Weekly Recap

Happy Friyay! We are officially out of the writing cave and...wow, did we pull some all-nighters for Audrey Virginia 😅 We'll probably talk about it on a podcast, but this was without a doubt one of the hardest deadlines we've encountered, maybe since Hothouse Flower. In part to its length. We did not prepare for this book to be quite this size. We thought it'd be the shortest novel of all six in the Cobalt Empire. However...it is chunky. We can also tease the page count here!

Officially, Loathed Love is 659 pages (print length). It's only 8,000 words shorter than Silver Sweet. Which is by far way longer than we predicted. We thought it'd come in around 30k shorter, so our estimates were very off. We've made peace with the fact that every novel will likely be around this size, due to the individual sibling relationships we enjoy showing and other factors. Loathed Love is a much more sweeping novel, which we absolutely love! You get so much more out of it, and it's such an unpredictable ride (gah, we want to say so much more, but we will restrain ourselves for now). We'll just say it pairs incredibly well with Silver Sweet, so we're ecstatic that you won't have long to wait to dive into this one after Tom's romance.
