Happy Friday, magical & heroic beauties! We're riding a high from all of the Burn Bright reveals recently. With this one being our next release, we love being able to talk about it. Maybe you noticed on the "All About Audrey" podcast that we're having a hard time keeping the spoilers at bay LOL 😂 We are going to go wild once this book releases! The floodgates will open, and we will have to try to contain ourselves from spilling Book 2 secrets. Speaking of Book 2, we will likely be "almost" finished with it by the time Burn Bright releases. We haven't decided how much we're going to reveal about it yet 👀

On Patreon, we're full steam ahead with Frog and Quinn. We just finished outlining their beats and the rest of their novel. (We tend to write around 30K before outlining "the end" so it's fun that we're treating this one the same even though it's serialized.) Releasing it chapter-by-chapter though is so new to us! It's a little more pressure in the sense that we can't go back and do big overhaul edits, but we're still having a lot of fun with it 🩷✨☀️

June is right around the corner, which means that you will have all new content coming to you again. We're going to try not to post it all at the end of the month. So expect some drops soon!

Friends to lovers tbh. Among all the famous ones the only person that has a friend on paper is Xander. So while I’m completely happy the Ben and Harriet will be endgame, I also want to see the development of their friendship and how they come to trust each other overtime. After all that Ben has been through he deserves a friend, even though he’ll eventually fall for her🙂‍↔️🤭 Something other than the tropes that I’m interested to see is Ben introducing Harriet to his parents. I often wonder if she’ll meet Connor and Rose when she’s just friends with Ben or after they have established a romantic relationship. In the like us series we never really got to see the parents meeting the love interests because they already knew them. So I’m hyped to see how the introductions will go🤭

Hi KBR, do you know if your still planning to release more than 2 chapters a month for Frog and Quinns story or will you continue to stick to 2 chapters a month and still continue there story after Burn Bright releases. college romance ⭐ I am currently studying for my law state exam and I will still do so in september...I love to see a smart woman going for her dreams, it's always super motivating and it will kind of line up with my life so that's cool. I actually think the settings are what I am most excited about for a lot of the Cobalt Empire books. I am looking forward to see the music/theatre/ballet world through the characters eyes🐀

Most likely friends to lovers 😁. I’ve been so engrossed in the webs we weve story as my current PM read routine! Maybe I am slightly out of the loop (so pls clarify if you can) the scope of the series. Bc I genuinely think it has the potential to be a multiple books per couple, soap opera well done like the addicted universe series for real! It is so well done! Will or do you intend to do that? 😇 and, I love the idea of the context as well. It’s so original. And I just loveeee Novas references as a xmen. Honestly any xmen references in your guys’ work has me always kicking my feet and squealing with happiness 🥰🤓😂 please keep it up hehehe 🙏🥹. Also, will we be able to have bonus chapters of webs we weave on the Patreon too? 🧐🙏 bc I know I just sent a batch of suggestions for like us (I know I’m getting to big for my breaches hehe) but can I do the same for webs we weave? 🥰 Loads of hugs and love!

Thank you so much for reading the Webs We Weave series, Laura! 🥰🥰 We're happy that it seems like you're enjoying the ride!! As far as if there'll ever be more, we intended it to be a three-book storyline/arch, especially since we conceptualized it knowing it would be traditionally published and there are a lot of differences with publishing trad vs. indie that make doing longer series more difficult (and maybe not even a possibility if sales are low). It is nice having a series in our canon that is shorter for readers who just want a trilogy and maybe don't want to commit to something super long. That said, we could see a spin-off (we never say never!) for maybe second gen or a Nova standalone, so maybe one day we'll want to return. But things are a bit trickier with it being trad published. We'd love to hear your bonus suggestions for Webs We Weave! We're totally open to doing bonus for the series on Patreon, so that's definitely an option (we almost did post a deleted chapter on Patreon from DM but we actually ended up using it for the next book).

We're *hoping* to complete it before Burn Bright, but we're also keeping track of our deadlines because they're tight this year and next year. We have mapped out the whole storyline into the end 🩷

Right now, we're sticking to 2 chapters a month and gauging our time as we continue into the summer. We're still hoping to carve out time to finish their story before Burn Bright, but we also don't want to run into any situation where we're running out of time to complete Cobalt Empire #2. So at the moment, we're just making sure we meet deadlines. Our edits for DO are very, very extensive, and that is our next deadline (very soon!) so that's what we're working on currently. Once that's turned in, we'll likely have a better picture of the next few months.

Oh my gosh, could never be me vetoing against long series 😛🤪🤪. I definitely think that, whilst I completely respect the direction you have taken, there is soooooo much potential in the ensemble cast of Dishonestly Yours. I feel like I am so late to the party in saying this 😭. Mind you, I am still in my Lunally era, so I am not surprised. I am always a little delayed in the antics, just because life gets in the way, and I just love the Dishonestly Yours cast. It is so, so, so, so good, and they are all so different. I am always a little trepidatious when it comes to new releases, particularly with the Cobalt Brothers, with the exception of Xander. One of the most amazing qualities about your novels is the realism and the way you weave pop culture into them. You breathe life into these books with comic book references, cinema outings, real current obsessions, current television shows, and all the genuine, real things that qualify our free time and cultural our landscape. It is an added layer that I adore, and it constantly inspires me to explore things I might not otherwise have done, given the different life I lead. 🥹 I was initially hesitant about Dishonestly Yours because there were no obvious pop culture zeitgeist fans in the cast or a plot that seemed particularly centred on action and not on those pop culture markers I connect with. I worried that I might not find my hook. But of course, I started reading, and it is absolutely brilliant. I love them all, particularly Nova. I need his standalone novel 🫠. I shall curse traditional publishing forever if they do not allow for a Nova standalone, because I need it in my life. 😆 I do not know if I am entirely ready for the second generation yet, as I am still firmly attached to the first generation, but give me two years and I will probably be there, waving my little flag enthusiastically. I definitely believe it is necessary. I also do not quite understand why traditional publishing would veto longer series when, quite frankly, that is the direction so many successful series have taken. Whether in romantasy or fantasy, series with extended universes are thriving, and it feels natural that these characters should have that space to grow. But then again, I am not in traditional publishing, just a very devoted fan. If you ever need someone to rally and fight for more novels in the Dishonestly Yours cast, especially a Nova novel, please assemble me in your Avengers crew. 🫡I am ready to bring my legal training and my pitchfork and help the cause. I need to see who this man ends up with because he is so funny and endearing. But honestly, I want to see everyone’s story. So yes, call me selfish, but I think this is the best kind of selfish.😭🙏
