I LOVED misfits!! It was definitely different to what I was expecting, but a good different. I stayed up all night reading it and honestly it was worth it. I really loved it!! I’m a sucker for a slow burn romance. The pining, the longing, the yearning were all so good 🖤 And the ending broke my heart. Finished the book this morning and wow. Definitely different, but I think we can see where you are going with it at least to some degree. Donnelly is probably my favourite POV, he's just so interesting. His scene with Beckett was soo good. I hope we can get some past scenes with them as bonuses now. Loved seeing more characterization for some other side characters we only saw glimpses of. And can we talk about Lo&Donnelly's relationship?? Like the glasses scene, the running...in general I love how they did not go behind his back (completely) because that is something we've seen in other books and it would be boring as a conflict again I feel like. Luna was so real, I could really feel her anxiety throughout the book, hoping she gets more confidence and stands up for herself in the future as part of her arc. Also Harriet...she will definitely be someomes love interest, the question is who's it going to be 🤔 I can see her with Ben or Kinney, maybe even Xander...so many possibilities for the next books. 😍

I honestly LOVED it. They were so wholesome and cute and there characters reminded me so much of Lily and Lo. Like soooo much!! When Lily said “I want my superpower to be to disappear” I went right back to the addicted books 😌😌 I can’t wait for the next books and I’m so sad we have to wait a while :/

I'm finished and it was amazing. I loved getting to see into the hale dynamics a little more, especially Xander. (I'm proud of how well he did in misfits going to a dance!!) I laughed so hard every time Donnelly called Connor "papa cobalt" tho. Donnelly & Lunas povs were pretty awesome because everything felt so different than other books, like the whole vibe was different which I loved. also the scene between Beckett & Donnelly??? amazing. Beckett being jealous was something I didn't know I needed. "You made an entire galaxy for me. How could I not love you?"

Hey Ladies, I already talked about how much I loved the book. But there is no such thing as too much appreciation. I loved the book so much. It is my favorite book so far. I loved Lo and Donnelly scenes so much. They are going to be my favorite in law pairing for a while, even before they are in laws. The Hales and the Yale boys. The were so many LiLo parallels. Everything was amazing. Lunelly was just ❤. Also, I love the way you guys do tropes. You keep the best parts of the trope and leave the worst parts out. Atleast in my opinion 😂. Also I need answers to the Donnelly questions of the day😂😂😂.

Hi hi! So let me just say this may be my favourite like us book yet 😭😭😭 Luna and Donnelly are so cute they made me tear up so many times. Something about couples bonding over fandoms has me dead (cough cough lilo cough cough gillow). Donnelly’s little questions in his journal entry’s had me cracking up so so funny. ALSO was not expecting Lo to be in it as much as he was but of course I am not complaining the scenes between him and donnelly towards the end, especially the run, had me crying 😭 but also they are such a comedic duo they also had me laughing so hard. Loveddddd seeing more Tom and Eliot they are just the best and their friendship with Luna is the sweetest. Also, I loved Frog so much the way she was Luna’s wing woman pretending she was on her period and then Donnelly being totally chill caught her off guard and made Luna smile ughhh so so good 🤧 Oh and almost forgot the club chapters were perfection Im such a sucker for characters getting jealous and Donnelly bringing Jo to the date was funny cause RIP Oscar but then Luna getting upset was so sad but so angsty 😢 🥰 (Beckett being jealous about it too 🥰🙏🤭) Anyway I could ramble on for hours but Luna and Donnelly are everything to me and I only wish I hadn’t read the book so quickly I think I may have to do a reread this weekend :)

Alright. I had a breath. I took notes while reading. These are just the moments that really stood out to me, so nothing in depth yet.<p>1. I want to start off by saying that Donnelly and Luna's POVs are amazing. Both characters appear so "flighty" from the outside and I knew going into this that there was more brimming under the surface, but I loved their obvious intelligence and ability to observe others. Donnelly also had more bite in him than I initially expected, but I love it. I can now safely say Farrow, Banks and Donnelly are my three top faves.</p><p>2. I don't really enjoy slow burn or mistaken identity, so I won't lie, this was painful for me at times because I just desperately wanted them to be together. When they finally kissed (74% into the book, RIP me) it was so, so good. I'm really looking forward to them just being together in the rest of their trilogy.</p><p>3. Loren Hale. Boy, does he grind my gears at times. Imagine my surprise that Donnelly's interactions actually made me like him. I do think I sense a very special, different kind of bond developing here. I love it. Their comedic banter really surprised and delighted me.</p>

