Weekly Recap

Happy Friday, lovelies! It's the last Friday of April, and we're a little sad to see it go. April has been a busy but fun month for us, and looking at the rest of the year kinda feels like that Donald Glover pizza meme where he walks into the room and everything is on fire. The rest of the year is going to be kind of wild with deadlines for us, so we're just hanging onto the chill April vibes as long as we can.

Outside of Patreon, we're heading into the polishing up stage of Luna and Donnelly's story and trying to make it everything we ever dreamed! We probably have another few weeks of rereads and edits for this one, but this is also the most fun part of writing where everything comes together. As we approach the release this summer, we hope to drop more teasers here on Patreon!! 💜💚

OOO A lot of the bonus scenes i crave of Lunalley are actually of them just chilling about just a lot of fluff you know? We got that at the very end of Misfits, them eating, chatting about astrology, Star Wars comics, hugging, drawing. So i think those kinda bonus scenes I look forward to from them :D. Both in books on here. They are FOR SURE the ones i re-read the most. Kinda the equivalent of wanting Marrow Bonus chapters where they are watching Batman, studying flash cards, playing with Ripley, being competitive and tackling each other to the gym ground that sorta stuff. I think the KBR Bonus Chapters i look forward to the most are the more quiet ones. I think the books is where i get the bit points of what happens in the timeline, and the bonus chapters on patreon are where the gaps are filled in. The skincare routine, the instagram live Jane debuts, the late night researches that Lily does on 'how to be a good grandma' haha. Althoughhh having said that... in line with the latest bonus scene, i guess it is EXPECTED that we see Luna watch Dune in some way right? :P Or share her love with Donnelly right? :P

SPEAKING of Luna's love for star wars comics! I just started reading them! And you are right they are so good! I didn't start with the Legends Comics yet, but i started with the Jason Aaron, Doctor Aphra and, And Vadar ones! In retrospect having read them all, do you reccomend i start here or start with the Legends guide you sent me? :D Do you read Star Wars Comics and Marvel Unlimited/DC infinite comics generally on your laptop or ipad? Do you guys ever write on your iPad for the KBR Universe? Or do you just have one of those ipad cases that fold out and no keyboard? :O I am thinking of getting and IPad mini to start reading comics on there (and it fits into my purse alongside my Kindle perfectly!) and not just my phone… even though i had the larger version of the iPhone? Any tips or tricks or recs for which model (or even which colour Ipad!) you guys rec for comic book reading i would greatly appreciate it! Super random tho i just realized :P. Anyway, happy friday! :D I have to jet off back to work and bill my hours before the end of the week. Wish me luck xxx

Donnelly tries to side-step and she bounces in front of him. Still in X formation. He goes to the left. She bounces to the left. Donnelly comes to a halt in front of Luna. They're both staring at one another for a long beat. "Hale," he says. "Donnelly; " she replies.

Ah I started with the Doctor Aphra ones that are intertwined with Luke's stuff, and I enjoyed it but I wasn't as engrossed as I am reading the very beginning Legends comics. I think it might be because I know how that story plays out, whereas I don't really know anything about the "beginning of everything/time" with Star Wars as much bc it's just not really covered in movies. So I would probably maybe try both and see which you're feeling. They're very different, I think. Never laptop. I always read them on my iPhone or iPad. I can really only read them on iPhone if I use smartpanels since it'll blow up the panel. But my iPad is kinda an older model and doesn't hold a long battery without charging, so if I forget to plug it in, then I'll switch to my iPhone. I generally read mostly on my iPad too (I love Apple Books) if I'm not reading paperbacks/hardcovers.

Tips and tricks: I actually think an iPad mini would be perfect for comic reading! I tend to not like the iPhone bc it's just not big enough for comics, but it does alright when you can read via smartpanels. But sometimes I like to switch back and forth to reading via full page. The larger iPad is kinda harder to hold for a long time, so the mini might be amazing, especially with travel! Also, I have the regular sized phone so I def think it's possible to read comics just on your phone, but only with smartpanels turned on. BUT I will say that a regular sized iPad is probably the closet thing to a page in a comic book, so if you're really used to reading comics in print only, you might enjoy this the most.

