting into it at first. The plot is really picking up in Part 2 TV Shows: -Fellow Travelers on Showtime: this stars Matt Bomer and Bridgerton’s Jonathan Bailey. It’s a gay historical romance that follows the couple through multiple decades, but most of the series takes place during the Lavender Scare in DC. The McCarthy hearings were prominently featured. This was an excellent show. -Girls5Eva on Netflix: I just started this show. It’s hilarious! Sara Bareilles is the lead and she is really good! This is hilarious. I’ve LOLed a lot while watching it. Perfect for 90s nostalgia. Movies: -Damsel on Netflix: this was a lot better than I thought it would be. I started it thinking I would casually look through social media while having it on in the background & couldn’t look away. -Irish Wish on Netflix: I am a sucker for holiday appropriate RomComs!

Right now for tv shows I’m actively watching: -gilmore girls (first time ever) - phineas and ferb (rewatch) - broklyn 99 (i caugup to where i had already watched and now i’m watching the new episodes I hadn’t seen) -love it blind (the new season) -are you the one (trying to catch up to where i was) For movies: - One Love (the bob merley movie, 9/10 recomend, tho i wish i had subtitles in the movies cuz i understood about 3/4 of what they said) - oppenheimer (always a banger for me) And finally books: - glint (book 2 in plated prisoner series) - persuasion by jane austen (this one will take me a long time to finish due to the old time-wimey english 😂

Hello girlies! March is a busy month! I hope that you guys are still taking the time to celebrate your milestones of moving as well with ur upcoming birthday festivities (29th of March right? or am I hallucinating?) 🦄. And guess what? I am also moving during Aries season! 🔥 We are synced 😝 In terms of media i have been consuming… I am watching the Bad batch (debuts on Wednesdays) love each episode and am really happy that we’re back to more adult animated content and less the kids show episodic stuff we got in Season 2. I also just finished the Morning Show on Apple+… and it was okay! Low key it gave be a bit of anxiety, maybe because a lot of the topics that they’re deliberating are very relevant to the cultural zeitgeist of topics we face today. 😅 So it isn’t a show that relaxes me or provides escapism… it just adds. But i think its discussing and musing on important topics and they’re saying something which is worth watching and viewing. 😇 And I always love when there is LGBTQ+ representation in the protagonists so there’s that! IDK if i necessarily recommend it… but it’s good and deserves the acclaims for sure! I’m watching Masters of the Air currently and that show i do not recommend. 🤨 I did it because it gave me Captain America and Bucky aesthetics meets Top Gun and Green Lantern… but it just falls flat. I hate to say this but i’m getting kind of sick of all the same Hollywood faces being on my screen…. RHOM and RHOB just finished which i was watching! Miami is ON FIRE 😛. Best Real Housewives show right now! Beverly Hills is weighed down by Kylie a lot. Her constant victimhood, deflection and invisible hand ways gets to me. And it’s like, I get it, you’re going through problems in your marriage that you don’t want to air and you’re thinking about your kids… But were you thinking about your kids when you decided to do a on screen romance video with Morgan Wade?! 😩😫 Were you thinking about how that will affect your kids then? 😒 Or did you think about how blowing up Denise and her husband’s marriage is when you demanded answers on whether they had a threesome with Brandy? It’s giving throws the stone but lives in a glass house. I despise that behaviour if i’m honest🥸. Vanderpump rules… because it’s vanderpump rules! Scheena is starting to kind of get on my nerves… 🤯 And i hate to say this about my fellow women… but Katie i might have to agree with Katie… she is a bit of a Male Sympathiser/Pick me with men! :( Like stick up for your girl Arianna! At the time when this was filming they were only two months from the Scandaval reunion… I can’t believe she’s jumping ship so quickly! Girls first as Luna would always say. But crowned jewel of reality shows goes to The Traitors Season 2. Did you guys finish?! We must chat! 😱 Also watching The Challenge thanks to you guys! And Julia on in the community! Season 4 I just started! And I will momentarily start as well Survivor Season 4 after I finished Challenge Season 4 bc you guys reccomended Survivor 4: Marquesas as a jumping in point for Survivor! Can’t wait for that too! 🤓 My birthday is on Sunday (March 24th) as well i turn 26! :O, and I will be watching Oppenhimer for the first time with friends! I can’t wait! I wonder what all the Hales and Cobalts and Meadows would think this movie… 😎 In terms of books, I have been living in a fevered coma right now fantasy wise bc of Realm of the Elderlings series. Two days ago I started Malazan Book of the Fallen which is the most like, Opus Magnus beast of all beasts fantasy series. Its a mystery, military high epic fantasy series that i had to join a discord server with a bunch of fans for bc i felt extremely intimated! It’s considered to be the most ‘high brow’ ‘beast of beasts’, most complicated and intellectually intimidating series ever. It’s every desive, because the way it’s written is unlike Brandon Sanderson, where he writes fantasy series in an ‘everyman’ way, where everyone can enjoy it and he writes plainly, unlyrically and holds your hand. Malazan doesn’t. It’s considered the endgame series. Once you’ve read it, all other fantasy series allegedly will always pale into comparison. And it tests apparently your tolerance, because you will only truly know what is going on, by book 2-3. Famous booktuber Daniel Greene did a very compelling non-spoiler explanation of the Myth of Malazan i highly recommend watching for context! In the meantime, I’ll keep you posted on my journey :)). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_c2OCjRH25w AND can’t forget i’m also reading per usual KBR book 🤩. Finally sat down, and was like, “Laura you can do this!” And opened the first book for Kitsulleti, because I plan until this summer to read through Kitsulleti all the way towards Nobody Like Us, one chapter a night. I feel less anxious and more at peace that the Like Us Series is at a close, and am embracing it, rather than putting it off 🥳. I also got UNLUCKY LIKE US SIGNED FROM THE STORE YESTERDAY! Thank you guys so much! I am keeping my eyes peeled for when Nobody Like Us drops in the KBR store 😍. One final mention is that I wanted to follow up and thank you guys for the recommended TV recs! I have been saving money for a new TV (sounds so first world problem) and think I will also go for the Sony. My parents recently got a Sony and had a samsung before, and totally agree how the layout is better. I just have to decide on the size! If you have any size recommendations do let me know! And if you have any words of wisdom for the size of where it should go- in the bedroom or living space? 😇 I anticipate you are super busy and won’t get to this blog post (or the previous backlog i’ve created! Opps 😋, i am forever the enthusiast haha) for a while because you are busy with moves, birthday planning, and wedding planning! Atlanta has never seemed busier in my eyes! Hahah. I have a small obsession with 9-1-1 so I highly recommend it, but I actually love 9-1-1 Lone Star about 10x more bc I just have a soft spot for almost every single character in that one. The last season of The Amazing Race was probably my fav season of all-time, so I highly recommend that one!! I loveeeee that you're a Survivor fan. Are you excited for The Challenge 40? I heard who's on the cast (without looking at any other spoilers) and I'm PUMPED!! I think they're filming right now.

