Love how Katie blimping back up is down almost horror like, love that we see other fruit blobs in the shadows around her. I wonder if it’s because she’s a blueberry that’s why they offer her an management position almost like there’s a hierarchy of fruit

Those first five panels are just the most perfect blow-by-blow of watching a berry-to-be's limbs getting absorbed into their swelling body. From her struggle to bend her arm until it straightens our with a swell of juice to her hands and feet becoming plump, vestigial, and useless, your panel work and sense of progression in the details is some of the best. I know I speak for a lot of folks when I say I was shocked to find that the panicked, horrified berrygirl who tried desperately to escape her fate from Pick Don't Eat had become a loyal company woman in Wacky Candy, who enjoyed inflicting the same ballooning fate on others. I love the slow progression going on here in how she was turned, especially portraying both visually and in dialogue the hopelessness of her situation, and the devil's bargain that lies before her as she faces a life of endless swelling and juicing, just like those mute, helpless berries in the background. Or she could simply cooperate... I guess she's lucky blueberries get special dispensation for the management program! If she had stumbled into a strawberry patch way back when, she might not have had the choice lol
