My TBR goals are just to read what I want, when I want -- it's tough to read and write a book at the same time, so I'm giving myself grace in the TBR department!

Yasti

My intention is to read 50 books this year - I usually read a bit more than that but we’ll see how it goes! I’ve been slowly reading more gothic lit lately, which I’ve been really enjoying 😇👻 I can’t wait for all your upcoming releases this year!! April and September can’t come soon enough. Also really looking forward to more Frog & Quinn, and part 2 of the bonus scene! I hope you’ve both been well! 🩷

Jay

I just go where the vibes take me! Honesty my goal should probably be to read less seeing as I'm well over 100 books per year in the last few years! It has become my whole personality, I potentially enjoy the escape from reality way too much 🤣

Maria Mik

Reread the Addicted/Calloway sisters series (i'm starting Fuel the Fire) Aaand I wanna re read the Shatter me series BUT the biggest reading goal this 2025 is.......... READING BURN BRIGHHTTT💙💙

Bea (never.stopreading)

My goal for 2025 is survive until Burn bright 😂 In the meantime I'm rereading the Like us series in tandem with patreon’s bonuses in chronological order! 🥹

hannah

Looking forward to yalls two books coming out this year! Literally can’t wait! Also more Frog & Quinn. Currently in a reading slump, which is awful! I haven’t found anything lately that I can get into. My plan is to read whatever sounds good and as much as I can. Probably going to start another reread of the Addicted Series then the Like Us! Always helps get me out of a slump.

Dana Buscher

I haven't reread books before so my goal was to reread all the Addicted books and straight into Like Us series. I've caught a lot of things I missed or forgot the first time around so this is Exciting for me! I'm on Headstrong Like Us now❤️❤️❤️

nora

My plan this year is to finish the like us series (re reading all the books then finally getting to ULU and NLU) I also want to read circus is family and finish the knockemount series. I don't have any other plans I kinda just go with what I feel like reading 😋 and obviously the most important reading goal this year is to read BB when it comes out!! 💙💙❤️‍🔥

Lauren Gibbs

I've actually slowed down a bit this year, but I'm still trying to hit a goal! I mostly stay in the romance genre, but I dabble in fantasy and graphic novels too! ✨️❤️

Arrow

I’ve slowed down reading so much! My main goal is to find more time to read romances. Right now I’m really looking forward to Go Luck Yourself - the sequel to The Nightmare Before Kissmas. I feel like this book is just going to throw me into a St. Patrick’s Day binge. I’ll probably start rewatching Derry Girls.

shi luvs st.cobalt

I **love** Derry Girls! It’s such an incredible show, I need to rewatch it soon! :) I also lovee the episode of “The Great British Bake Off” that the cast was featured on! 🤎🤎

Illyana

Hey girls, happy Saturday! 🎉 It’s been such a long, long minute since I’ve checked in and engaged in the comments on these weekly blog posts—which is always a highlight for me. Unfortunately, a lot of things in my life have taken priority lately, and they’re not the most fun things, so I’ve had very little “me-time.” When I do have a moment, I end up being super self-indulgent and just reading, rather than engaging online or watching TV. If I have to choose between curling up with a novel or watching TV, I definitely go for the books—so funny, right? 😂 Anyway, I’m hoping to start re-engaging and participating a bit more in your weekly hangout posts. So, to answer this week’s question: What are my TBR goals? For 2025, my top priority is to finish at least up to book five of the Malazan series. I’ve been reading one chapter a day (or every few days), and this series is incredibly complicated—the hardest fantasy series ever written for a reason. It takes a lot of coaching, guidance, and definitely some help along the way. So finishing Malazan is a huge priority. 📚🔥 Next, I’m excited about the upcoming new novel—the second book in the Sword Catcher series by Cassandra Clare. Her high fantasy series is really materialising, and it’s super fun to read. I’m also looking forward to the second installment of Dishonestly Yours. Self-indulgently, I kind of want it to become its own addicted-verse, if that makes sense? 🤣. I know trad publishing can be tricky with what they allow, but I absolutely love that universe, and I think there’s so much more to explore. Also because the butter to my bread is always gonna be long-form KBR—where there are several books for a couple. I have an intuitive excitement for that format. Burn Bright is exciting too, but I’m a bit wary of standalone novels featuring just one couple—it’s new terrain for me. I trust you guys implicitly, but I’ve always loved the couples you’ve created, and I just want more of them and more books about them. In terms of other novels, I still have to read the latest installment of Brandon Sanderson’s Wind and Truth. That’s a huge priority for me. The Stormlight Archive feels very summery to me—with its arid, hot, and botanical universe of Roshar—I love rereading Stormlight Archive books during the summer. Right now, I’m in a bit of a flip-flop: I’m reading Malazan, which is deep, cold, and a bit sad, but so engaging. One of my biggest realizations in 2025 is that my favorite books are the ones where there’s a lot going on; they require a higher frequency of attention from both the reader and the narrative, which leads to a higher payoff later. 🌞❄️ Most imminent excitement is from a huge author I love, Scarlett’s Drake just came out with a romance between two ballet dancers, called Limerence (its actually a standalone) which comes out on the 25th of Feb so that will be my priority next week. I’m so excited. I feel like M/M romance between two ballerinos is such unmarked territory! It has that Achilles and Patriculus vibe to it. Strong but beautiful! So I can’t wait 🤓 Long term excitement is they announced just this month the name for book six, and I’m so excited! I think it’s called The Falcon and the Rose, and my theory is that the book will center a lot around the in-world Emma Frost. I love her to death—she’s like a medieval Balmain-wearing vampire: very pale, peak feminine energy, and absolutely SCARY. 🧛‍♀️I cannot wait! If it’s not, then I… well, you’ll have to let me know! 🦅🌹I made her Pinterest board for reference (LMK what u think as Queens at the Pinterest game): https://uk.pinterest.com/jackquelinereads/lit-all-souls-universe/lit-all-souls-universe-ch-ysabeau-de-claremont/ On the comic book front, I’ve been diving into Daredevil by Chip Zdarsky. I highly recommend it because Daredevil delves into conflicts—personal, superhero, and spiritual—that feel so real as I grow older and confront my own mortality and shortcomings. It’s fascinating to see my favorite characters weigh in on these themes. I’ve also been reading Moon Knight, which is supposed to be the best hero run in Marvel right now. I haven’t even seen the Marvel show (I’ve heard it’s so bad?), and honestly, the mixed reception has put me off a bit from reading the comics despite it being so popular. I’m not a huge fan of using DID as a major weakness “that needs fixing” or is the main gateway reason into why their villian era. instead of just a quirky personality trait. Mental health-wise, I feel Brandon Sanderson handles things like that better. Still, I’m reading Moon Knight because the artwork is amazing, and I love an author who commits to a character over many runs. The Italian artist behind it is, unsurprisingly, fantastic! 🎨👊 On a personal note, I recently got a promotion in title at my law firm. I’m now working in litigation and divorce, and I’ve been covering for three other lawyers who are on holiday 😨 so I’m quite stretched thin at the moment. I’ve been doing a lot of overtime—billable hours are paid hours, but it does take a toll on my quality of life. Plus, I’m in the middle of searching for a new place—a short-term forever home for the next five years—since I’ve been moving apartments in London every three to six months due to various issues. 🏙️📦 That’s about it, you guys! I’d love to hear what you’re into, what you’re reading, and what’s on your TBR. Let me know if you’re enjoying Invincible, or if you’ve started watching something new. Sending hugs from London, and I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts on all the above! Have a SMASHING weekend 💕✈️

