Keep tabs on my twitter for updates

Things have been topsy turvy this week with policy updates on multiple platforms and I'm so, so tired with all the changes in social media etc. I'm hoping things will be able to continue as normal but I'll be making some back ups and ideally my own web page so I can have some form of consistency.

At least this will get me off my arse to update my branding given that Panspermia ended over a year ago oops.

Chumlee99

just spit balling here, but is there another round of anti-kink crack downs going around?

Mabuse7

If you don't already know, back in December Patreon updated their content policy to specifically ban feederism and pro-ana content and they've started to enforce it.

Chumlee99

I'm getting so sick of this new age internet puritanism that wants to make us all miserable.

hypershock18

I dislike this because aside from obvious reasons, it feeos like they don't want specific people on patreon either creators or patrons. This will lead to a lot of creators leaving the site. It also feels like a double standard, why just Feedism, why not BDSM material or furry stuff?

hypershock18

Yeah porn is one of the major uses of the internet and without that, I'm sure a lot of people would be off patreon and deviantart. Banning specific types of porn will mean a lot less people on your platform.

Chumlee99

I'm trying to phrase my words really carefully as to not cause harm but it really does feel like there is this weird mutli-layered hypocrisy sandwich in regards to sex, kinks, and fetishes, that we've gone from the 1970s-2000s of people starting to open up and admit that certain things just are and finally becoming comfortable in their own skins because they had safe spaces online but they can still separate the real world from the internet world but then came the 2010s and the rise of internet puritan culture and all the extremists from all directions declaring all sexual anything of any kind is bad and all of you better get back in the closet because you're a bad person who discovered a new side of themselves because it's not on the approved list by the internet puritans. And even more so now in the 2020s it feels like we've gone right back to the 1950s and a bunch of people wagging the finger saying, you should be ashamed for acknowledging sex, kinks, and more exits. thank you for coming to my Ted^3 talk

Chumlee99

I checked, pro-anorexia and its cousin pro-bulimia Which is one of the many many hypocritical ironies that we see all these people demanding fat positivity and fat acceptance but the idea of fat fetish is a bridge too far for everyone

Chumlee99

Cause they saw the way Tumblr imploded like the Hindenburg in their purge of adult content and thought, hold my beer

SarcasticObserver1

Furries got enough $$$ to pay around it. Don't believe just count how many conventions they can afford to fund around the world

CleverName

I see why they might want to curtail content that is harmful to a creator’s health. I really do. But this content is both illustrated and clearly fantastical. I see no reason it needs to be policed.

Chumlee99

well then, obviously we must put aside our differences long enough for an alliance with furries and some of the other popular fetishes to take back our internet from the internet puritans

Chumlee99

What drives us all up a wall is they claim they're doing this in the name of health, the children, etc, etc etc, but they always make it so vague on purpose that they intentionally leave giant holes open for certain things to get a pass while dropping the hammer on everyone else

Opik Oort Expansion Comics

couldn't have said it better than with your tedtalk. Puritanism is so detrimental, has no end point, and really just makes everyone suffer. It's not always just about sex either, I know so many people who found acceptance in off-beat communities. And for me it was working on Panspermia that finally had me like, woah I am actually hella dysphoric maybe I should do something about that.

hypershock18

I also want to make sure that the internet puritans mentioned are real people and not just an imaginary enemy designed to enrage us. I doubt it's one movement, but rather groups of people who are upset at porn/certain types of porn. Vagueness is how they flourish, when you jist say something is offensive and not give detailed reasons why to ban it, they get away with stuff like this.

hypershock18

With protecting children, a time honored tactic to justify censorship. That children shouldn't see sex and violence. Or that TV/the internet should be a babysitter and if your kids see violence/sex it's TV/the internet's fault and not your own for allowing your kid access to this content in the first place. Groups like this probably assume that millions of children every day use this site to look at porn and artists are bad for exposing porn to young kids. Even though there are blocks that keep people from looking at art for free. Even if they did bypass it, it's not something that can be done with ease and it's likely a small number of kids. Again these groups will exaggerate how many kids are on this site or take the small number as an excuse for censorship. Rather than monitor what your kid looks at or accept that some stuff isn't for kids.

Chumlee99

I could attempt to post a long essay while trying to avoid certain minefields, so instead I will say, Yes these people are real and out there but it's like a giant multiheaded Hydra in which none of the heads realize they're all part of the same body because it's old cliches like religious conservatives who've been the villains of God knows how many 1980s teen movies to incels to 4chan to politicians to new groups like radical feminists who think if a woman made a fetish comic about her becoming a giant blueberry for her lover that's serving the patriarchy to this new generation who has no interest in sex and wants less of it to ignorant doofuses who lump all sex, fetishes, and what have you all into the same group because all sex bad to and I'm using America as the prime example, people still treat sex as taboo and so demand no sex education or ways for people to learn about it all safely and healthy and so get so much information to yet again we're back in the era of girls and women need to feel ashamed about their bodies and if they enjoy the idea of sex or fetishes they're a bad person and that boys and men who do likewise are all disgusting perverts lurking in back alleys

