Oh, it's slang for people from Newcastle! I'm trying to think of who would be the most famous person with the accent would be - within the UK it'd be light entertainment stalwarts Ant and Dec, outside maybe Sting? If you've ever seen the film Children of Men, the terrifying white dread there is a classic example! (I'm sure that it wasn't a specific accent you were going for, so much as "generic North England" - it's just nice to see dwarves that aren't Scottish for a change!)

I'm by no means an expert on dialects. I was just writing it the way I was hearing it in my head. Not sure where it's supposed to originate from, but that's fine since it's a fantasy world anyway. I just wanted it to be a heavily accented version of whatever the common tongue is in this world.

She wasn't practicing her faith, just having a good time. The modern perception of Mother Ephion isn't really one of open love, so this wasn't any kind of divine act. Just general horniness on her part.