4. I'm very, very happy that Donnelly stood up for himself and called Loren out. I think that was really important and very necessary for Loren to hear.<p>5. The Jo thing had me howling and cringing at the same time. It was both funny and like watching a car wreck because I never want Luna to feel sad.</p><p>6. As predicted, the lunnelly ship has me all kinds of messed up. It's right up there with marrow and cobaletti as one of my faves.</p><p>7. Their chemistry is so insanely good. Them just vibing and being together. Urgh inject all of that straight into my veins.</p><p>8. I'm genuinely happy with how Loren handled Donnelly's request to date Luna and actually find myself agreeing with him that they need to wait until the D family situation is handled. When Loren told Donnelly, "you wait for her," I felt that. I haven't read the Addicted series, but I have read the Calloway Sisters series, and I know from that that Lily and Loren went through something similar. The parallels were <3.</p>

9. Donnelly telling her that they were destined. That is some good, very accurate shit. As Donnelly would say, "Stamp."<p>10. Am I sensing something developing between Xander and Easton? Am I reading too much into that? Lmao, probably.</p><p>11. Farrow is an amazing friend, and I live for his relationship with both Donnelly and Luna. Him reassuring Donnelly about the scumbag situation? RIP to my heart because it's been infected with feels. Also, I just love how hard he fought for Donnelly and their friendship. I also loved that he was team lunnelly from the start.</p><p>12. Luna picking up on Thatcher hiding his hurt. I love how perceptive she is.</p><p>13. Donnelly calling Xander his little elf. My cotton candy heart is melting into more goo.</p><p>14. Loren sitting haunted in the car after Luna told him Donnelly wouldn't want to be with her because of him. Argh, so good!</p><p>15. Eliot failing to play Cupid for the person he intended to play Cupid for, unlike Charlie, is hilarious. </p>

16. Speaking of Charlie, I love him and miss him and was hoping for more Roxanne crumbs. Alas, I remind myself good things are worth waiting for.<p>17. Donnelly's positive affirmations to himself in his notes are everything I needed. His notes overall were amazing.</p><p>18. Eliot's continued vendetta against the Rochesters has me very eye emoji.</p><p>19. Their first time being Donnelly making Luna's roleplaying fantasies come true is just too amazing.</p><p>20. Their tongue touching promise thing is so them, I'm insanely in love with it.</p><p>21. Will Loren eventually get on Donnelly's case about smoking the way he did Garrison's, I wonder? You know, once Donnelly's "Make Loren Hale My Best Friend" mission has been completed. I hope so lol.</p><p>22. When Donnelly put the AirPods in Luna's ears and played Dreams for her, I actually started sobbing.</p><p>23. Luna saying that she feels protective of Donnelly and their relationship, argh so good. The word "mightily" was used and I just love how fiercely they want to fight for each other.</p>

Misfits Like Us was my most anticipated book of the year. I was disappointed it was delayed by a month, however I now understand why. The delay was needed to ensure the readers got the best first kiss in the disco room, the Green Room dance, and to achieve the perfect book vibe. This book was everything. Luna and Donnelly have been teased since the bus tour in Lovers Like Us. We’ve watched them develop on the side lines through several POV’s but this book was beyond words. Thank you Krista and Becca you did the impossible you made Lunnelly my top couple outsing Marrow by a long shot. Your writing on anxiety was on point that it made me emotional just experiencing those moments with Luna. Thank you for taking the extra month to give us Misfits because I’m here to let you know it was worth it. Keep writing! I hope to be your loyal reader in every universe. P.S. The OA dance was everything!

Xander’s mental health has significantly improved and I’m so happy for him, so that was by far a highlight. It was so precious to see how close he has gotten to Easton and I strongly believe they are platonic soulmates. My heart was gushing when Xander was finally interested in someone but then broke again when she was using him to get to Donnelly. Luckily, Easton was there to lighten up the mood and stay by his friend’s side.

