Weekly Recap

Happy Friday, magical & heroic beauties!! Wow wow wow. We are only 1 week away from Nobody Like Us being out in the world. It's surreal. For some reason, it feels like Unlucky Like Us just came out. Time is moving by soooo fast. We're not ready to say goodbye 😭 We truly are so happy we have Patreon so that we can revisit these characters during the Like Us timeline. But there is something super bittersweet about this being the last book. 

It's also a very large book. We know we've mentioned that before, but we just want to prepare all of you. This book is closer in size to Some Kind of Perfect than it is to Long Way Down. It is essentially two-books-in-one. Unless you're a speed reader, we don't even think this can be read in one sitting 😅 We didn't want to hold back since it is the last book. We truly gave this one our all and more 💗

And just a reminder, you all will be getting the first chapter early. So that will be coming next week! ✨

Our shipment for the Unlucky Like Us glossy paperbacks have finally arrived to us! These will likely be up on the store sometime next week. We're going to extend the ability to get character notes in these, so have no fear! You'll still have a chance to request character notes in the novel before they become bookplate add-ons.

Oh I just got so nervous (in the best way). I’m a little ball of excitement and can’t wait to get my hands on Nobody Like Us 😩 Took the day off from work, nothing is getting in the way of me & this book 🙌🏼 It’s truly a pendulum of emotions. I want to see those small moments between Lunnelly, those little things that help develop their relationship and show us just how much they are truly meant to be together 😍🥹 I also can’t wait to see how everything plays out with Donnelly’s family, FINALLY seeing Donnelly attending a Hale family dinner, how the whole Epsilon thing is going to play out, how Donnelly’s mom fit into the equation, who the hell died, who’s sending those texts, figuring out Luna’s amnesia and what it means for her, more of the Yale Boys and the Troublemakers, and just a lot more of the Hales, Meadows, and Cobalts as we say goodbye to Like Us and prepare for Cobalt Empire!!! I CANNOT WAIT for this book next week and the fact that it’s almost SKOP in size is so thrilling and exciting because that means more possibilities and drawing this series out as long as is possible! I never want it to end but finally getting all of Lunnelly will be epic and beautiful!! Counting down the days until this book graces my life with its otherworldly presence 💚👽🤟🏻

I’m excited to find out who died, I have my suspicions but feel it would be too easy and you ladies usually throw us a curveball. I’m hoping for interaction between Sully and Luna. I don’t think we saw her at all in the last book. But what I think I’m most excited for and to see this wrapped up nicely with all the characters. SKOP was written so beautifully for the Addicted characters, I expect the same for the Like Us characters! I refuse to flip to the end to see which Cobalt is the first, I’m reeeallly hoping I don’t cave!!

two books in one??? you really love us 😭 i am excited about way too many things but if i have to narrow it down, i’m hyped for lo/donnelly banter, seeing what luna does with her writing, and just REALLY seeing lunnelly falling in love for the second time!! i need ALL the details 🫶🏼 also, i got my eternal embers box in the mail the other day and charming like us is so freaking CUTE!!!! i’m dying over it and i can’t wait to get bed rep in the mail. so so happy these books are getting the fancy, pretty special editions they deserve!

I think I’m most excited that it’s such a chunky book 🤭 I feel like I can really immerse myself in them, especially any one that’s been written by you guys! I’m excited to see where the cliffhanger picks up and how the story concludes!! I feel like there’s still so much character development for several characters so I’m looking forward to see how it unfolds. And of course who the first brother will be featured in the Cobalt Empire series :)

Everytime you mention how long it is I get so excited! I’m just thrilled to be able to read more about all the Like Us characters and to seeing how much they’ve grown through the series. I also cannot wait for more Farrow/Donnelly and Yale boys moments! And hopefully more moments with the Like Us characters and their kids. But I am most looking forward to Lunnelly’s HEA!

I really really hope there's a proper mention of Thatcher's mental health/PTSD recovery journey. I feel like the leaking of Skylar's death got brushed aside because of the famous one's problems and none of them seem to realise that his PTSD began when he pulled his dead brother from the quarry. But of course, I can't wait to read more Donnelly. He's a great character [ps, sorry for any bluntness = autism ftw]

Oh gosh, there’s so much I’d like to read in NLO. Most of them already mentioned by others. Like lots and lots of lunnelly fluff, lunnelly dancing, becket and Joanna, Donnelly’s mother, how o‘malley fits into Donnelly’s past, Christmas with all the baby’s in the lake house, the friendship of sully and Luna revived. And xanders birthday which we missed for years, need that! But also, I really hope to see a peek of Roxanne and Charlie, plus I really want to know is Roxanne is the one Becket was asked to vouch for, from Vegas. Is Roxanne the daughter of one of our Vegas love couples? Which one?!! I don’t know if this is mentioned in some podcast in the past, for I haven’t listened to all of them. I’m very excited to know if we’ll see the Vegas couples maybe appearing in the cobalt empire books, if Roxanne is indeed from Vegas!

I’m so excited! I can’t believe that NLU is almost here (🥹)! It does feel as though ULU was just released, but 6 months in between releases is such a short amount of time (and an amazing feat on your part imo, especially considering everything that you’ve both been juggling)! I’m used to waiting at least a year or so for most things, so that’s probably another reason why the release dates feel so close to me. Hearing that NLU is a true ~ chunk monster ~ fills me with so much joy! I love long books and I’m so excited to see everyone again! :) I’m most excited to read about all of the characters just being together! I *adore* group scenes where characters are just bouncing off of one another & interacting (so I am ecstatic about the fact that we’re going to be spending Christmas at the Lake House in NLU ☃️)! It's 100% a wrap-up of Lunnelly and about 50% closure of the other romances who've had POVs (an exception would prob be Kitsulletti who already had an extended time jump POV in Infamous). We left a lot of room for them to have proper closure when we write People Like Us, with the possibility of writing epilogues for them in their own POVs as well.
