HANGOUT QUESTION: we love seeing your response to questions about the Like Us series, and it helps facilitate some awesome discussions! Each week, there'll be a new "hangout question" that you can answer in the comments, if you wish!

In honor of the new edition of THRIVE releasing on Tuesday, which cover of the new print editions of the Addicted Series is your favorite?

Happy Friday, magical & super heroic beauties! Unlucky Like Us has been out for a week now and we're still pinching ourselves! Nimasha

I think the new long way down cover is my favourite, the colour scheme makes my heart happy 💕

Allison

SKOP!!! it’s also coming out on my birthday next year which makes it so much more special!! 💕💕💕

Lindsay Hunter

SKOP is PERFECTION🌹🩷❤️🤍☺️ can’t wait to finally meet you guys on Tuesday ✨

Andrea

Even though it’s not new I loveeee the Hothouse Flower cover Can’t wait to see you guys on Tuesday!! I’m so excited!! Amazon has decided to be extra slow on the Unlucky paperback so crossing all my fingers to see if it maybe gets here on time 😅 I hope you both got some rest / a mental break now that Unlucky is out in the world 🖤

Jen

Hothouse Flower! I love the daisies on the cover 💛💚

Hailey

Fuel the Fire definitely! Also just wondering I asked this on the other fizz hangout but it was sorta late when I asked so I’m not surprised you didn’t see it, and it might be too spoilery, but in misfits Donnelly mentions that sometimes he even loves him mom after what she did, did we find out what she did in unlucky? Also Phoenix St. Pierre is such a cool name, thought I’d put that out there, I’m thinking he’s gonna be Toms love interest 🙊

Jess

Hothouse Flower Questions: Will the Sad Alien sweatshirt have the bigger sizes stocked? People keep referencing the Cobalt Brothers books? Was this validated as happening? I loved Unlucky Like Us!!!!

Teresa

I don't like the new animated covers, it makes it feel less adult and more like the books are tame when in actuality it deals with some strong subjects that you wouldnt think would be in the book from glancing at the cover. Being honest if i didnt follow you ladies for years i wouldnt have picked up a book with that kind of cover. More authors are doing there covers this way but its not my style and i was dissapointed that i couldnt get the ebook in the model cover. Iam seeing the illustrated covers more so iam trying to get used to it though i see them more for where the books are romantic comedy. I don't know if you ladies know this but in the newsletter sent out by email, you don't have the new edition for Fuel the fire on there it skips from Addicted after all to Long Way Down. Just a note for you ladies😀 Also requesting again a bonus scene where Beckett crashes in Donnelly room due to Eliot and Tom trashing there apartment

Teresa

Have you guys seen the movie Beautiful boy with Timothy Chalamet it's really good and goes deeper into the scientific problems of being a meth addict

Teresa

If you go into the Fizz hangout up in this post and click the podcasts list you'll find a podcast where they talk about it its title includes the Cobalt empire series. It's one that was released this year

kelsey

ricochet is just so beautiful to me with the delicate little flowers 🫶🏼 also, whenever a new like us book comes out i go on a manic two week reread of all the like us books for reasons i attribute to adhd lol but anyway i just need to say there’s something so personal about banks being a bean stalk, sulli being a string bean, and the kitsuletti baby being a bean sprout 🌱 akara needs a bean-related name to complete the set and then i can rest easy haha. congrats on a fantastic release!! absolutely no notes on ULU bc every single page was perfection. not a single flaw ✨🫶🏼💓

shi luvs st.cobalt

I **adore** the tagline that’s on the new SKOP cover (🥹)! Just looking at it makes me feel all of those bittersweet emotions all over again (😭🤎)! I was also wondering if you had seen the pictures that the Big Brother Instagram account has been posting teasing the theme for this upcoming season (👀)? It looks like the house might be comics themed this year (which is exciting) ~~

Amalia Maragoto

I think my favorite covers overall are the “people” covers with the black and white lily and lo. And the colorful calloway sisters covers. It just takes me back to the OG times. (Which is ironic cuz i didn’t even know this edition existed until like a year ago) Now I’m trying to finish my collection of B/W covers so if anyone has the 3-5 books lemme know 😁😁 Bu of the new ones definitely gotta be between, addicted for now, fuel the fire, and long way down. those 3 cover i feel like had a bit of a makeover in a way and i love it. Ps. I aslo love the OG or else i wouldn’t own them 😁😁

