Happy Friday, magical & heroic beauties!! Next week is about to jam packed with bonuses and podcasts, so we hope you're ready. We're trying to get into a better rhythm these days in terms of writing/promo/personal life stuff, but we've been mostly playing catch up since turning in Book 2. All the things we've neglected while in our writing hole have taken up most of our time. So we're super excited to find balance and a new schedule/tempo in the next few weeks.

We're going on tour for Dishonestly Yours! And as the links are coming in for the tour stops, we're announcing them here. So if you're anywhere near the Atlanta, GA area--come stop by Eagle Eye Book Shop on July 8th! The cool thing about Eagle Eye is you can preorder ANY of our books and they'll be ready for you to pick up at the store, and these books don't count toward your 5 book limit.

We're also going to be in Dallas, Texas this summer! If you're near the area, stop by Interabang Books 💗 ALSO since we no longer do personalizations on our online store, this tour is SUPER special because we'll be personalizing ALL books.

ICYMI: IMPORTANT NEWS

Once we sell out of our current inventory, we will be transitioning the store from signed books to signed bookplates.

What does that mean? The signatures won't be inside the book but your book will automatically come with a bookplate with both of our signatures.

Why the change? We no longer live together, so it's more difficult to carve out time away from writing to drive up to sign books. Bookplates are our solution, since we can ship them to each other.

If you REALLY need to finish your collection with signed books, NOW is the time to order them. Once a book sells out, the next time it's for sale on the store it will be signed via bookplate. (There will be an indicator when you're ordering a book signed via bookplate. As of right now, all signatures are inside the book.)

It’s hard to pick the thing I’m most excited about, but what’s coming to mind right now is Ben’s day-to-day life as a transfer student (and New York City resident)! Seeing him start fresh at a new college in a new city sounds really intriguing right now! 🦋 Also maybe his feelings on his friendship with Winona? Thinking about that friendship breakup makes me sad but I must know more ASAP 💔 And before I forget - hockey! 🏒 I want to know how good he actually is, what position he plays, if that’s something he’s genuinely passionate about but just downplays it, whether his 2 concussions so far make playing hockey a bit risky, etc .

What am I not excited about?! Hahahah I need to know everything. - Explore his relationship with his siblings and parents. - His LOVE INTEREST though I'm pretty sure is Harriet (which I would love) - Just how he sees himself and how his internal voice sounds. I'm so intrigued by him. I could come up with a thousand questions more. I always thought Charlie was the mor mysterious but right now I feel like Ben (and Tom) are the ones I know the least about and I can't wait to find out. Also can't wait for Cobalt banter. I love it. I don't know if you can tell but I'm way too excited about his book.

I think Ben is one of THE most mysterious characters in the Like Us Series so I can't even pinpoint one thing! I think I'm most excited to see what his narrative voice sounds like? I'm super into the differences in how different characters voices sound~ 😍✨️👏🏻

I can’t wait to learn about Ben! So far, we havent been in a POV of anyone who was really close with him to see him in depth. I’d say that the bonus in Ryke’s POV of the fire that Ben is in could be the closest we’ve come to seeing Ben on that level, which is funny when you think abt it because Ben is also the character who wears his heart on his sleeve!! I love Ben and I’m so excited to learn about him 🎉🥳😄

I have an unrelated question. lunnely are my favorite couple of the series. I was wondering why they only have one child. Donnelly grew up as an only child and seems to appreciate Farrow as a brother and Luna seemed elated when Moffy told her that they’re planning on having four (same as him and their siblings). I know their kids would lots of cousins but that’s not the same as siblings. I kind of wish for a fourth book about them and for maybe for them to debate having more (kind of like lily and lo)

This is super hard to narrow down! I am so excited for the Cobalt Empire. Also, the things I’m most excited about change all the time. I think right now: -Seeing the Cobalt family dynamics from Ben’s POV. He sounds like such an interesting character, I know he will bring more depth to his family -More of Harriet’s background and story. Regardless of whether she is the FMC or a side character, the girl really stole my heart in the Lunnelly books. I’m a little embarrassed to admit it since her part was so small! I just find her fascinating. I’m feeling this way about Frog at the moment too (we just met her character for the first time in the Like Us Book Club re-read) -just being in the HMC universe again!

THIS IS SUCH A HARD QUESTION!! I'm really excited to know who he is inside to meet the tornado because as luna said he's like an iceburg theres so much inside of him he doesnt show and I need to know the real ben and be in his head but also cobalt family dynamics and cobalts in general from his POV would be fascinating I hope you guys fall into rhythm easily and it doesnt feel too clunky! A balance is soo important and I'm sending all the good luck wishes your way to find it easily!!! That sounded kinda dumb but I tried 🤣 I've said it already a bunch of times but I am just going to genuinely pass out when I meet you guys!! 🫠🫠 small question because the event is at the ripped bodice do we still get the prints that came with the preorder campaign? all good if we dont!! And are all the events at a 5 book limit? Also also alsoooo I could scream MORE PEOPLE LIKE USSS LETS GOOOOO

I think we know that Ben views himself sticking out amongst the cobalt siblings. He feels he’s different. A bird in a lions den. I really really want to learn how he views his siblings. Is it resentment, is there jealousy, does he recognize his love for his family? I don’t think he’s majorly in awe with anyone although I feel that there could be something close to that in his relationship with Charlie. Does he feel he has to meet up with cobalt standards or does he feel he has an obligation to the withering world to safe it with cobalt powers? Or is he just trying to stay afloat in that respect? Does he know he needs his siblings in this world? And why why why do we feel he is such a loner like Connor was as a student, when Ben seems to have the ability to not only collect people (like Connor) but really connect to them. It feels like he doesn’t do that. And OMC I sooo want to see him connect to someone and share their (my perceived but maybe i’m completely wrong and that’s okay) misery to keep afloat in this world. Resumé, i just need Ben to be who he is in this world and see it from his very special pov to learn all about him. Although I know it will just ache so much 😭😅🥹

Me too Lauren! Kbr have such an amazing ability to set characters out like that. I really hear a different voice because of the language that kbr use in different POVs. This could also be enhanced because I’m not native English and thus am very much influenced in my own English language use by who I talk to or who’s pov I’m reading.

I suspect Ben is so much more like Connor than everyone gives him credit for. He's well known, respected, and loved by everyone and he knows what's going on with everyone on campus. Yet somehow no one knows a single thing about Ben... He makes connections, building a network. But it's not with the intent to actually use people like Connor, he genuinely cares about everyone. Also excited to see his relationship with Ryke, hopefully that makes it in the books!

Does he enjoy hockey ,would he want to play professionally or would he want to have a career dealing with the environment etc. Edit: I saw someone in the comments mention this aswell i want to know about Harriet aswell, LI or not I hope we get to see how Ben sees her ( especially after what she told him happened at college in Philadelphia with the professor and her own POV eventually to see how she sees him and her family 😄 Also, I have a question ladies how big of a age agap for romantic relationships are you ladies willing to go when it comes to your books?

Very exited about Ben’s dynamic with his family and what he thinks of each of them. One scene I think about is the mlb x fizzle bonus scene of nobody when Eliot said “my little brother Ben” because I’m sure Ben didn’t think he would be picked 🥲. Also when will the next nobody restock be in the signed book store?

Hmm we really don't know for the age-gap what we're willing/not willing. We usually like to never say "never" toward some things bc we could always find inspiration later and as we get older. So we don't really have a good answer! It could be bigger of an age gap than we've ever written if they're both older at the start, too.
