Welcome to the newest Fizz Hangout! Every Friday, you all can stop by the weekly Fizz Hangout post and ask questions (to us or to your fellow patrons), discuss recent bonus scenes and/or podcasts with each other, and catch up on all the goodies you might've missed!

HANGOUT QUESTION: we love seeing your response to questions about the Like Us series, and it helps facilitate some awesome discussions! Each week, there'll be a new "hangout question" that you can answer in the comments, if you wish!

It's St. Patrick's Day and you can choose any two characters from the Like Us or Addicted Series to go to an Irish Pub with, who are you taking?

Happy Friday, lovelies! We hope you all are having a great mid-March Friday. It's storming here in Georgia, which makes for the best kind of cozy writing weather. Speaking of writing, we are busy at work on Unlucky Like Us, and we're still likely to complete it by our deadline. However, we're so in love with this book, and we want to give it the most spectacular release ever, so we have some news! With Addicted for Now releasing this month and Kiss the Sky coming in May and Hothouse Flower in June, we've been taking a closer look at promo for the Addicted series AND for the Like Us series.

We really want neither one to overshadow the other, so it's been a bit tricky for us. Our fear has been that the month we've wanted to release Unlucky Like Us is actually a bad promo month for the Like Us series in general, since we really need to promote Addicted for Now, Kiss the Sky, and Hothouse Flower while also finishing our edits for Unlucky, so it's going to give us a severely limited time to actually promote Unlucky Like Us. In an ideal world -- if we only had the Like Us series right now -- we would've likely already posted teasers.

This is also our first time not doing a pre-order in years. This was totally intentional since we knew this year was going to be very new for us while we're juggling a bunch of other deadlines and the Addicted re-releases with a traditional publisher. We've traditionally published before, but having 6 trad releases in one year is something we've never done. So we knew we had to be a bit more flexible with our indie schedule this year.

And so, that leads us to a tiny change. Unlucky Like Us will likely be a Summer 2023 release. We'll announce the exact date a bit closer, but it 100% will release then. As we've said, it'll be finished in advance and we'll also be working on Nobody Like Us at this time. NLU's release will not be affected. It's still coming Fall 2023. The good news: we'll likely have paperbacks up for pre-order and wayyyy more time to promote and tease. AND it won't be overshadowed by the Addicted series, since the biggest books (i.e. most popular/jumping in points) in the Addicted series would've already been released.

We're so excited to be able to send Unlucky Like Us out into the world with the kind of fanfare it deserves. When we say we've been imagining this book for YEARS and finally having it come to fruition has been such a joy and monumental moment for us...it's an understatement. We really and truly love this book so much we can't imagine not hyping Luna & Donnelly up the way we've pictured. We know this probably isn't the best news of the month, but we hope you all can understand where this decision is coming from. We want to give the best to Lunnelly and the best to all of you, always.

You all are the first to hear this news. We don't want this to overshadow Addicted for Now's release, so we likely won't talk publicly about it until later, but as Spring 2023 nears, we know more and more of you are prob going to wonder what's the latest.

Also, we totally see the irony in delivering this unlucky news about Unlucky Like Us on a day that’s supposed to be full of luck 😭 Hopefully this will be the last “unlucky” thing to happen!

In happy Patreon news, some of you may have seen that this month will be solely focused on the Sip-in-Snow party aftermath from Fearless Like Us. We hope you enjoyed the first bonus scene! There's lots more to come during that time, and we've had a blast getting back in the Core 6 POVs ❤️ It also seems super fitting to give the Core 6 a bit of a spotlight here on Patreon with Addicted for Now releasing this upcoming Tuesday! We can see the title headers on our end! But we've had a time period where one of us saw "broken" images for past headers, and it got fixed after we updated our computer. So possible try seeing if Chrome or your computer needs an update? Otherwise, if others are having the same issue, it might be a Patreon glitch that they'll fix. They're always doing updates on the site.

a little sad that unlucky like us will be released later than expected, but i know it’s not something you did lightly. knowing the same happened with mlu and i love that book so so much, i’ll be excited to read ulu whenever it comes out!! is it safe to say that it’s coming out in july? or can you release it during one of your other release months? (also i think there’s a typo in the weekly recap? - it says that kiss the sky is coming in june and hothouse flower is coming in july, which is different from the upcoming releases section)

It was so classic when Connor said St. Patricks Day should celebrate him since he makes his own luck 😂🍀 i'm so excited for all the new covers!The first book i bought was the Berkley version of Addicted to You, and only once i reached Addicted for Now did i realize there were different covers, so then of course i needed to go find the other indie ones to complete the set! i was so happy that i was able to buy all of them from your signed book store before they sold out😍😍😍 In buying so many books recently, I have a nice little collection of bookmarks and stickers for both the addicted/calloway sisters series and the like us series that i LOVE - are these available to buy anywhere? i tried looking in the fb group but didn't see anything, theres just so many cute ones that I want!!

Luna and Donnelly for sure! And Oscar and Jack. And, it’s best to do what you need to do to help Unlucky be a success. After all, the better of a success it is the more likely you’ll be able to write books for all of the other characters readers are excited about in the future. I’m re-reading the series now & am so nostalgic over all the 90s/2000s references. I thought my sister and I were the only ones who watched It Takes Two on repeat enough to have that “World Series” line memorized. And I am no longer embarrassed over how many late nights I spent watching Blue Lagoon (well, really Blue Lagoon 2). Also, have you ever done a podcast or post somewhere with romance novel recommendations for readers?

Gah thank you for that catch!! It is a typo! We've fixed it to say "May" for Kiss the Sky and "June" for Hothouse Flower. And we're not allowed to self-pub anything during the month of an "Addicted series" trad pub release, so it has limited us in when we can release Unlucky Like Us, but it's probably an easy guess as to where it'd be 😉

We can't self-pub a novel during a trad pub release (i.e. the Addicted series rereleasing), and so there's very few places we can possibly release Unlucky Like Us. But like we said in the recap, we actually think it's better for it to release after Kiss the Sky and Hothouse Flower since those are such big books coming out in the Addicted series and we're afraid promo would be a bit hard for the Like Us series during that time.

How's comic book reading going? :D Have you guys caught onto the latest x-men tease? Of Emma being featured in the latest #5 of Iron man? The dramaaaaaaaaaaaaa. It's just cuz the main writer of X-Men Duggan (the most bland writer lol) is also writing Iron Man lol. I would wonder what Loren and lily would think of such a development! Which leads me to another question! Would LiLo/Hale family read x-men comics as they come out weekly? or would they wait for the trade paperbacks to be debuted? :O