Arrow

It’s a tie between Fuel the Fire and SKOP. I especially like how well the SKOP cover fits in with the rest of the series now. My favorites overall are the special edition like us covers. I just love the pastels and the art on them. I also like how you’ve moved away from models. The model covers always just mess with how I see characters in my head (although I also like your Pinterest boards, so I’m a bit of a contradiction there - maybe because I don’t have to look at them while reading). Questions on the character notes: I’m a newer reader, so I’ve thought about purchasing all the like us books with character notes, but it looks like only Misfits and ULU will have them. Is this correct or can you get them for all of the like us series special editions? If not, will the character note versions return to the store at some point?

Annette

The covers with people on it are my favs. The illustrated covers seen too juvenile for the depth of these stories

a

recently finished unlucky like us and it’s seriously the best book in the series in my opinion!!😍🔥 Some bonus scenes i hope you could write🙏🏼: (no spoilers) Los POV of chap 7 Thatcher POV of chap 9 & Connor or Rose POV of the aftermath Lo & Lily POV of the aftermath of chap 20 (all the core six POVs of this would be great too🙏🏼) Moffy POV of chap 21 (when Farrow tells him about … ) & his pov of the aftermath Thatcher POV of his news in chap 39 Moffy or Farrow POV of chap 45

cass (ben’s version)

i was OBSESSED with these books a couple years ago. all 3 were an amazing read, and even the informational books nic and david wrote together were amazing. i’d also recommend nic’s fiction book “schizo” it’s so good!!!

Brianna

Didnt see the post last night but definitely SKOP because the representation with the flowers i just love it sm (side note: luna would be loving this news with the hearing about aliens being real)

Kelly.

Can someone tell me where I would find the ULU playlist?

Kelly.

Thank you!

Natalie 👽🤍

Oh gosh this is hard. Probably Fuel the Fire 🔥 Rose and Connor are unmatched

Teresa

Hi ladies I just listened to the Unlucky like us playlist podcast, and saw u weren't planning to open a post for questions for the all about Unlucky like us podcast, I hope you reconsider. You can have it open for only 24 hours or even less , then close it so you don't have to answer a million questions.

Krista & Becca Ritchie

We're hesitant to answer too much backstory/fill in the blanks on Donnelly until after Nobody Like Us, since there's one book left and more story to tell 😊

Krista & Becca Ritchie

Good questions! The Sad Alien design is our merch on Threadless, and we're limited to whatever sizes Threadless sells. So unless they offer larger sizes, that's what's available. In podcasts, we've hinted at kick-starting a new romance series with the Cobalt fam at the forefront, and it'd likely be titled Cobalt Empire. But we haven't confirmed when this is happening or whose romance will be first. Thank you so, so much for reading Unlucky Like Us, Jessica!!! xoxo

Krista & Becca Ritchie

We totally understand different readers have different cover preferences. We know in the same sense there are readers who wouldn't pick up the model covers and would only pick up the illustrated ones, so it's always a hard decision to decide which to lead with, but we love that both options do exist ☺️

Krista & Becca Ritchie

Yes! We've seen that one! We actually watched that one around the same time we watched Ben is Back, which is very similar in themes regarding a parent dealing with their child facing addiction, and we really loved Ben is Back a bit more!! It's great if you haven't seen it yet. Julia Roberts is the lead.

Krista & Becca Ritchie

Aw I love those Kitsuletti beans! I feel like even though Akara doesn't have a bean nickname, it's almost like they're HIS beans lol ☺️ Thank you so, so much for reading Unlucky Like Us!! ~ B

Krista & Becca Ritchie

Hi Erin!! Thank you so much for being a patron and reading the books!!! So you can only get character notes for the newest release, not including rereleases, so that means only Luna & Donnelly character notes. Since Unlucky Like Us just came out, that's really the only one you can get now with character notes. We're working on adding bookplate character note add-ons for novels in the Addicted Series, and we could likely do this in the future for the Like Us Series, but right now, we just have the newest release option, which is Unlucky Like Us xoxo

Krista & Becca Ritchie

Thank you so, so much for reading it!! Taking notes of these bonus scene options ;)

Arrow

Great! Thank you. Excited to order this.