We forgot how stressful and chaotic moves are, and we hope yours goes super smoothly in this wonderful season of the ram. I haven't seen beyond Season 1 of Morning Show, but I know what you mean about it giving some anxiety. I feel like that's how being in the broadcast world is, in general. Everyone is on like a level 10 and high-strung 😂 (at least this was my experience in college where I did "mock" broadcasting things - mainly just camerawork since I was a Telecom student and not Broadcast, but they always asked for Telecom majors to help them out. The professors would YELL at the top of their lungs and said "this is how it is in the real world; get used to it".) That's a bummer about Masters of the Air! I was looking forward to that one! I haven't seen any reviews yet, but I can see how it might not have landed. Potomac (my fav ever) has quickly fallen, so I might need to give Miami a shot! Ahhhh I love that you started watching the Challenge!! We both finished Traitors Season 2, and i loved the ending bc of my Challenge favs pulling through. I always love a TV in the living space first. Unless you're in a communal situation where you have roommates, then the TV in the bedroom is prob better bc you'll likely use it more often. I think whatever wall you use will likely determine the size. I'm not a proponent of "bigger is better" unless the space calls for it. And OLED vs. QLED -- I really can't tell the difference. Oo! I will make sure to check out both 9-1-1 & 9-1-1 Lone Star then! I’ll also be sure to start with the last season of The Amazing Race once I begin watching the show! :) I am excited for The Challenge 40! I am 𝗼𝗯𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 with the cast (🤩)! It’s already looking soo much better than 39. I’m glad that they went with this cast, these names were needed after the atrocity that was season 39 (😮‍💨).
