Welcome to the newest Fizz Hangout! Every Friday, you all can stop by the weekly Fizz Hangout post and ask questions (to us or to your fellow patrons), discuss recent bonus scenes and/or podcasts with each other, and catch up on all the goodies you might've missed!

Happy Friday, magical & heroic beauties!! We're in the home stretch of our edits, which means we're working hard to get this done on time. Destructively Mine is turning out to be something really special, and we're soooo in love with where we've taken the book. Now we're just trying to piece it all together. We talked more about the process over on the Extra Podcast: Dishonestly Yours Book Tour Recap + Destructively Mine Teases. It was a super fun one that you don't want to miss! And it's spoiler-free if you haven't read Dishonestly Yours yet.

In event news, we'll be heading to Knoxville, TN on June 21st, 2025 for A Meet & Greet Cute event hosted by Bookish Besties and Co! You can get tickets here. And we have one more event in Fall 2025 that we'll be attending but it has not been announced yet. These three events are likely the only big multi-author events we'll be attending next year.

This is a start of a new month so there's going to be lots of new content dropping on Patreon. We're excited to keep adding to the People Like Us timeline! The poll for the Monthly Podcast is coming tomorrow, so keep on the lookout.

📍CHARACTER NOTES:

We'll have another restock of Nobody Like Us where you can request character notes in the book. All other books only include character note bookplate add-ons.

📍SIGNED BOOKPLATES:

Once we sell out of our current inventory, we will be transitioning the store from signed books to signed bookplates. There will be a note on the book's product page if it will include a signed bookplate instead of signatures inside the book.

If you REALLY need to finish your collection with signed books, NOW is the time to order them. Once a book sells out, the next time it's for sale on the store it will be signed via bookplate.

I love the scene where Lily throws the alcohol bottle at Scott Van Wright to protect Lo. I was so so proud of her in that moment! Also getting to watch her be an incredible Mom towards the end of the series and during Like Us healed a lot of parts of me 🤍

Favorite Lily moment 🤔 anything when she’s with her kids, especially when she’s a new mom worrying about Moffy and then later in LU with all of the Hale kids and her showing love and support… I’ll always love when she gives the photo to Farrow in LLU and how then from that point going forward, she’s Team Marrow 🥹 but there are so many that make me laugh - like her SOS to Lo when they TPd the house or whenever she confidently nods when she’s feeling herself for whatever thought she had 🥰

Her and Luna are two of my most favorite fmc’s and their characters resonated so deeply with me and I’m so grateful they exist !! 🥺 One scene with Lily that sticks out to me is in SKOP at Disney World when Lily and Xander are sharing the cheese puffs !! 🥺🩷 Hehe, I’m **so** Destructively Mine !! Have you guys seen Maxton Hall? Cause the person who plays James most closely resembles the Charlie I’ve always seen in my head… and the clothes and attitude just add to what I’ve always imagined (as well as the way he falls in love with her 🥹)… plus the actor speaks like 5 languages, two of which are German (he was born in Germany) and French so that just adds to the Charlie-ness 😍

Hello ladies, something authors have been doing recently is put the parents POVs (for a chapter only) in their kids books. Is that something you would ever consider doing whether it's in the CE series, CIF series, Maria's book etc. Specifically this question is for the kids whose parents don't have books.

