Updated feelings about Challenge USA + Big Brother (which we discuss on the pod), I actually would suggest watching Challenge USA now, since the finale is 100% satisfying. So overall, it's a rec and not a miss! And Big Bro, I think I would've said my favs on the pod were America & Cory, but it sort of feels like they're doomed. But they are my overall favs for the whole season. ~ B

I thought this episode sounded great - the audio was crisp & the volume was perfect - so this software gets a thumbs up from me! :) — ☆ — I’m not a big TV / movie person - I tend to just keep up with reality competition shows - but I always love watching these episodes & getting recommendations from you guys! :) I started “Gen V” the other day & I’m only on episode two, but I’m enjoying it so far! I’ve seen some edits on TikTok that feature one of the romantic pairings & I’m excited to see that develop! I also **love** the casting for Jordan - the casting director knocked that one out of the park imo. I want to start “The Bear” soon because I’ve heard nothing but great things about it & I’ve also seen a lot of edits for “Harlan Coben’s Shelter” on Amazon Prime, so that one is on my list as well! I’m also looking forward to the upcoming season of The Challenge! It’s so exciting that we’re guaranteed to have a new winner this season & I’m excited to see Cara Maria’s return to the show (even if it is just to participate in an elimination)!

Ha! I also stopped watching One Piece half way through because I thought it was for kids. Now I’ll have to return to it. I LOVE Fall of the House of Usher. I kept thinking of Eliot the whole time I watched it. I’m definitely going to re-watch it a lot (FYI - I’ve also re-watched Haunting of Hill House A LOT)

His name is Jeremiah but Belly's friend Taylor always calls him Jeremy to be funny, so it makes perfect sense why you thought his name was Jeremy! 😂 Love this podcast, btw. So fun!

I'm SOOOO glad you liked One Piece! What an amazing surprise! One Piece is an interesting one, because its got an anime but the anime is based off of the Manga series by the legendary Eiichiro Oda and it is still ongoing! But the manga and the anime are equally celebrated. I have only ever read the manga tho. And yes ur not wrong in thinking first its aimed at kids, but it's actually done on purpose! It's part of the subgenre called 'fantasy absurdism'. Other fellow series in this subgenre alongside OP are Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and Sir Terry Prachett's Discworld for example! But once you get passed the meeting and bonding of the characters, really get deep with the backstory of each and visit the most insane places, the twists and emotional depths that are subverted by absurdist humor, it hits you like nothing else! They say if there is a topic in the world that is pressing or a musing that hits pop culture, it's GONNA be invested in the manga! And it does! I haven't watched the adaptations because like i've made it know i'm some what of a book purist (🤭) and didn't enjoy the casting liberties they took. but i have been reading OP since i was a kid! Hence why it felt totally chill to dive into ur comic guide all that time ago! I think a year or so ago i even asked given Farrow's penchent for pirates, if he would have read or watches the One Piece (i say watches because its still ongoing!) and i wonder if you have changed your mind since then! Your answer was that he was just into the aesthetic not necessarily any stories in particular. IDK anything about the anime side of things but i can speak on the book series and reassure there ARE romances that happen ! But it is explored more down the line then at the beginning.

Same in regards to Loki 😭 I feel like I’m only watching for the Loki crumbs at this point. The last episode was so chaotic in the most boring way I was like what is even going on here, and then none of it really mattered by the end of the episode? Totally agree the stakes are very unclear, and not personal at all.
