My lovely subject is a real trooper. It was a crazy day when we shot this. There was a storm rolling in over the island. The clouds were so low it seemed we could reach up and touch them. The wind was blowing steady at least 30 knots and the waves were just churning onto the shoreline. It was a perfect day for photography and for experimentation. So I spent most of the time playing with extremely long shutter durations to capture the motion of the suf. Doll did a great job of holding a pose often for several minutes at a time. I was shooting through a ten stop neutral reduction filer (the Lee Big Stopper) and closing the lens down to f/16 and such. So in many of these images if you zoom in close you can find fault in the movement of the model. But if yo back up and just look at it as if it were a painting hanging on a wall you might appreciate the coming storm as we did.
