Happy Friday, magical & heroic beauties!! We are officially in the last month of the year.  2023 has gone by simultaneously so slow and yet so fast. Was it really March that the new print edition of Addicted for Now came out? July when Unlucky Like Us released? That all feels so far away! And yet next month Nobody Like Us will here. It's going to bittersweet, but we are ready!

This month there's going to be SO much going down. We'll have the "What to Expect in Nobody Like Us" podcast, and you'll finally learn what's next for the Hales, Meadows, and Cobalts in our big announcement. Will we reveal the next book title? Why yes, yes we will 😊  PLUS, the new edition of Fuel the Fire is releasing next week, and this is one cover that got some of the most changes from the indie edition. So if you want the fiery gold leaves, it'll be available on Tuesday!

In Patreon world, we finished up the month with two new bonuses. So in case you missed it, here's what went down:

Announcement: We'll be revealing the release date + pre-order for Nobody Like Us. If you read on Apple Books or Kobo, it'll be available on those sites, but a few days after the release, it'll go to Kindle Unlimited. (We're still working on the covers, so we might hold off on revealing them until early January.)

The character notes for the hardcovers vs. paperbacks are different in the store for every book/series, etc. So if you purchase a Bad Rep hardcover with the add-on, it'll be different from the paperback character note. For the promo this month (December), you do not need to add-on the character note for the hardcover. It will come with the book for FREE woot woot!! (Just to note: it's not a special holiday character note. It's the same one you'd receive if you were to purchase the add-on during any regular month.)

also yay FTF rerelease!!! it’s tied as my favorite core 6 book and the indie cover of it was the first ever copy of y’all’s books i ever bought. i got it signed and filmed myself opening it. this all feels so full circle to me UGH i am so excited for this month

i have four holiday reads planned, and i may have jumped the gun and already read two of them lol. i just got too excited! I’ve read the christmas fix by lucy score and lovelight farms by b.k. borison. lovelight farms was SUCH a delight and it honestly ranks with my favorite books of the entire year 🫶🏼 the other two on my list are wreck the halls by tessa bailey and with love from a cold world by alicia thompson, and i’m excited to start them! and y’all have so many fun announcements this time around, i can’t believe it’s almost time for nobody like us!! time is flying by!!

The only “holiday”/seasonal books that I plan on reading are Icebreaker and Wildfire for the hockey and fall-ish winter vibes. I’m hoping to pick up Never when it releases! And then just fantasy books 💙

I’m not a big holiday reader. I have only found a couple that I really like. I have a question. It may be a dumb one, but if I preorder NLU on my Kindle will it be available right away? I want a copy to keep forever on my kindle. I am so excited about all the goodies coming this month. I really enjoy this space ladies!

So excited for this month! And I loved all of the content you shared last month. The Yale boys bonuses are great teases for NLU and have me very excited for the book release (I’m definitely pre-ordering it!) For holiday romances, Alice Cochrun’s Kiss Her Once for Me has been on my TBR for a while. I’ll also probably just surf Kindle Unlimited for a bunch (I tend to do this every year). But right now I’m in Hallmark movie land! I really like their movies with former Mean Girls cast members (i.e., Lacey Chabert and Jonathan Bennett)

I never really read like holiday books but this year Ive saved Wreck the Halls by Tessa Bailey. I'm going to start reading it this week to get in the Christmas spirit. I'm also hoping to finish my reread of the core 8 books so I can start reading the like us series for the first time. I feel like I'm finally ready to let go of this version of the core 8 and meet them again in their older versions.

Question ladies from the last bonus Homesick at Yale, it was mentioned by O'Malley in the first books maybe Jane/Thatcher books that he had sex for for money and I thought it was mentioned in Misfits like us with the talk between Colin and Donnelly. So was that not the first time from in Yale. Also , so happy I was right that the mom was a red head!!

