Welcome to the newest Fizz Hangout! Every Friday, you all can stop by the weekly Fizz Hangout post and ask questions (to us or to your fellow patrons), discuss recent bonus scenes and/or podcasts with each other, and catch up on all the goodies you might've missed!

HANGOUT QUESTION: we love seeing your response to questions about the Like Us series, and it helps facilitate some awesome discussions! Each week, there'll be a new "hangout question" that you can answer in the comments, if you wish!

It's Luna and Donnelly's month! In honor of these two, which would you choose to do: go to Wawa with Donnelly or go to a Guardians of the Galaxy movie with Luna?

Weekly Recap

Happy Friday, magical & super heroic beauties! We are deep, deep in deadline mode. We're trying our best to juggle everything but it's probably the most "things" we've been doing at once in a really long time. We're gearing up for Unlucky Like Us and we wish we could stay in the Luna and Donnelly world 24/7. We're just glad that as soon as ULU has released, we're diving right into Nobody Like Us. So there's not going to be much separation between the two. It's how we like it! 🤓

We hope all of you have been staying cool (or warm!) in your part of the world. We're pumped to be celebrating Lily's birthday on August 1st over at Barnes & Noble Cumberland GA. So if you're in the Georgia area (or just don't mind traveling on a Tuesday), we'd love to see you all! We couldn't pass up the opportunity to celebrate one of Lily's books releasing ON her birthday. It's definitely a once in a lifetime happening 💜

Misfits Like Us in the next restock, you will still be able to request character notes.

Unlucky Like Us won't be in the signed store until likely September. You will be able to request character notes from Luna and Donnelly for any print edition of this book.

Hi ladies, I know your still in the editing process for Unlucky like us but right now how many pages are we look Iooking at for the book,other than bigger than Misfits like us? Also I prefer the model covers but I didn't realize when the new ones came in they would be changed even if you've already purchased the ebook. So I wanted to know what cover will be on the ebook when I purchase it, and if it's the model how do I keep it like that so it doesn't change to the other version. Thanks. Also how's the living situation coming along now that there's a marriage 🙂

Hey girlies! I would DEF go to Wawas with Donnelly! I was SO jealous when you guys went and posted the wawa coffee on insta. I was like WHAT?! Wawas is a real thing?! *Gasp*. And I'm a little burnt out on MCU stuff right now... I was a bit upset that Guardians 3 had so much animal torture to bait sympathy and not enough ensamble cast family moments with the cast. We already love ROCKET why create this like... genocidal eugenic big bad? Sigh. What would YOU guys do?? :D And best of luck on the edits and deadlines! I am still in tuscany hehe just waiting for the book to drop! Did you guys feel like with such a long time (over a year due to the rereleases) to write Unlucky, you felt like you had more time to write and finesse it?

In terms of fun stuff, I , have been KNEE deep in the stormlight archive as my summer reads and omg... its become my whole personality :O. It's got this kaleidoscope summer vibe to it, with these high storms as part of the magic system which are just perfect! This is the first time i read a book WHILE reading the audiobook and it just the best experience ever. This is also the first time a read a fantasy book that has so much mental health emphasis in the character arcs. It's like *face palm* OF COURSE?! Why haven't folks done more of this?! The consequences in fantasy worlds are so big, it SHOULD have mental health awareness afterwards/during. But yeah, such amazing characters, amazing relationships, friendships, struggles and by golly, the magic system just leaves me in awe and loss for worlds. I’ve also come to realise that the reason why his work is so popular, is because of how easy it is to absorb it all. It’s the antithesis of Tolkien’s writing. There’s also one character, who is a sentient created (think like a ghost only very fluid and found in nature), her name is Syl, that reminds me so much of Luna. And it’s such a joy to see her. Very reminiscent of what tinker bell is to Peter Pan. She is bonded with the protagonist named Kaladin and helps him through the darkest times of her life with her lovely pixie girlie nature and just is such a joy to see them interact and work together. If your interested, and want to take a sneak peek to the world, I really REALLY recommend (it's not spoilery) this introduction video. NOT GOOD! Gosh, I just want them to get together so badly. I have way too many feelings about it since this is the last season. (This is Nancy Drew on the CW for those who are wondering and Nancy x Ace ship.) The first three episodes were epic! THAT KISS. One of the best kisses I've seen on a WB/CW show ever. But I have no idea where they're going because after episode three, it's the same "we have to move on" sentiment over and over with no change, and there are so few episodes remaining. I'm just hoping Ace decides to fight for her and changes his mind. I'm also pretty sad that George and Ned moved on so easily (I loved them together and was hoping for a "husband/wife" arc with them). I'm also worried that because George & Ned moved on, that the moral of the series is that "move on from your love" which Carson expressed to Nancy about his own love. Sorry for the rant lol! I'm just very invested. I adore this show so much ~ B

We believe that the ebook covers changing are dependent on the eReader you use and the updates on that device. Unlucky Like Us will have the Special Edition cover as the ebook, so sadly, you won't have that one as the model cover. But we love knowing you love the model covers though!! Right now, we're all still living together and roomies and we get along super well, but the split will likely happen next year (we think!)