Happy Wednesday (ikik I’m late), you guys! 🎉 I hope you all are having a fantastic time during the book tour. It must feel so new and shiny to be putting out a new series/universe and being on the book one tour of it all. Does it feel more like the tour for "Addicted to You" or "Damaged Like Us" in terms of importance? I’d love to know! RE HANGOUT QUESTION: I’ve just started reading the first three pages of "Dishonestly Yours". As I mentioned in the last blog post, I got it Thursday at my local Waterstones in Piccadilly, London, and I was so excited to pick up a novel of yours. The first few pages are so deliciously good! There's something diametrically opposite between the Addicted world and the Webs We Weave world. Granted, I’ve only read the first three pages, but the vibe I’m getting is fascinating. The characters in Webs We Weave seem well-versed in wealth but aren’t "the wealth", if that makes sense. It’s a different angle from the Damaged Like Us and Addicted world, where characters are wealthy but quietly trying not to be embroiled in the trappings of wealth. Almost trying to get away from it? I can’t wait for the latest podcast where you discuss "Dishonestly Yours". Hopefully, it’s not too spoilery because I’ll have to wait to listen if it is. I'm eager to know what inspired this new universe. Aside from contractual obligations, what made you create a world so different from the Addicted series? Like what made you think you couldn’t incorporate this band of characters within the same universe as the Like Us one, in the same way Love and other cursed things is for example 🤗🤗? Anyway, I digress, my favourite chapters of Lily are when she’s with all and they geeking out domestically about comics and pop culture. How she manages to manover Lo when he looks his cool over said things. And! When she’s narrating as we navigate the core six setting. That’s the best! RE REALITY SHOWS: I started watching "Below Deck”. I had to pause "Survivor" because watching it off 🏴‍☠️ websites became tricky. The ads and pop-ups were too much to handle, so I decided to dive into the Bravo verse instead. I'm planning to watch "Below Deck", "Below Deck Mediterranean", "Below Deck Down Under", "Summer House", "Southern Charm", "Winter House", "Southern Hospitality", and "Vanderpump Villa". Have you started any of these or know of any? I know you guys are huge "Below Deck" fans—what was your entry point season? RE YELLOWSTONE/LIKE US PLEA I’ve also been watching "Yellowstone" and am now halfway through season three. It’s so good! Thanks for incentivizing me to continue watching. I would love to see a bit of ranch culture in the Like Us universe—can you imagine Farrow and Moffy on a horses with a cowboy hat? Donnelly would be the cowboy with a bit of a white trash side, while Thatcher and Banks would be putting Rip a a run for his money on who’s the most refined cowboy. THEY HAVE A LAKE HOUSE TOO! Perfect stomping ground for these activities and bonus chapters/debuts no? 😝🤪🤪🤪✅🤭 Talk to you guys later xxxxx

We have talked about it before. It was something we considered briefly for the Like Us series. It'd have to make sense in the story to include them, but we're not opposed to it.

Hi Laura! GREAT QUESTIONS! 💓 We never did a book tour for Addicted to You or Damaged Like Us, so Dishonestly Yours felt very different. It also has the added pressure of us wanting it to do well for our publisher, too. Since they look at those numbers and if it’s not doing hot they might not invest their marketing power in the rest of the series. BUT Addicted to You and Damaged Like Us felt a little more important to our survival as authors. Those books had to do well for us to even have a chance at keeping a career in writing – so there was more importance and pressure on them for that reason. I suppose, they’re all important in different ways! And watch me not even answer your question correctly LMAO 😂 RE HANGOUT QUESTION: Yes, I love your take on the wealth aspect in Dishonestly Yours. It truly is people who are on the outside but in the inside. They clearly see the faults and miseries that come with being bred in that lifestyle. I also love when Lily geeks out of the comics and pop culture. Infusing our love of X-Men into her and Lo’s love really makes them some of our most dear-to-us characters. RE REALITY SHOWS: You’re going down the Bravo rabbit hole and I love it!!! Becca is more well-versed in the Bravo-sphere than I am. I dropped off on Below Deck when they had all the spin-offs. It was a lot to keep up with. I still do like Southern Charm, but it just feels super scripted these days now that the cast has blown up. I do want to try Vanderpump Villa. I *think* Becca’s biggest rec has been Below Deck Down Under. She really loves that one, I believe! And she still keeps up with all the Below Deck seasons, so she has good recs for that show. Our entry point was Below Deck season 1 when it aired, so it’s hard to say that’s a good entry point now since there are a lot of better seasons. This is why Becca needs to come back to answer Fizz Hangout questions so she can catch you up Below Deck and Star Wars lol 🤣 RE YELLOWSTONE/LIKE US PLEA A cross over between cowboy/ranch x Like Us series would be truly wild! I’m not sure how well versed we’d be on it though. We’re notably…not ranch people lol. Although I think in another life Becca would have 100% moved to Montana and lived her cowgirl dreams (if she liked horses). The wilderness is truly in her soul. I do think it’d be interesting to think about how Moffy and Farrow would fair horseback riding though. They’d be teasing each other the whole time! HAHA. Loved catching up with you! Xoxox 🩷🩷
