Oda looked up to Toriyama big time. There's a lot he's written about how Toriyama was his hero and that he inspired him to create Manga. If you haven't seen it already Oda released an amazing letter after Toriyama passed that's worth a read.

OldManMag

Hyped for the rest of this arc. Its a slow burn but its a great arc thats slept on because its a lot of info/lore for later and people usually just want nonstop action.

Mugiwara

the first half of this arc is kind of a drag.... but it gets better later

Low key recommend watching the Episode of Skypiea movie on crunchyroll. It’s got better animation and it condenses the whole arc into 1hr 30min instead of watching 54 episodes (each 25 min long). I know some will argue that you will be missing out on some stuff but the show always gives you flashbacks in later episodes so idk. Personally not a big fan of this arc but it’s up to y’all. Love y’all’s reactions tho keep it up

I love this arc and is the epitome of adventure for the series and a good step up in the lore. I remember I used to read One Piece in Shonen Jump monthly and I found out you could read fan translations online that released the Japanese chapters. Skypiea was where I caught up to the Japanese releases and read the arc on a weekly basis.

LoneCourier21

You're right fr. Skypeia is real different from the past arcs in really good ways, yet similar in the necessary ones.

LoneCourier21

Everybody who is so far now into their OP journey is eating. From Alabasta on each arc is better than the last except 1. The other like 7 arcs ahead plus Skypeia are just nuts.

Dragoncurry

I've waited a long time for the Otakubros to get here from that first video i watched. Water 7 around the corner, HANG IN THERE SQUAD.

MoralessThePhoenix

Enjoy the unique journey of Skypea!! Let you know not even much of the big steppers stepped into this land 😈