THANK YOU for giving us the luna and donnelly content we’ve all been waiting for!! i read the book in one sitting and i’m already sad it’s over🥲 a reread is a MUST. i always love the little moments in books and this one filled my heart. the both make eachother better people and i hope donnelly helps luna become more confident in herself. there were so many aspects that i cant wait for them to be expanded on. like lunas college plans and the friendships. i see myself in luna and her struggles i hope she opens up to lily and daisy and sees how similar they are. lo and donnellys relationship I CANT WAIT. also how lunnellys love and support is unconditional makes me so happy💚💜 THE penpal ish TROPE i wasn’t expecting but i loved it. it proved how connected they truly are. the scene for their first time was so special and the last scene where they talk about waiting for eachother meant so much. i know it will break me but i want to learn so much more about donnellys past and see him overcome the pain and pressure from them. i have so much more i want to say but it’s already so long so i’ll stop here but i love it. i love them. Omg I just need to rant about the Halloween hellfire gala! That was so fun and I need a podcast about it asap! I wanna know what everyone did and wore to match their character (if they tried or not with their fit hehe) who was the most accurate? Least accurate? Who put in the most effort? Best dressed? Ahhh the PINING. I love a good slow burn and this was just perfect! The build up to Luna and Donnelly finally getting together was everything - and the pay off made it all so worth it. Loved seeing more Xander. LOVED Lo slowly letting Donnelly in. The wait for it parallel WRECKED me. I actually screamed. Only hope for more Lily in Unlucky — everything about Luna’s internal monologue when her stories were posted was so similar to Lily’s after her addiction leaked, so I’m dying to see Lil supporting her daughter through this. Ahh but honestly Misfits was perfect and I already want to reread 💚

you girls are really two of my favorite authors in this world. this book is marvelous. the angst, the humor, the chemistry, the love, the family dynamics, the ✨ magic ✨. the development was 10/10. i’m kinda speechless because there are lots of feelings i haven’t processed yet. i can relate to luna in so many levels and i know i’ll spend the next week thinking about this. also, i wasn’t expecting some tropes, because i could swear luna wasn’t in love with donnelly at first! i thought it’d be unrequited love!!! needless to say i loved the surprise 🫶🏻 and them bonding over a series without knowing they were talking to each other? 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 i LOVED it. one of the highlights is the one and only emperor of petty!!!!! i laughed so hard with this grumpy old man. every scene of his expanded my lifespan 😭 i’m a hale girl through and through, not gonna lie. plus, lilo scenes, the hale kids bonding always make me emotional, the fucking parallels between lilo and lunnelly!!!!!!!!!! aaaaaaaa, it was amazing. probably my favorite LU book so far (i love HLU so much though 🙇🏻‍♀️). i can feel this trilogy is gonna be a hell of a journey! so excited for the next one. can’t wait for more ✨ lonnelly ✨, the future best in law duo we’ll read about ♥️

ROMANCE!! It would just be so Xander to be closed off to the world and then realize he’s been falling in love the whole time with the one person that makes him feel safe. It would just melt my gooey heart. It would also be cute for them to have a Farrow/Donelly type of friendship that just starts in their teenage years. But I’m fully in the romance camp first and foremost. I always thought it was weird that Xander pointed out this one person as a person he wanted to protect/give his drugs too. Like what makes him so special? When you’re the person that’s always running away from strangers, why latch onto this person? I want to see that from Xander‘s point of view.

Ok, I I’m not overly enamored with this book. However this also happened to me with Charming Like Us, but I reread and it’s now one of my favorite ones; so, I may need to do that with this book too. But overall it just felt like the book was missing some tempo. I just felt like some of the interactions were odd, like it’s not the way the real people interact with each other. For instance the scene in the coffee shop with the bully. I understand getting away with a confrontation like that if you’re writing a book about high school but I just don’t think that real adults talk to each other that way. Such naked bullying is not really something that adults partake in. I thought there were multiple scenes like that, where the characters’ actions just didn’t feel true to like what a real person would do. This was especially true in the first third of the book. Some of the interactions between Luna and Donelly just felt really cringe 😬 One relationship I felt was actually pretty interesting was the relationship between Donnelly and Lo. I did not think it was gonna be such a big part of the book, but I’m so happy that it was. Every time there was an interaction between them it just popped off the page. The scene with the glasses I felt was a big turning point. Loved! I loved getting little glimpses of domestic life for Farrow and Maximoff. It just melted my little heart 💜 if every future Bonus scene was just snippets of their domestic life, I would not be sad about it 😅 Another thing I didn’t like was Luna‘s insecurity. I mean this is now the second female lead a row that is just riddled with insecurities and anxiety and I never thought that I would yearn for Jane’s self-assurance (she’s my least favorite character -I don’t dislike her but I just don’t like her as much as all the others) but here I am, just hoping for a female lead that isn’t just falling all over herself and her self doubt. Confidence is sexy. Why is Donelly the only confident one? Ughhh Obsessed with Xander‘s relationship with his friend. I hope for a couple vibe. I wanted more from the conversation between Beckett and Donnelly. I wanted Beckett to say sorry that he didn’t quit for Donelly, sorry that he made him lose his job and his friend and made him feel like he didn’t matter. But he didn’t do that. Does he even know how much he really hurt Donnelly? Could’ve used less immersion into the sci-fi world. I get it as a literally device; but I don’t know, it just didn’t do it for me. I think this book made me realize that I have always been Team Donnelly more than Team Luna. I’ve fallen in love with his character throughout the books but she’s always just sort of been a dorky mystery. I was hoping to fall more in love with her than I did in this book. Like, I would’ve been friends with Donnelly but not convinced that I would be friends with Luna.