SarcasticObserver1

I rekon is more of their algorithm that's going through everything with a fine tooth comb from a list of key words they have put up and tagging what fits the bill and then removing it according to what the algorithm brought up

Chumlee99

Personally if I could I would hire an army of hackers to go after the politicians and elites who are pushing all this stuff to expose what kinks and sex stuff they’re looking at online. We discover who likes fat and blueberry inflation

SarcasticObserver1

I think most of them are into much more graphic stuff

hypershock18

I also figured this is a dislike towards feederism. That Bpdy Positivity is okay because it's women embracing what they already have. Feederism is bad because someone is deliberately gaining weight and willingly eating unhealthy amounts of food to get fatter. In our diet obssessed culture wanting to become fat or embrace fatness is crazy. We're told that attractive bodies are thin, ripped and we must always be on a diet. Food is bad because it makes us fat and have diabetes and heart attacks. The image of feeders in mainstream media also isn't positive. We are seen as abusive boyfriends who manipulate our partners into adopting unhealthy behaviors so they can be worthy of our love. They are also likely are horrified when they read WG fiction where people embrace being bedbound and eating themselves to be that fat. A lot of obesity documentaries often focus on bedbound people. How it's horrifying that their fat has distorted them, how they're prisoners in their own homes. How they have a myriad of health problems. Our WG fiction where immobility is desirable is likely deplorable to these people. That we eroticize horrific scenarios like this and wish it on ourselves or our partners. Just the people of this site being horrified that people want to become fat and embrace immobility. That we find the scare stories in obesity documentaries to be sexy is disgusting to these people. They ignore that most of us wouldn't dare enact that in the real world. We may write and get off on bedbound partners and people getting fatter and fatter but I doubt most of us would take it to such extremes. There's loads of porn with messed up scenarios, but odds are most of the time, it's a fantasy. Like how BDSM people have stuff where people are tied up, kidnapped and abused but they wouldn't want any of that to happen to them in real life.

hypershock18

I thought our views about bodies and food would be major factors towards their dislike to feederism.

SarcasticObserver1

I feel like the last remaining strong hold against these burgess is discord

Chumlee99

Which is semi ironic considering how many billions a year are spent on advertising telling us to eat and drink.

SarcasticObserver1

I know softcore went through same thing last year on Twitter

SarcasticObserver1

I hear subscribestar is better and dosent take a massive cut from creators unlike patreon

hypershock18

This is a paradox, on one hand, we are sold unhealthy junk food and then told we have to be thin and eat healthy and when we are fat, it's bad, how dare we be gluttonous piggies stuffing our faces? How dare we buy the things companies want us to buy and suffer effects from it? Do they want us to meet their ideal standard of beauty or buy the food they sell?

Chumlee99

Side note: now all I can see in the Wacky Candy verse is a bunch of ads with models but they’re all enormously fat, fatter than fat, like in the next arc Katie is waddling by a billboard and we see three gargantuan ladies all saying “Wacky Candy, makes taste paradise”

SarcasticObserver1

Remember a year ago OF was gonna do the same thing and they had so much back lash from that they'd backed out of it

Chumlee99

I remember that and it was like, do you people not understand your own company and why it’s profitable?

Supercake Studio

Thanks for the heads up on this - it affects my site too and I never even heard it was happening. I think we're all just going to have to go back to using web sites again.

hypershock18

Like if DeviantArt said, "We don't want any porn including nudes or sexy pin-ups?" They will lose a lot of creators in the process. We may joke about the internet being 90% porn but that is important for a lot of sites and without that porn, they'll probably see a lot less traffic and people using said sites.

Chumlee99

Seriously. If DeviantArt came out and said we're banning nudity, kinks, fan-fiction, ships, kissing, or anything suggesting bodily contact. they'd implode within 20 minutes as everyone abandons them.

hypershock18

When I use the term porn, it's not just, stuff with explicit scenes but stuff that is mainly made to titillate. It can range from sexy posing and outfits to nudity. Yeah, these puritan types think they're doing a good job banning porn, but all they're doing is making it hard for creators and audience and end up ruining the site by causing less creators submit work to them

Chumlee99

While, as we have seen time and time again, giving a pass to far worse things cause reasons but we who just want to enjoy the female figure on a much fatter scale, we’re the real bad guys 😒

hypershock18

I did wonder about taking collective legal action, if a bunch of us can get a bunch of lawyers and work together, we can challenge this new rule as a free speech violation

hypershock18

I did hear some artists thinking of using subscribestar

hypershock18

For taking action, I don't ask that we win, at least bring attention to the issue and perceptions revolving around feederism. That we challenge why art of it is bad and how the perceptions can be challenged

hypershock18

As well as challenge the rights of creators to make and distribute porn (ranging from softcore sexy outfit/scenario art to explicit hardcore stuff).

SarcasticObserver1

Well it just dosent make sense cause you have creators like opik, softcore, sweetnessadmirer etc who make fiction fantasy soft core nsfw content/art barely even classified as porn. Then you have OF accounts of actual people doing very graphic things irl and selling questionable items to their fan bases. And people are saying the artists are the bad ones. 🤔