Galaxy tattoo looks different than I imagined lol. Still love it though. Thank you for Oscar and Jack marriage scene, I have been waiting for it for a while. It was so heart warming. That's Jack and Oscar's vibe I guess. I loved it. Thank you so much. Bonus scenes I would love love love to read. - Donnelly meeting Farrow in Donelley POV - Donnelly meeting Oscar - Yale era titbits specially what Donnelly did there. - Best man speech Marrow wedding, also the pre wedding part, where they are dressing up. - Luna learning how to drive with Farrow in the car. - All the tattoos sessions, Multiple tattoo sessions. I like the mundane stuff. They can be discussing movies books or food items whatever they like. - I want more pining sessions for Donnelly. Ok there are soo many but I want to see Donnelly’s POV of telling Farrow and Maximoff that they could adopt Ripley… like the convos with Scottie, driving to the lake, etc… the frat party… The Marrow wedding from Donnelly and/or Luna’s POV… Donnelly and/or Oscar’s convo after Farrow asked them to get the ring for Maximoff, like how they talk about the fact that one do them is getting married… a fun experience from Yale with the Yale Boys… having to watch Farrow run in the mountains while he ate pancakes when they first started being bodyguards… Donnelly tattooing Farrow one of the dozens of times from his POV… what led to Luna wanting to go on tour from her POV, calling Charlie to ask for help, driving there, etc… Lunnelly’s first kiss from Donnelly’s POV… Anything having to do with Donnelly and Beckett when his was his bodyguard… God, basically anything from Donnelly’s POV cause I adore that blue-eyed shameless motherfucker 😍🤟🏻💚 Ok different POV - Lo’s during the last chapter of MLU when Donnelly asks him and then his subsequent convo with Lily

I just saw your last podcast ladies I just have a question for clarification, do you plan to write the brothers love interests POV as a main or will it mostly be focused on the brother that book is about at the time and we only get like 2 chapters POV of the love interest?

I agree with what everyone has said so far (frat party, tattoos, Donnelly meeting Oscar, etc etc). I got my biggest wish to get the Scotland content. So this seems greedy but I’ll take it! ✨ Even though Donnelly coaxes Luna through their first time, I’d love to read it in his POV. Specifically, the lead up to it and his reaction to her answer to his “what do you like?” question. How fast he gets on board and executes it. A true king 🖖🏻👀🛸👽🪐✨ As for the future, how much time do you have?! Lol. Jk. Here are some scenes/POV’s I don’t know if I’ll survive without: - WAWA - Painting each other 🎨 - Luna tattooing Donnelly - Donnelly getting a “property of Luna Hale” or “if lost return to the Hales, but Hales is crossed off and Luna Hale or Farrow Redford Kean Hale are listed only 🤣). - Watching a movie at the Hale house while Donnelly’s on Xander’s detail - oh the tension! - Jam session, riding around Philly at night just the two of them (potentially under the influence)✨🚬🍺 - Luna hiding underneath Donnelly’s oversized sweatshirt. Specifically, replicating what she does herself when Moffy was in the hospital. But instead of her sweatshirt, she hides under Donnelly’s and he comforts her. Swoon! 🥺☺️ - Donnelly middle finger kissing good bye to a group leaving Luna behind but bringing the middle finger kiss to her lips and leaves. Hope that makes sense lol. Ok. That’s all for now. I’m sure there’s a million more! You’ve given us so much already that I’ve crossed off my list. I can’t thank you two enough for bringing these characters to life! I know we’re not close to the end of the Lunnelly era, but I’m not ready for it 💜🥹✨💚

Usually laziness is why I go for the digital comics vs the paperbacks 😆 Our comics are shelved in our basement, and I'm like "should I go down there or just whip open the app?" Laziness wins out! I also don't have any Star Wars comics just yet in print. But we do have all the X-Men lines I'm currently reading. Loveeee green! I usually always get colorful things, and you can always get a different outer case cover if you get sick of green.

Oscar was transferred to Winona's detail in the past, and Sinclair felt like he'd earned that spot. (Meadows' details are coveted roles among the bodyguards.) And so he instantly had beef with Oscar bc of...well, kinda jealousy over his placement on the team. The bonus THATCHER & BANKS FIRST DAY ON DUTY actually goes into more detail about this, and you see Oscar interact with Sinclair there. You also see them interact again in Charming Like Us during the Fun Run charity event 💗 Hope this helps! xoxo
