The award's season is among us, and what better way to celebrate the completion of the Like Us series than with the 3rd Fizzies Award Show!! We hand out awards to characters and to certain books, and you all suggested so many amazing categories. Including "the character who is the best best friend" and "the most intimidating character" and so on and so forth! It was an absolute blast walking down memory lane while doling out awards, and we hope you love this one as much as we loved recording it!! I 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 listening to this episode! The Fizzies are my favorite award show to tune into (😉)! I enjoyed getting to rehash some of the moments that happened throughout the series! It’s such a bittersweet thing now that the series is finished, but I will always have soo much love for these books (and there’s still more to come in this world 🥹🤎)! I know that some of the awards wouldn’t be that fun to receive if you were the one receiving them, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 I choose to view it as the characters receiving compensation for their troubles & their hard times. This might be the equivalent of those “I visited [insert place here] and all I got was this shirt” meme shirts for the characters, though, so maybe my mentality is all wrong lol (😅😭)? (For the record I personally believe that these trophies are much better than those t-shirts, though! 😉) I also wanted to send some love Akara + Sulli + Banks’ way (🤎)! They’re one of my 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 couples in the series (they’re right behind Marrow in my heart, I adored their books), so it is super sad to see them not get as much love as some of the other characters / couples (☹️). I do try to send them extra love in my brain, though, so hopefully they’re receiving those waves wherever they may be in the universe! ~~

I loved this podcast aw!! Audrey being the one to write a dramatic, embellished tell all and everyone loving it is SO perfect. Thank you sm for answering my questions! I asked that one about if there is an enigmatic character that’s mysterious to you as authors, I’m soo curious whose name was floating around before BUT I love that you gave it to yourselves, it’s very deserved methinks 💖. It’s always so interesting to see how authors create and connect with their characters. Also, justice for Sulli and Banks bc I adore them (and Akara too, but they get less love and it makes me sad). The bonus scene of Banks and Sulli meeting when he’s working on Jane’s beetle is one of my all time faves <333 The question about memorable character moment was sooo good and I’m glad that Leo scene in NLU was picked, he was an icon, legend and the moment for me right there 😭. I love these Fizzies podcasts. Good awards or bad awards, it’s all part of the journey. The recaps just highlight the beauty of the characters and world you’ve created - it’s expansive and immersive and it really feels like the characters are living on, even after their books end.

I feel like Luna and Lo or Luna and Lily should've won the parent/child award 😭 Moffy is a really good pick but how are we defining best? Is it best development or best team mates? If its best team mates I'd pick moffy and Lo too but if its best development I'd pick Luna and Lily and or Lo I feel like Luna and Lily and Lo have had more development then Moffy and Lo 😭

I was the one who asked about the memorable side character moment, and although I originally suggested that Jesse moment, I agree that Leo’s first appearance in NLU is definitely the winner! 🤩 And justice for Banks, underrated king! 💙

I’m so sorry guys, but best platonic relationship growth has to go to Lo and Donnelly. I could cry just thinking about them & the amount of work and effort it took to get to fruit baskets and Hale Family Dinners™️ 💕💕💕 (unless we are counting them as a familial relationship)

I definitely agree that Farrow is the character I most wish existed in real life. He’s so unique & cool in a way that does not give off popular kid vibes. He kind of reminds me of Shane from The L Word in coolness (but Shane is a player so obviously very different otherwise)

For ambitious I was thinking Tom, Beckett, Jack. or Akara… all of them are doing their thing to be successful and often guided by ambition for their passions which is a bonus and better than ambition for ambition’s sake IMO

Also how is Marrow not the steamiest!!! Lowkey now that I think about it it makes sense for it to be Lunelly but I feel like Marrow is a close second with all the tension. I could be wrong and it could be bc they had the most steamy scenes

I feel like Farrow would just be focused on Moffy the whole time since he isn’t really open with new people. Luna and donelley are too much but since it’s a double date and I’ll have a date too I think it would just make it funnier.

Probably, the other one in my head is ryke cause he can’t say no to his girls but I think he’s gotten better about that (especially with winona and the trouble she gets into) but connor is lenient cause he trusts that he can fix anything that happens (whether he’s right or wrong about that, we’ll probably find out in the cobalt empire series)