I am honestly just absolutely speechless. Like, when I say I wanted Lunnelly’s book with my entire heart and soul for the past 4 years, that is not an exaggeration. We took the crumbs and the tiny moments (or at least I did, and obsessed over them like little precious gold nuggets I would revisit frequently) just waiting for the day we got Donnelly and Luna’s POVs….and they did NOT disappoint. Oh my god I was blown away. Their long awaited book 1 was so rewarding… I just.. I’m literally obsessed? I’m obsessed. For me, this is THE couple, THE love story, THE OTP….. 💫🤟👽❤️🛸

I really loved getting into their POVs to learn they have both been pining for one another (!!!!!) and the slow burn?! While torturous…it was actually amazing!! I loved the pacing of this book and setting us up for book 2. And OH KAY DONNELLY, literally the absolute perfect H and even more perfect that I could have hoped for 😭 I’m so excited about the progress of Lo and Donnelly’s relationship. Also, I look forward to more with Lily and Donnelly (I know we got a bit right there at the end, but I know Lily is going to love Donnelly and can’t wait to read his on page family dinners with the Hale’s 😊 Also, KBR, you have no right being so good at tying in the smallest details! I feel like after 7 books of lead up we got so many tie backs and they were phenomenal 😩

Donnelly being forced into prostitution is something that has actually been hinted before by Farrow in one of the marrow books. It might have been LLU, but I can't confirm 100%. All I know is Farrow did make a, hm, suggestion that Donnelly was a child prostitute. Either one of his books or one of his POV bonuses. Also, there's a reason O'Malley keeps talking about "street corners" re: Donnelly. It didn't come out of nowhere, it's just not something Donnelly or Farrow talk to very many people about. I'm sure it will be discussed more between Donnelly and Luna in the future. 😊

Loved the A2Y parallels! Obv everyone has pointed out Lo asking Donnelly to wait for Luna like when he asked Lily to wait for him but also the laundry room scene when Ryke was soaking wet and asked to use the dryer. I think Lo sees the worst parts of himself and Ryke in Donnelly (even though Donnelly is so different from them) and he knows how hard it was for them to love Lily/Daisy and he wants better for his daughter. Luna has so much of Lily but also lots of Daisy! Love her friendship with T&E but also loved seeing her friendship with Sulli grow stronger.

yeah Michelle is right, it's been hinted at before, with the street corners and turning tricks. I think it's a really painful part of Donnelly's past (understandably so) that's why he hasn't gotten into it in detail yet but I'm pretty sure it's going to come up again in future books. he must have been pretty young too, my heart breaks for him so much

Loved Misfits so much!! When Luna started to dance at the mean girl- 🤣. I loved Donnelly even more for starting to dance with her. Donnelly’s daily planner was a great addition. Loved his questions of the day- need those answers. Their first time was 🤩. Wanted to throat punch Loren in the beginning but I am hoping the ending means the start of a good relationship for Lo and “Don Don” - hehe.

Loved all the peaks into their relationships especially the Yale boys, girl squad, and the married couples. But we also got the Cobalt boys and Olivierra kids!! okay this book was definitely was one of my favourites in the like us series. Such an amazing slow burn romance - went through a roller coaster of emotions. I cried more than I anticipated. Luna and Donnelly are not what they seem from the outside. I loved learning more about them. Lo and Donnelly scenes often angered me but I love seeing their relationship grow. Luna reminds me of Lily in the best ways.

Although I loved Luna & Donnelly, I am definitely here for the side characters. I love Jo & Beckett, and I never thought Elliot would be the guy I’m most intrigued by. I never saw that coming but here we are👍🏻 The QoTDs are awesome but the Yale boys had me laughing out loud. “Old Thor”😂 it was perfect. I do have to skip the tongue thingy, just not for me😂 but it’s totally them. I will say this, not a criticism but I do think this book isn’t geared towards everyone. If you aren’t into sci-fi it might be hard to read. I love sci-fi but it did start to be a bit much.

