Happy Friday, magical & heroic beauties! It's been a chill week as we juggle edits and marketing. It's always difficult working on two different series at once (we've found out the hard way!), so there is something exciting about finishing up Webs We Weave and moving into a time that is solely Cobalt Empire. But we're also going to miss the Graves and Tinrocks so dearly. It's been so fun writing their stories, and since they're con artists, it's given us a lot of extra freedom to write things we can't write in our other series...if you know you know 👀🫣😂

As far as Burn Bright goes -- Preorder Campaign: yes, we will have a preorder campaign to get a signed & personalized copy + character art. Announcement for that should be happening next week on our Instagram. Event: We'll be doing a super fun Launch Party in Georgia (not a full book tour) to celebrate the release. It will be during the weekend, not on a Tuesday. More info on that to come. Retailer Exclusives: No, there aren't any retailer exclusive editions (Target, B&N editions, etc). So we just have the one deluxe edition. If you're an International reader, you can find the deluxe edition at these retailers.

I think I levitated into another dimension when I first read it, that’s how much I love it 😭🩷 Honourable mentions: • Charming Like Us (took this to Vienna with me so ofc I would take this with me on an island! Hello! I really want to read The raging ones/The last hope, but I'm an international reader and I can't find the books anywhere, not even the ebooks. Is there a way to buy them? KBR's website only has The last hope, but to my knowledge I can't ready them as standalones. Please please please, those are the only 2 books left for me to read all of Krista and Becca's books!

I recommend searching on resale sites! Krista + Becca mentioned in a podcast last year that they had gotten their rights back to that series, and were planning on rewriting it as an adult series at some point (if I’m not mistaken), which is why you’re unable to find it! I’ve seen physical copies pop up on sites like Mercari, though! :)

Also, I just watched the new Superman movie. It was so good! We really enjoyed it. The dog should be in all the Superman movies. He was the breakout star. I know I haven’t read Burn Bright yet, so I could be off, but the dynamic between Lois Lane and Superman in the movie gave me strong Ben/Harriet vibes. Superman felt a lot like Ben. And Lois even had some lines that made me think of Harriet.

LAOCT might just be my favorite KBR book. I also love Circus is family but there is something truly magical to me about Mistpoint Harbor and all the characters that live there. Should scheduling allow, I hope someday another book is written. I'm dying to learn more about Baby and Colt as well as Brian and Parry.

“Headstrong Like Us”! 1,000%! I love that book with my whole soul (little baby Ripley 🥹)! I’m going to have to do a reread soon, I’ve been missing Marrow (🤎). I’m glad that DO edits are going well! I’m excited to see the WWW characters again & see what they get up to in DO! It’ll be tough saying goodbye to them, though. I’m not looking forward to that part (🥲)… I’m excited for the BB preorder campaign! I won’t be able to attend the Georgia signing, but my spirit will be there cheering alongside everyone else! It’ll be an amazing time, I know it! I know that “CE #2 - TBA” has been included in the last couple of Hangouts, but I still get chills every time I see it! Everything is moving so fast! That’s such a hard question to answer, but I think I’d go with SKOP because it has so many characters in it (I’m terrible at making decisions, so this way I don’t have to choose between them😂) Ahh so excited for a launch party for Burn Bright and hoping since it’s on a weekend maybe I’ll be able to make it! It’s a bit of a long way from Boston to GA but I’m going to try!!! Also, Becca have you had the time to watch season 2 of Interview with a Vampire yet? After I binged both seasons a couple of months ago, I watched a ton of cast interviews, and am dying for season 3! I also made my sister watch the first episode of season 1😂 she loved the movie and it was probably one of her favorite movies when we were teens, so I think she’s a little biased towards that compared to the show haha. But I am absolutely obsessed and can’t wait for the next season. Also on the topic of TV shows, did you ever watch past season 1 of Fire Country, and if so, what do you think? I started watching it after you mentioned it on a podcast a while back and have really enjoyed it! I haven’t been as sucked in by the most recent season and I’m not caught up all the way, but I saw that a couple main characters won’t be coming back for the next season (not because the actors don’t want to, but because the producers wanted to change up storylines or something like that). I’m really disappointed and sad about it so I’m debating if I should continue watching. Especially bc one of them, in my opinion, is one of the most important characters and has one of the more interesting storylines.

This is a hard question. I’d probably have to choose… either AH! I can’t believe I’m admitting this, but SKOP. Now, the reason for me is this - bc it’s the one with the most POVs it’s a complete 20 cast ensemble edition. So in my mind it’s the most complete. In that same vein, If People Like Us was completed, it would probably be trumped by that book bc I love moffy sm. and would pray that space would be made for Lunalley. How about you guys? 🥰 Also! I watched superman on premier night last Friday! Omgosh we have to talk about it! And all of The Hale family feels about it!

I think if I were to bring one book, it would either be SKOP bc of all the POVs, like you said, or Burn Bright since it's so big and is such a comfort read! Oh I haven't seen season 2 yet!! Thank you for the reminder! I've been watching shows I've had my eye on while we were in the cave, but I totally forgot about that one! Right now, I'm bingeing Foundation on Apple. I've only seen season one of Fire Country! I really love it, but not as much as 9-1-1 for some reason. I think the calls are just more fun on 9-1-1 so the plot tends to be more engaging for me. *gasp* I wonder which actors aren't coming back for Fire Country! That might make me not want to continue too. I am disappointed in the new season of SkyMed (which is similar type of first responder soap). Seems like some of the shows aren't doing as hot as of late
