Snapshot 0.7 Progress (5/31/2024) (Patreon)

Hey all! As you all may have figured, creating characters now takes substantially more time than it used to in 1.7.10. This is due to several factors:

1. More life responsibilities now that the dev team is a decade older.

2. A higher quality product.

That being said, I realize there has been no release so far this year but we are still working on the mod and trying to get the next update out to you guys soon. This brings up today's poll. After talking with Hero, who now does most of the models and animations, we have a time frame for a potential release. If we release this June, we will have 3 new characters and a few new alts at most. However, given another month, we can finalize a 4th addition and spend more time fine-tuning things while adding more alts for these characters. Vote whichever you prefer.

Either way, you should start to see an increase in the amount of sneak peeks coming out within the next month, now that the majority of the update is close to being finalized.

As far as the public release is concerned, we're still on track to release the first public alpha this year. To clarify, the 1.18.2 public alpha is not the finalized version of the mod with all the previous characters and features of the 1.7.10 version. That would be unrealistic, given that the 1.18.2 mod is pretty much a new mod in every aspect except for its name. Its purpose is so the general public has something to play with while we continue to add new content.

That being said, no matter which way the poll goes, keep an eye out for previews of snapshot 0.7 this month!
