This is a really interesting Podcast. I’ve been reading romance for so long, I’ve always been curious about how “the sausage is made,” especially because things have changed so dramatically since I first started reading the genre. It is also so so so true that one book making it big can completely alter the genre. In addition to Colleen Hoover, I feel like Sarah J. Maas did this for romantasy and Casey McQuiston did this for queer romance. I specifically how hard it even was to find any queer romance books in bookstores before McQuiston’s Red, White, and Royal Blue made it big. I have such a soft spot for this book because of that to this day. Also, I am a very fast super reader & it is entirely true that if I find a book I love I will immediately read everything similar to it once I finish reading it. I’ve found so many good authors doing that.

I loved this podcast, it’s always so interesting to hear the behind the scenes stuff. You guys should definitely ask for two mics though in future panels, it seems so sad that the audience wouldn’t get to see how you guys play off of each other because that seems so integral to your dynamic! Also so glad you mentioned Frodo, I don’t have instagram and I was totally wondering what was happening with him and how you guys came to the decision
