Welcome to the newest Fizz Hangout! Every Friday, you all can stop by the weekly Fizz Hangout post and ask questions (to us or to your fellow patrons), discuss recent bonus scenes and/or podcasts with each other, and catch up on all the goodies you might've missed!

What are your feelings on spoilers? Do you like reading spoilers before diving into a new release or do you stay as far away from spoilers as you can? 💘

Happy Friday, magical & super heroic beauties!! It's been 2 weeks since Misfits Like Us released into the world, and it's still such a surreal feeling knowing it's been read (and loved!) by so many readers. We're so appreciative of all the support for Luna & Donnelly and this very long series 🥰 It's August! Which means that you can expect brand new content here on Patreon this month. The Berkley edition of Addicted to You is also releasing this month, and it has a brand new bonus scene from Lo's POV. So you don't want to miss that. Speaking of missing stuff, in case you missed it, here's what went down this week on Patreon:

💚🎉 NEW RELEASE: Misfits Like Us is Now Available in ebook & paperback!

For audiobook listeners, we have officially been told by Audible that Misfits is in production!! Woot woot. We're still estimating about a 3-4 month wait  for the audio (October/November). We don't know which narrators we're chosen, so we shall be surprised with all of you! 

💚 NEW EDITIONS: The Calloway Sisters Simon & Schuster Australia Editions are now available! Australian/New Zealand Readers can find them here. Everyone else can purchase them on The Book Depository.

💚 Signed Book Store Restock: if you weren't able to get the books you were hoping for in this recent restock, we'll be doing another restock next month, so the wait won't be too long. For more info about the signed store, we have an FAQ page

💚 In case you missed this news, there will be brand new covers for the Like Us series 🎉 These will be illustrated covers. They'll replace the ebooks, and the print editions (paperback & hardcover) will be special editions that include one Patreon bonus scene in the back of each. We're still estimating that they'll be completed this year. They're being designed by the amazingly talented Haley Secen ✨

The original Like Us series paperbacks with the faces will still be available online, and for the rest of the Like Us series, you'll have a choice between the face cover or the illustrated cover for print. This way you can complete your collection if you already have the face covers

💚November 4th-6th, we'll be attending Shameless Book Con 2022 in Orlando, Florida

I definitely stay away from spoilers for an anticipated book. I’ll usually stay off social media those first days to avoid them 🖤

It’s really based like if I’m reading a book and it gets boring I search it up on tik tok like those videos of the books, to give me spoiler of som interesting so it gives me motivation to keep reading

I usually like minor spoilers but try to stay away most of the time. It all depends on the book for me lol

I tend to try to avoid spoilers as much as possible but mostly for books and series that I'm really really invested in. If it's a one off book, I don't care. But I used to be REALLY bad with movie spoilers, and whenever we watched a new movie, I'd be on Wikipedia reading the plot while it played out, because I couldn't stand waiting the whole movie to get answers. My family hated me for it. But I have matured!

Run away from spoilers! I really do not like being spoiled, especially if it's an anticipated release... I was not able to go into Misfits until late into the release day and had not opened any social media to avoid any potential spoilers... I hate them that much hahha

Love spoilers! I’m still gonna read the book regardless of spoilers. Plus it makes me excited to read the books. I find it motivating.

controversial but i love spoilers... idk why but maybe because of my anxiety 😭 i like knowing what's gonna happen so i read very calmly and analyze what's going on more deeply

i TRY to stay away from spoilers but usually i’m too curious or excited that i’ll end up looking anyways and then i end up regretting it. i think the experience of a book is so much better when it’s spoiler free and you can actually be surprised by the events of the book

I only like spoilers if I never had any intention of watching/reading it in the first place. Sometimes I know I'll never have time to get around to something so I don't mind it getting spoiled for me but it would make me upset otherwise 🙈🤣

I like general spoilers not deep detailed spoilers ,where it's a breakdown of everything connected to the spoiler.For example I don't mind if someone tells me a character is going to hook up or die but don't give me the details on how it happens or why. You ladies could tell me a certain couple will have this many kids but I don't want to know the path the couple took to have those kids etc..