Defne

My plan for this year to finish my TBR i have 85 books on my bookshelf and i need to finish them.I make a tbr jar to make it fun💓

Sara

I have a goal of 50 books, though realistically, I should probably lower that by 10 😅 I also have a random side goal I’ve been calling #4. I realized I never finished the last book or book 4 in some YA fantasy series of the 2012 era ( hush, hush, caster chronicles, lux, fallen…) As a mood reader, I’m not sure if I’ll get to all of them, but a few would be nice 😊 My physical TBR is always looking at me and judging. Hope to make a dent in there.

shi luvs st.cobalt

OMG, I was obsessed with “Hush, Hush” when I was younger (🪽)! I was always a fallen angel girl during the paranormal era back in the day! ~~ I’ve been interested in re-reading some of my old favorites as well, so we should do a buddy read if you ever decide that you’re in the mood for “Hush, Hush” (no pressure, though)! Just text me if you ever want to! :) 🤎🤎

Arrow

I haven’t seen that Bake off episode yet! Now I have to watch it. Thanks Shi!

Kaitlyn Pasi

goal of 48! my goal every year is to read at least 4 a month even tho i always surpass it by a lot. i keep it low just in case i get way too busy with school/life. as far as genres go, i’m trying to read more fantasy than normal but i’ll always love a cute romance book🥰

Sara

That sounds like so much fun Shi! I’d love to do a buddy read with you 🥹 I’m curious to see how it holds up and FINALLY learn how it ends lol

Angelina (Charlies version) ♟️

I'm sooo happy and excited ya'll have really enjoyed writing BB!! I get how overwhelming all the juggling is but ya'll are the absolute masters of it!! 💗💗 my goal for this year is 45 books!! It used to be 200 but with writing and school and life I've had significantly less time to read lol THOSE WERE THE DAYSS 🫠🫠 honestly my goal for this year is to read every Rina Kent book ever because I've just discovered her and I'm obsessed 😍 have a great weekend guys!! I'm SOOO excited for the new quinn frog chapter and fight night pt.2 I LOVED part one soooooooooooo much it FED me it was fantastic and gave so much!! 💗 ALSO the new idea of posting WIP snippits is GENIUS and I am THROUGHLY enjoying each snippit we get into beloved Bens head I'm so excited for this book I told my english teacher I was skipping class if I got it during this semester 🤣🤣🤣 and he was like alright priorities!! Cause he's cool like that lol

Bella Graham

There are soooooo many books to read and not enough time to read them! I don’t set a specific number because I just like to read whenever feels right, but I want to get through my tbr because I this there’s so many good stories out there and I don’t want to miss out on them!

Julia

My goal is to read 100 books! I used to read 100-115, but the last few years I’ve only been around 85-90, so I wanted to try to get back to 100 this year! I’m on track so far, so we’ll see how it goes. I just finished my yearly reread of the Addicted series (started the end of last year and just finished SKOP this month) and now I’m going to start a reread of the LU series!! I also have some other books I’m planning to reread and some new releases. And of course Destructively Mine and Burn Bright!💙💚💜

Hooran

I keep thinking about if luna & xander will be leaving Orion and Erebor behind in philly and I REALLLY don't like it 😭❤️‍🩹 I need them to have their gentle giants with them in NYC

Krista & Becca Ritchie

Congrats on your promotion, Laura!!! So happy to hear!!! Sending lots of stress-free vibes your way 💗💗 *hugs so tight* Krista did say Moon Knight wasn't that great (the show), so I actually haven't seen it! She's surpassed me in a lot of Marvel content bc she keeps delivering negative reviews to me, which makes it harder for me to want to tune in *hides in shame* lol