I’m in the midst of an SJM reread in preparation for her upcoming release, so I have no holiday reads planned for this year (unfortunately). :( I am excited for “Snowed In” by Catherine Walsh, though, but I’m not sure when I’ll get around to reading it! There are so many fun things coming these next couple of months! I am attempting to manage all of this bubbling excitement so that I can still be a functioning human being throughout these next two months, but I’m not sure how well it’s working lol (🙈). While everything that’s coming is exciting, it does seem like quite a bit to juggle all at once, so I hope that you guys are doing well & taking some time for yourselves amidst all of these upcoming projects! 🤎 —— I was also wondering if you have been keeping up with the current season of The Challenge (👀)? If so, what are your thoughts/feelings on it? I was excited when the theme was announced, but this season has fallen a bit flat for me so far? Seeing the champions show up as mercenaries during the eliminations has added a bit of flare, though, and I am excited for Cara Maria’s return to the show! Do you guys have any favorite players that you root for each time that they appear? :)

I cannot believe that NLU comes out next month!! I had a baby back in October and the rest of the year has just flown by!! I am so excited for the teasers and the podcast!! I don't really have a holiday romance that I want to read right now, I've been reading The Fourth Wing! Top of my TBR list is House of Flame and Shadow by Sarah J Maas that comes out next month, too!

I think her name was Aleja Carmona(? I am not sure!) but she closed her acc I believe. I sometimes cast Roxanne for my pinterest as Dina Denoire even though Dina is not latina. Sometimes Maria Isabel she is Latina!

It's also VERY prominent in the Bodyguard Shake-Up bonus where O'Malley alludes to this. So at this point, you do know that many of the bodyguards from Philly, specifically South Philly, know he's turned tricks -- as well as people in Donnelly's family (but as Donnelly has mentioned in Part One - Homesick at Yale bonus, he told his dad what he did). You'll learn everything in Nobody Like Us so we can't say much more without spoiling 😉

It is a ton to juggle, but we're managing pretty good at the moment (hopefully we don't break our stride! *cue the "nothing's gonna break my stride" song lol*) Thank you for the well thoughts! Means a lot to us 🥹 OMG THE CHALLENGE! We have thoughts. For one, Krista has given up on this season, and I can't remember the last time she's EVER quit a season. I'm still interested, but I 100% agree that the only interesting part is seeing the mercenaries. The champs are just a whole 'nother level, and every time they come in, I'm reminded why they ARE the challenge. Without them, it's just not as dynamic. And we're so pumped for Cara Maria! She's been one our favorites since her first appearance in Fresh Meat, and she's the main reason I'm holding out on continuing the season. We tend to change who we root for, depending who else is cast with them and if they're aligned with ppl we root against. But some years we do root for Bananas (usually we're against him). We ALWAYS root for Wes. We love Jordan, but typically, we flip-flop on whether we're rooting for him bc he's rarely the underdog, and there are some underdogs we love. Like Kyle. I really miss not having Kyle in the show. And we've loved Cara, but there are some seasons where weren't totally on her side. We actually really like Paulie as well bc he brings a really good dose of drama. And I am always, always, always rooting against Fessy. Idk why but his downfall is just the most satisfying every season. I also love Big T, KellyAnne (her talking heads are amazing), Jonna (her whole story arc makes me tear up), and CT (back in the day; nowadays, i feel like he's thrown into eliminations so infrequently that the seasons feel too easy for him). I also LOVE the Young Bucks! There arc was so good, but I don't know if they'll ever be back on together because Nelly was in a really bad car accident, sadly. What about you? Who are your favs?

I agree with everything that you mentioned! Jordan coming in and approaching the elimination like a champion would really showcased what’s missing this season (imo). I change who I’m rooting for depending on the dynamics of the season as well! :) I hope that Kyle returns soon (if he would want to). I know that he has a baby now, so I’m not sure if he would want to be away from him for an extended period of time, but I do miss what he brought to the show! :( I completely understand your feelings regarding Fessy. Every season that he’s on I’m just waiting until he’s kicked off, to be honest. I’m not a fan of the way that he treats the people that he’s aligned with, and he comes across as being incredibly arrogant, even though he doesn’t have much to show for it? I think he mentioned in one of the recent seasons that he was trying to change (which I hope he does), but then he still went on to treat Moriah poorly on Ride or Dies? I am so glad that you love Big T! I’m rooting for her this season! She’s constantly underestimated, and I hope that she gets to prove everyone that’s ever doubted her wrong, and take the crown when everything is said and done. 🤞🤞 I was looking forward to seeing how Olivia and Horacio would do this season because their run was cut short last time, but I don’t really care for them this time around? I don’t dislike them, I think this season is just a bit dull and there are very few challengers that stand out enough to encourage me to root for them (if that makes sense)? I love all of the challengers that you mentioned! You have excellent taste! 🤌