I don't like spoilers because then I find myself anxious to get to the part and usually I disagree with how the spoiler's opinion or how they perceived the situation or it really wasn't as big of a deal as they thought it was so it annoys me even more.

I have anxiety so some spoilers I like 🤣 If I know a book has a lot of angst sometimes I will look ahead but it’s not an all the time thing I do

I tend to immerse myself in a book/movie, feel all the feelings. I will very easily suspend my disbelief. Since I am with the main characters feeling their feelings, I get anxious not knowing major plot points. If I am getting too anxious I will seek out spoilers. They give me a safety net to enjoy the feelings of the book/movie.

Honestly I think I forget the spoiler by the time I actually get to enjoying whatever the content is (books, movie, shows, etc) 😂😂 … I struggle more with the speculative stuff! I love watching videos or reactions to movies/shows that turn into them theorizing what may happen in the future (especially in the Marvel/DC universes). Those can be kind of spoiler-y when they get into comic stuff but it can also build up the movies/shows so much that the movies/shows can be kind of a let down 🥲 So I try to manage my expectations with that kind of “spoilery” content 😂

i will actively avoid any spoiler, especially if it’s a quote, abt a book/series i’m invested in or am very excited to read. i enjoy going into books quite blind and possibly only knowing the main tropes involved. so much so that i actually avoided reading the blurb or the teaser quotes leading up to the release of mlu 😭😭.

I do like general spoilers because I think they help me get excited about the story but nothing too detail heavy, unless I'm stressed out about what's happening next :)

Also question (for KBR or anyone who may know the answer lol) I was stalking your patreon (as one does) and I saw an old patron comment on a post that there was an instance where Rose heard Charlie having sex with someone he brought home. When did this happen? I don't remember reading about it at all

My feelings about spoilers change depending on the situation. If a story makes me feel super anxious about something, I like spoilers because it can either set my mind at ease and I can enjoy it or I can understand it isn't for me and leave it. But if I'm really enjoying a story and I'm not really anxious about it, then I avoid spoilers.

Hihi just curious but have you guys decided which couple will be next after NLU and your new series is written? Do you have an estimate as to when PLU is going to start being released? From what I understand, it’s like a chapter a week right? What are u guys working on rn - ULU, PLU, Patreon content, or Dishonestly Yours?

How is PLU going to be released if it's serial style? Is it on Kindle Vella or something? Cos that platform sucks for readers so I'd have to wait to see if you released it as a real novella. Patreon is the only platform I read serials on. The others are all clunky and inaccessible.

Hate spoilers, but I love when authors foreshadow or hint at future events or well thought out fan theories. There are times these books are almost mysteries with some of the hints. In the future I fully expect a scene where Lily reads the dictionary to baby girl marrow.

We do have a plan for after Nobody Like Us, but we're just holding off on announcing anything new just yet. People Like Us likely won't be weekly (we're still working out how we're going to roll it out, so we don't have all the details to share just yet). We've had to keep reevaluating when it's going to start since some things have to be prioritized before it, like the Special Bonus and the other committed bonus scene (Luna & Donnelly dirty dancing from Sinful Like Us). We're almost always working on Patreon content for the Like Us series alongside the actual books, so right now is Patreon content and Dishonesty Yours 💗

The original idea was to release simultaneously on Kindle Vella and Patreon, but we've been watching the platform since it started and there's a large part of us that thinks People Like Us isn't a good fit for Kindle Vella, so we're likely just to release this on Patreon and then compile it when it's complete as a novella 💗

We actually aren't doing questions for the Extra "All About" Podcast for this one since we're spending more time on the bonus content, so we have less time to compile questions (that's usually the time-consuming part for the All About ones). But we do have a general idea of what gets asked for these, so hopefully we'll still cover a lot of the questions that some people might have! 💗💗