Loved it soo much!!! They are so beautiful together and all that pIn felt so real. And your cliffhanger wasn't nearly as mean as I expected, so thank you. Also his family makes me feel sick- good job. My copy was really glitchy, it kept throwing me back about 30 pages at a time and the bottom tacking bar didn't work properly alot of the time- reading on Kindle on an android- i haven't had this problem with any other ebooks, has anyone else had this issue?

I am pretty hard core into science fiction, it felt great to me- but I was also trying to read it in smaller bits to savour it. alot of the books are different like that based on the characters - like how Banks and Sulli and Akaras books feel more insular because of Sulli's avoidance of the fans and fame alot of the time, or how in charming like us the feel was soo different. This book is by far my favorite so far! (and i thought no one could top Kitsuletti and Marrow) Luna reminded me so much of Lily yet she is so authentically herself! I loved how much she cares for others and their well being! I loved that she is more sensitive than any other character it makes me love her even more regardless of her so called “flaws” the whole time i just wanted to crawl into the pages and give her a hug! Donnelly is probably my new POV! He is so intellectual, funny, and caring it made my heart so happy! The way he cares for Luna, his brothers and these families…swoon… I love that he went to Lo for help and he helped us understand his “bad luck crew” thoughts and in the end he changed his thoughts on the Hales from the bad luck crew to the survivors! It made my heart so happy!! Overall this book broke my heart, made me swoon, and made me laugh more than any other book! The planners and his Questions & Goals were hilarious! Also the “hot dog water” scene with Sulli had me rolling!! thank you so much for creating this world for me to escape in! thank you for making flawed characters with soul mate love! AMAZING!! I loved so so so much about this book, it really felt like Luna and Donnelly were in heir own little world, far away from planet earth and not too worried about floating away together. It felt whimsical but at the same time more grown up than previous books and relationships. Donnelly seems like such an interesting character, he has so much depth to him and Luna is all air and lightness but struggles with her own things at time. I would have loved to see her be less insecure but I hope this will be her arc to get to that confidence in her later books! Im rooting for her for sure! I loved Loren and Donnelly relationship and his and Farrows and Xander. Donnelly really is a Hale at heart. Luna and Tom and Eliot are amazing together, they jump of the page and make you want to reach out and dance with them all night. I loved the "cool uncle" vibe she has going with Charlie, he wants her to succeed without blowing smoke up her a**. I hold a special place for Beckett and Donnelly cuz I thought these two have so much untapped page potential, like I can't wait for them to be friends again!!! All in all an amazing read, worth all the wait!!! Oscar and Jack will forever be my fav but Lunnelly are second for sure!!!! xoxo

I loved it. Some people are mentioning the sci-fi element being a bit too much, but it didn’t bother me & I don’t watch Star Wars or anything like that. That’s who Luna & Donnelly are, people get really into it & it’s fine. Donnelly has been into fandom since book 1. I love the lengths that he goes to for Luna, to try & make her feel better. I really hope we get flashbacks or bonuses for Lunnelly in Scotland & after the townhouse fire. I feel like they had moments then. One thing I wanted to see in the book was Farrow standing up for Donnelly to Lo. Farrow did encourage Donnelly to just do it, but that’s not exactly the same. Maybe there was a confrontation & we’ll get it in a bonus. Donnelly is essentially Farrow’s little bro, Marrow have Ripley thanks to him & Farrow knows how much Donnelly is sleep walking & how his feelings for Luna are messing with him. Farrow isn’t a meddler, but Lo was putting his own insecurities on Donnelly & being disrespectful considering what he’s done for the Hales & I can’t believe Farrow would say nothing. It doesn’t take away from the book. Just wanted to see someone stand up for Donnelly.

And that makes sense because that’s not who Donnelly is & he would never hurt Luna on purpose to push her away. Please please please you need to read the addicted series!! I think I recently read a bonus scene and saw a comment you left about Lo’s behaviour (I think it was when he threatened Donnelly) and I’m glad that after MLU you could like him more, but Lo (and Lily as well of course) has been through a lot and his progress and development is insanely amazing, you get to know him and his motives and see his flaws… I think that’s what makes him so real and convincible, he’s far from being perfect but he grows sm during the whole series and always try to be a better person for lily and their kids. I loved reading your thoughts about MLU and that’s why I suggest you reading the whole series 🥰✨I think you’d really enjoy it
