I’m the youngest of seven. I shouldn’t want to be coddled, but it’d be an utter lie to say it’s not nice having brothers who’d carry me across puddles and molten lava. Who’d protect me from trivial messes and gruesome death.

Given the right circumstances—like me faking a sprained ankle—even Charlie, my oldest and most disagreeable brother, would carry me up these stairs too.
