Happy Friday, magical & heroic beauties!! It's been a full-on writing week for us as we head into the final bits of Nobody Like Us. The end is near, and editing is in full swing! We tend to edit as we write, so it's hard to say which "draft" we're on. But it feels almost like the final--though we will be doing MANY re-reads for this one since it's such a large book. Like we said last week, we really want to make sure we have everything in it that we've dreamed up!

We hope you all loved the big news that we dropped this afternoon! We've been keeping it in for so long that it feels amazing to have everyone officially know what's next in store for these families. And we LOVED seeing all of your theories and reactions! Next week is going to be a BIG week as we start Teaser Tuesday drops. We're super pumped for all of you to get more teases for NLU.

Hello !! 🩷 I am **shaking** over the First Look post !!! Words cannot describe how devastatingly excited I am for NLU **and** the Cobalt Empire series 🥳🥳💙💙!!! I’m so torn!! I think the first book will have either Tom or Eliot being the main Cobalt !! 🥹🫶🏻 As we get closer to January I’ve been thinking more and more about NLU and I’m so excited to start my reread of MLU + ULU !! 🥹🫶🏻 I’ve been wondering about some of the side characters !! Since Roxanne is making an appearance in NLU (which I’m so, so excited for !! 😭🩷) I was wondering is Phoenix could potentially make an appearance as well?? Phoenix is a side character that I think about pretty often (🙈) especially since we got the scene of the troublemakers talking about him in ULU. I was wondering if Phoenix St.Pierre is a stage name?? It’s so cool and unique that I was wondering if his name was actually that cool, or if he picked it as his stage name?? Thank you !! 🩷🩷

I’m thinking Charlie or Beckett because they’re the oldest. But I also wouldn’t be surprised if you went a different route, from the usual age order, with Eliot or Tom! And make us wait for Charlie at the end 😂 the anticipation. But we also know Charlie’s love interest so. . . I’m just excited to get back to these characters and this world as a whole. I miss everyone! 💙

as a ben girl, i was hoping for it to be ben. especially because i feel the calloway couture bonus scene really set it up, along with a few other things. the title made me think different and that maybe it was about someone else, and i am definitely not mad about it. i’ve been thinking super into it and based off the title alone, my guess it eliot. this theory could also be backed up by him possibly having more time in NLU and his story being introduced there. i think my second guess is charlie, since he has the most strained relationship with ben, and that ties back into my theory of ben having been slightly set up. either way, im SO excited and absolutely can’t wait 🫶🫶🫶

i hope it's either beckett or charlie, one because they're the oldest and most importantly, because their romances have more buildup than any of the other brothers, and also! bc if we get beckett's pov we'll see a lot of ballet and roxanne 👀 but if we get charlie we'll also see a ton of beckett and leo through roxanne's pov! but anyway i'm excited for whoever it is🥺💙

I think the main POV will either be Eliot or Tom! :) Will you be confirming the main POV character’s love interest at the end of NLU as well? Or is that something that will be obvious once we finish the book? 👀

i think eliot will be first. then beckett. i think charlie will be more of like in the middle of the series, he is too mysterious still. all of the cobalts are but especially him, it will interesting to see him from his brothers POVs first. and the i just dont think tom or ben (or audrey?) are ready for their romances yet. my guess is: 1. eliot 2. beckett 3. charlie 4. tom 5. ben 6. audrey???

If it turns out to be Charlie I would probably pass out🤣🤣 I know your still in the planning stages of the cobalt empire series but I wanted to know if you can answer this, is Jane an option to get another book ? And most importantly will the cobalts love interests get a POV?? I really hope so as that is something I've been looking forward to , to be in the heads of characters like Roxanne and Joanna. If you don't know yet I understand. Thanks!! You guys are in my top obsession of book authors, I truly appreciate all the hard work you ladies put in and I can't wait for NLU but iam most excited for the Webs we weave series is my most anticipated book for 2024

I may be delusional but I think it’s either Beckett (a secret romance between Joana everyone thinks they hate each but they are hooking up secretly) or maybe Charlie starts the series first and he is the main pov since he’s the most mysterious compared to other characters, so there’s so much of his story to be unfolded .

We haven't made an decisions about future POVs for the Cobalt Empire series. We're keeping our options open though -- so this will likely come down to where we see the series going after writing Book 1.

We do have a non-compete clause (meaning we can't publish too close to our trad books), so we have certain "windows" where we can self-pub. So there's only so many options for Burn Bright to come out 😅. But we're not going to reveal the date until much closer to the release in case the trad dates shift and would therefore shift our windows. Also, carmine_dream is correct in that we can't self-publish during a re-release month, so we won't have any self-pubs Feb or March since Long Way Down and Some Kind of Perfect print editions are coming out.
